Went the extra mile for my car to pass MOT

When your a lady car owner you quite often get ripped off in a garage's but I've used protyre autocare for years now and the staff are great and they will not rip you off ☺️

We like a lot about Protyre. The friendliness, professionalism, punctuality of the work. But most of all we have full trust in them. You can be assured they wont do the dreaded "upselling" and suggest stuff you don't need. When it needs to be done, they'll let you know. We put both of our cars in for servicing and MOTs at our local Protyre. It hasn't even crossed our minds to go elsewhere.

I am up here working so needed to find a place to do my MOT. I came across ProTyre as they were round the corner from my work. What a lovely bunch of people.!
So friendly, chatty and super fast service. I really recommend as sometimes as a woman it can be intimidating in garages but these guys were nothing but lovely. Highly recommend.

I got my MOT done here and it was great, I was kept up to date on progress and it was done quickly, the staff were helpful and friendly.

All went to plan. Test on time, staff polite, car ready when expected.

Initially booked the free air conditioning check as it hasn't worked in my car since I bought it. Was told there was some gas left and pressure ok so should just need a top up, which I booked in together with an MOT. Car failed MOT but the defects had parts in stock so carried out the work. Not sure what parts were used but car is extremely loud now going over bumps and seems to crash over everything. Air conditioning wasn't fixed, was advised pressure and gas are holding so it could be a faulty sensor and they'd find the part and get me a cost. 3 weeks later and despite calling them numerous times I've heard nothing back so feel like I've wasted money topping the air con gas up for nothing.

Used Protyre in boro for a while now and i have never had any problems. Everyone is lovley and always happy to help and most importantly they get the job done. :))

Entered my car details online. To be told I had put the wrong gas in. Was told that the time I booked. No one would be th to to do it,”good job I came early” to be told it couldn’t be done I had to come back another day. Came back had my air con done. Which now doesn’t work to be told they don’t have a diagnostic machine to have a look and I would need to take it to another garage. Only went in for a regas now have no air con system at all. Absolute joke.

Took in with missfire issues, charged for new leads (no coil pack) for £301. Didn't solve the issue & told to take it elsewhere for a compression test. Not needed. Took elsewhere who located a loose lead to coil pack, refitted and issue gone! Wont be going back as had my eyes out! Due mot there next week but id rather lose the £30 paid!

Great garage. The lady at the Middlesbrough branch is fantastic and an asset to the company
