The gentleman whom we spoke to was very helpful, knowledgeable and very good at explaining everything, patient and understanding.
We took out the policy there and then as the quote was very reasonable compared with lots of other companies. Would highly recommend Purely Pets

Absolutely absurd prices
Absolutely absurd prices. My annual premium for my Jack Russell Terrier has gone up by 29% to £522. This is despite never making a claim and other than some analk gland issues when he was pup a clean bill of health. These companies are taking advantage of us and they wonder why so many end up needing rescue, people just cant afford it. £522/year insurance for a dog that cost £160. Disgusting!!!

I have been with purely pets for 5 years, when I get the reminder for renewal I always take out a new policy as this year it was about £50 cheaper than my renewal quote, I don't know why insurance companies do this, they should think about loyalty wiith their customers, this refers to all types of insurance

I appreciate that it may be frustrating when a new policy is cheaper than your renewal, this may be for a number of reasons.
A new policy will contain a waiting period before your cover starts and will often exclude any conditions that occurred prior to the policy starting. At renewal, our policy would look to cover conditions that may have been present in the previous term providing there are no breaks in cover.
Purely Pets offer a range of policies you can switch between so if you are looking to reduce your premium, but keep existing conditions covered, please do not hesitate to contact our team on 0330 102 5748
