Arrived at Protyre for my booked time and was greeted by Paul, they weren’t too busy on that day so all four tyres were changed in about 30 minutes.
Easy to book online with competitive prices and Paul was very helpful.

Paul and team knocked my MOT out of the part again, a few minor bits needed doing and I was on a time crunch so they found time to fit me in the very next day and got it done super fast, been going to Paul for 15 years now and have followed him from garage to garage, and I will continue to use him rather that the garage local to me whenever I can just because of his service!

Really helpful, clean waiting area with viewing cameras making the whole experience transparent to all parties.. Recommend

I ordered 255/35/20 tyres for my Tesla Model 3 Performance (with stock 20-inch wheels) through BlackCircles, with the fitting booked at Protyre Segensworth. The fitting date was confirmed, but a few days later the shop cancelled the booking, saying they couldn’t fit the tyres on that date.

After contacting BlackCircles customer service, I managed to reschedule another appointment for a few weeks later, which Protyre again confirmed. On the day, I arrived 20 minutes early, but they didn’t start working on the car until over an hour later. Then, to my surprise, they told me they couldn’t fit the tyres because they were slightly wider than the original 235/35/20 size and supposedly not rated for EVs.

Their reasoning made little sense, the Tesla Model 3 Performance (1839 kg) is actually lighter than many petrol performance cars like the Mercedes C63 (2111 kg) or BMW M3 xDrive (1995 kg). These tyres and sizes are commonly used and recommended by the Tesla community, with no issues whatsoever.

What’s most frustrating is that Protyre didn’t notify me in advance, they had the tyres for weeks but never mentioned they wouldn’t fit them. Had they done so, I would have gone elsewhere and avoided wasting an entire day. This delay also messed up my MOT plans, as I specifically booked new tyres before the test.

Overall, the experience was a complete waste of time, with poor communication, unhelpful staff, and zero accountability. I definitely would not recommend Protyre Segensworth to Tesla owners or other EV owners or anyone expecting professionalism, reliability and cares about their valuable time.

Paul & the team were brilliant, they fitted my lad's car in last minute, to fix a tyre issue we had discovered the day before he left for university, when they had no space available. This meant my lad went off to Uni without us worrying about his travel and need to get the car fixed in Cardiff.

Website was easy to use, price was good and it was easy to book an appointment for a convenient time. The service was speedy and bang on time expectations.

Having been a very satisfied customer when they were in Wickham it was a shame, but understandable, they moved to Segensworth. The same team with much better facilities justified asking them to service my car. Well worth keeping with them!

Right from the word go all the staff were helpful professional and understood the problem with my car. They appreciated that I had travelled from Winchester, as the local pro tyre were unable to deal with the problem. They also drove me to the nearest bus stop in order to return home. They kept me informed of all that needed to be done in the repair and showed pictures of it too . I would use them again if I were living closer but highly recommend them.

Easy to book. Able to accommodate preferred date and time. I was expected and all info ready. Speedy MOT, all done thoroughly.

Visited Protyre Segensworth for the first time today for a 4 tyre fitting and front wheel alignment. Great service! The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend and would definitely go there again!

Booked in at relatively short notice and at a very competitive price. Easy access to the new location and parking not an issue. I waited for the mot to complete and thoroughly enjoyed the excellent coffee provided. Thank you Paul and your team for your professional service, good conversations and excellent coffee! Dropped my car here because I thought I had a dodgy ABS sensor based on the sheer volume of lights that came up on the dashboard. I dropped it at the end of the day and they said they would get it sorted ASAP.

Car was fixed the next day and as expected I had an ABS sensor replaced. The price was really reasonable and the work was done fast.

Great service, Paul is a lovely chap and will do what he can for you and you won’t get mugged off. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
