The chap at the desk was helpful, and showed me the issue with my car. He was very professional. Would definitely recommend and use again. They couldnt get the part I needed, but I managed to find one 2nd hand, and they did the re test free. As a woman I felt very comfortable there and there were other women bringing their cars there too. I got an mot at short notice and it was a reasonable price too. Worth 5 stars!

When my car came in for 4 new tyres the…
When my car came in for 4 new tyres the handbrake was working, when you’d finished it wasn’t. I complained but no solution was offered, I had to get the issue fixed myself.

Great service at Reception - Dave remembered me and said he would fit me in ASAP. The damaged tyre was replaced and all alignments checked. I was out and sorted within an hour - great!

Disappointing MOT experience at Protyre Taunton
Extremely disappointed with my MOT experience at Protyre Taunton on 16/10/26. My car failed due to a faint windscreen scratch that takes effort to even locate, alongside an advisory for tyres with 5mm of tread remaining.
Concerned I could waste hundreds of pounds on unnecessary repairs, I sought a second opinion from a nearby garage, who agreed with me that shouldn’t have failed mot, then took my car to a garage in Wellington for another MOT. It passed with no advisories.
I find it difficult to understand how such a minor mark justified a failure. After years of loyalty, Protyre have lost my custom. I expected better judgement and a fairer experience.

Overall an easy and friendly experience. Ordered my tires and appointment online. Turned up at the correct time, tires fitted with no hassle. Complete tyre check was done, and all done. In and out within 45mins. Waiting room is pleasant & has a coffee/tea/hot chocolate machine.
