Late morning, I was about to set off on a 5-hour drive, car packed, when we noticed a screw in the wall of a tyre. Called in at Selectatyre Macclesfield, explained the situation and asked how soon they could look at it.
We were away in exactly 30 minutes with a new tyre. Excellent service.

Great customer service, can do attitude. Brought in 4 loose wheels, 4 loose winter tyres and 4 loose TMPS valves. My winter tyres alternate set of wheels was ready to leave the workshop within an hour - fitted, inflated to correct pressures, balanced. My special thanks goes to Dan, Andy and Danny for a superb job well done. I definitely recommend this tyre shop.

The person I saw was courteous and sorted my tyre out . He told me when I picked the car up what was done and why. He then helped me to reverse off the forecourt as it had snowed and it was easier for me.

My (front wheel drive) car is over 20 years old but is very low mileage. I visited Protyre Macclesfield (without contacting them in advance) with my car on 15 November 2024 because I had found that one front tyre had lost about a sixth of its pressure over about 2 months. Protyre were happy to investigate at once. Having investigated, they assured me that the tyre itself was fine, but that pressure was being lost at the tyre / wheel rim, and they had ground the rim to deal with the issue. This seems to have done the job. Protyre also told me both rear tyres were 12 years old, while both front tyres were only 5 years old - I later found from my paperwork history that Protyre were correct on both counts. Protyre advised me that the rear tyres showed signs of cracking and should be replaced. I agreed immediate replacement. In line with what I've gathered, from previous experience, is best practice, Protyre advised - and I agreed - that two new tyres be put at the front (so they would be on the driving wheels) and the two tyres staying on the car be moved to the back. All the work was done in about one hour. The Protyre staff were friendly, professional and supportive throughout.

However didn't get car on ramp until 40 mins after appointment time : appreciate they were busy but that seems too long before commencing the job

Staff were polite, knowledgeable and swift in the service I received, and price was keen.

I went with one problem on one tyre, they checked all tyres for me and sorted all issues.
