We used Richard's company, RB Central Systems, to install a complete MVHR system for our new build last year and again this year for servicing. We were truly impressed by their knowledge, expertise, and professionalism regarding the MVHR system. Their pricing is also very competitive.

I have no reservations in recommending them to anyone considering installing an MVHR system in their home.

I used Richard's company to install my MVHR & vacuum system about eight years ago on my new build.
The loft heat exchanger started to get noisy recently, so I contacted Richard to see what could be the problem, he said it sounded like a fan issue. As I live in Essex I told Richard to call in when he had work in the area & after a few weeks he called to say he could pop in on the way to a nearby job, he diagnosed the problem as a worn fan bearing, so he stripped the fan box apart & replaced both bearings to be on the safe side, he was only here for 45 mins or so, so all in all, a quick repair, when I asked how much he said no charge as it was a simple fix.
I had to force some money in to his hand as good trades people should be rewarded for an excellent outcome to my problem. The system is now running nice & quietly & ready for the Winter season.
This is not the only time he has been more than helpful, when he was installing the MVHR system, he helped me finish off fitting the vacuum system, something that was not part of his job quote as I was fitting this myself, so all in all a good company to use if you are thinking about MVHR & vacuum systems.

We are an Architectural company who have appointed Richard to install MVHR systems for two of our projects.

We are currently finding it difficult to obtain the Envirovent design for the installation despite having requested the design numerous time by email and text.

The building inspector has also raised concerns about the lack of fire collars and non compliance to fire safety with flexible ducts through compartment floors.

We have requested a meeting and I’m very much hoping that we are able to amicably resolve the issues

I will keep you updated with our progress and hope to be in a position to amend this review for a more positive one.

Richard is helpful and a nice person but very very difficult to get hold of if there is an issue with the system that he has installed.

I had an MVHR system, bought from Envirovent, installed by RB late last year. The installation engineer did a marvellous job. However, since January I have had a problem with the system. Getting hold of RBCS was very difficult and it took several calls and emails to get a response. Today Richard came out and advised the unit is faulty. As I bought it directly from the manufacturer, Richard will liaise with them to get it replaced. After a difficult start, I hope that RBS now have the matter in hand.

I was referred to RB Central Vac & Vent by BEAM who manufacture the products that RB install. I was contacted by Richard and Carla, and they could not be more helpful. I had an Air Source PIV system with a wireless switch installed by Richard, who was polite and prompt and he explained everything very thoroughly. We opted for a wireless switch, which allows you to control the air flow remotely; this is definitely a must as we tend to adjust it often.

We no longer get any condensation on our windows and the house feels fresher.

I thoroughly recommend Air Source PIV and RB Vac & Vent.

We have had a vacuum system installed for over 12 years, and finally it decided to go... When Richard came over instead of trying to sell us a new system with bells and whistles he said he knew what the problem was and would just service our existing Duovac system. We now a our vacuum system up and running, Richard showed that he was honest and worked with integrity - a rare trait these days

RB Central Vacuum & Ventilation systems recently installed a ventilation system in my salon to make it Covid-19 compliant. Their engineer Phill installed a fresh air system to keep me and my customers safe. Highly recommend these guys, very professional!

Being a house builder and having seen in the past how poor-quality installation of these systems can be detrimental to their performance, I knew a quality install was important as well as quality product and reliable back up. That is why I have gone with Richard and his team for my own house build with the Beam Central Vacuum & MVHR system.
They have been first class from specification to commission and sign off and am currently using them on our next project. cheers

Richard attended site yesterday and successfully completed our MVHR ducting first fix in a thoroughly professional and friendly manner, also being happy to help resolve a design/drawing issue previously not seen by me, and furthermore, readily undertaking out-of scope works in cutting ducting holes etc, all without the usual request for additional monies. I actually said to Richard as he left that I was confident the job would be well delivered on the back of the excellent pre-installation back office service offered by Carla. Very refreshing, and would not hesitate to recommend Richard and his team to anybody looking for a good MVHR installer.

I was researching MVHR companies at Build-it at Bluewater, Kent and when I stopped at RB`s display I was impressed with Richards knowledge of his products and the quality of equipment on (working) display. I gave him a plan and it just went from there! They arrived and first fixed and then returned to final fix and did a fantastic job! The quality of materials is excellent as is their workmanship! I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone who needs their expertise! Thankyou Richard, Carla (and Carlos for going into a hot roof space! ).

We used RB central systems over the duration of our self build. We met Richard at a trade show and from day 1 he has been incredibly helpful. As a self builder I wanted to instal the equipment myself to save on money. Richard designed a system for both the Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery and the central vacuum system. He assisted me with advice and checked the first fix for me. Following completion Richard commissioned the system and we have been over the moon with the end results. Their prices were very competitive with high quality equipment supplied.
We would highly recommend Richard, Carla and their Team and most certainly use them again.

Huge over-estimating of labour time to justify price.

We used this company to carry out a labour only installation for a ventilation system.

Initial contact with Richard (owner) was friendly & pleasant. He provided a quotation for installation only (as i wanted to ordered the equipment myself for assurance of genuine parts). Richards quote was more than the cost of the equipment, so i contacted him to discuss. Richard advised the cost was due to 2 installers required, for a minimum of 1 week plus he had allowed for 2 additional days if required to complete the works.

Only 1 installer turned up & it took him 2 days to complete the works!!!
I was advised by the fire alarm company installing a new fire alarm system that the installation from the ventilation company does not meet British standard. When i contacted Richard about this he was not aware of the British standard requirements....

Following the various negative correspondence with both Richard & wife Carla in the office since completion, it is with genuine regret I used this company.

We have recently had Richard & team install our central vacuum system & our Heat Recovery system in our barn conversion.
both fabulous systems work well & we are very happy with both systems!
Rb Central Systems provided an Excellent service & Richard was always extremely helpful throughout.

We was so pleased we also had Richard complete our electrical outside lighting,which looks amazing & get many compliments.

My husband and myself met Richard at a trade show several years ago. We were thinking of building our own home. Richard was very informative and kept us up to date with all the latest Beam services available. Moving forward 3 years we have just completed our dream home which includes a fully retractable vacuum system and a Mechanical ventilation heat recovery unit, both installed by Richard and his colleague. We are extremely pleased with our new systems which are enveyed by all visitors to our house.
