The whole purchase process was conducted online, initially with Tom G and final vehicle handover with Katie.

Each stage was conducted seamlessly with a professional but personal service from both Tom and Katie.

Their attention to detail in answering questions promptly, followed by a comprehensive handover were unsurpassed in my previous experience of buying a vehicle.

I would highly recommend this company and the two staff who processed the sale. Buying online and unseen can obviously be a daunting process and present a level of uncertainty but no worries here.... Every concern was well satisfied and I'm entirely content with my new purchase.

I contacted Powerlease after seeing a Tesla Model 3 with a spec I liked and price that seemed OK. I was advised by the pleasant sales lady I could come in the following day to view the car. The next day I drove 40 miles there and spoke with Brandon. I was told after some head scratching the car wasn't on site, and was actually on a transporter somewhere coming from Scotland. I was obviously annoyed that my time had been needlessly wasted, but there is no point flapping and bellowing about these things, as it changes nothing of course. Plus it's a business that want to sell cars, so it wasn't on purpose, but it is blatantly unprofessional this would happen at all of course.
Brandon was apologetic, though it wasn't his fault and he took me out in a newer model 3 of a similar spec, so I could at least get a feel for the car as I hadn't tried one before. This was obviously a smooth move on Brandon's part as I did something I have never done before when buying a car (moment of madness) and made a close offer on the other car I had gone to see - even though it wasn't even there, and said I would be happy to pay the £500 deposit then and there if accepted. I was looking for a bit of goodwill and to feel positive again about the purchase. Brandon went to his manager who was hidden away in a side office the whole time, then came back to decline the offer explaining they don't take offers, but said they would put a years warranty on it rather than the standard 90 day. I regained my senses and we agreed Brandon would contact me and let me know when the car arrives so I can go back again to see it. I was concerned about the deposit refund if the car wasn't right, and the 'policies' were uncomfortably vague when explained. Looking at other reviews I think I did the right thing not risking losing £500. I asked if they would hold the car as good will (just during the same weekend only), given the situation of me being misled, but this was refused too. I understand they don't hold cars, but you might make an exception for 48hrs max given the circumstances. But this business model is about instant volume sales only. That's not a dig, just how it is. I have written this on the same day it happened, so I may yet still buy the car (if it doesn't get sold through this crazy blind car buying people seem to do now, it's just daft - I realise the irony I nearly did it myself 😅), I'm happier risking losing the car than risking an avoidable financial loss though - there will always be another car! Brandon was very good, despite having no support from management or colleagues, on reflection, the fact I made an offer at all in what was a negative set of circumstances shows how well he recovered the situation and did his job. If management see this review, please do let him know he is doing a good job and show him some genuine appreciation, and was actually the only person from my perspective trying to create a professional environment and rectify the experience. There were other staff walking up and interrupting him for minor things, or causing him friction in moving vehicles around, and the hidden manager routine is just poor, but he just got on with it. I used to trade motorcycles, I have some experience in vehicle sales, so this is why I raise these points. People want an easy, respectful and pleasant buying experience, to have their questions answered to the point they are happy / reassured and confident enough they are doing the right thing for them and with the right company, it's not hard, but so many unfortunately get it wrong. I shall update/edit this review with the outcome, I know I find genuine experiences of companies useful when making a big purchase like this. We shall see if Brandon can save/close this sale, or if management nobble him! 🙂

Update: Call received a couple of days later, "the car has just arrived on the trailer".. I got in my car and I'm an hour away! When I arrive the car is there, just what I expected and I'm ready to start looking over it and seal the deal. Brandon comes out the office/posh trailer looking sheepish and said he had sent me a text about 10 mins after we spoke and didn't I get it, I told him I was driving (yeah, I'm the last person watching the road rather than texting - kind of a waste of self drive right?!). The bottom line is someone dropped a 10% deposit over the phone while I was driving there.

I was gutted, but that's the game now, shook Brandon's hand and wished him all the best.

People... I can't blame the seller for these issues so much, stop buying cars without seeing them first, you are giving all the power to the sellers, I shall do the same, customer solidarity! 🙌

Called in and spoke to Tom, my minimum requirement for a model s was full self driving with turbine wheels. Unfortunately the car I wanted with 21" Turbine wheel sold. Prices compared to other major vendors are quite competitive.

Found a vehicle a few days later with FSD capability however without the wheels. I absolutely loved the spec so decided to reserve vehicle online for £199. Day after Brandon called to take a further £500 payment. Felt slightly pressured so on principle didn't pay until I saw the vehicle physically. Called back same day and asked if they can get vehicle ready for collection in a couple of days and happy to pay the extra £500 reservation fee. Brandon couldn't/ didn't have the authority to get car ready in time. So I advised them to speak to management and try and get vehicle ready within 48hours ( I thought that was acceptable time ). At the same time they advised me that someone is looking to purchase this particular model and may sell if I didn't process deposit.

Ofcourse the car sold 😅🤔 . Maybe it wasn't meant for me. Just thought my refund should've been arranged instantly It didn't happen until a few days later ( not bothered ). Notified end of business day.

Spoke to Craig the manager not to complain but to arrange a possible alternative model s. Unfortunately no FSD options nor with Turbine wheels.

This didn't end as badly as I found a beautiful pearl white Tesla ( just beautiful ). Craig confirmed I should be able to pickup if I visited branch. Did think about Audi Etron at 1 point as an alternative. That thought didn't materialize..lol

Visited branch to view Audi Etron and White Model S. Fell in love with the white on white model S, however car wasn't ready to driveway as initially promised. They are extremely busy so it's understandable. Please confirm with them before you visit.

In the end had to visit a day after due to finance technical/ porting issues once everything was in place. Told to visit at 4pm but car wasn't ready until 5.30pm. I had to drop all my work related commitments to drive their so slightly disappointed as I arrived 3.50pm.

My advice to anyone buying a Tesla go in and check out the car once it's valeted and cleaned. Check for panel gaps ( known issues ) and look for DRL issues. I didn't spot mine (Drl issue) until I got home. Tbh just love my car to even call the team and speak to them. Did get 1 years EV warranty so hopefully that's covered.

Lauren, Katie was quite pleasant on handover day so no complaints there.

This purchase was 4-5year in the making so nothing could've ruined it. Overall not surprised about the delays but wishing all the best to the Powerlease Team.

Can’t trust these guys, drove nearly 2 hours to powerlease after making an appointment to see a 7 seater Tesla X only for them to realise it’s a 5-seater. The thing I’m not happy about is the way the sales have handled the situation. Just a waste of time. If they can make a mistake like this, they have lost my trust.
