Extremely disappointed with a repair to a quartz worktop the colour match is totally different and the edge is poor. I would not recommend this company

Unfortunately, I had to reglaze my shower tray via my insurance. I wasn't too pleased about it as I can forsee problems for years to come. For example, anything dropped on the surface will cause it to chip and peel off. But it's either this or have my complete ensuite refitted. So, reluctantly, I allowed the finisher to reglaze the tray. It looks ok to the naked eye, but still wasn't up to the standard I expected the finish to be. You can see by close examination, there are blotches on the surface. It feels grainy to the touch. And only after a couple of months, its started to peel around the sink hole. I knew this was going to happen, and I should have stuck to my guns with the insurer. Now, it's probably a lifetime of annual maintenance to repatch all the peelings. This has really stressed me out. Given it took 5 months to have insurance to complete the job.

This is a doubled edged review as I was entirely happy with the person who attended my property to do the repair and he did an excellent job. However, I had cause to contact the company (on three occasions) to ask for a minute bit of the paint they used on my repair but was told ‘they do not supply this!’ which is entirely frustrating as other companies would leave a small sample in case of a mishap. It also took the company three calls to finally tell me that they did not supply ‘sample pots.’ Given that they always mix up more than they actually use on a job leaving a small sample pot is entirely possible. Poor customer service.

I asked for a quote, having sent photos, all I needed was the foil veneer replaced on a small section of a UPVC door frame, according to their website, this is exactly the sort of repair they excel at, but the reply was they couldn’t do it

But their website claims
Whatever’s happened to your UPVC door, we can fix it by accurately rebuilding even the most complex damage and colour matching the repair to the original. We could even change the colour of your whole door to give it a new look.

I just can’t believe those before and after photos are genuine, if they can’t simply stick a length of foil onto a UPVC door, they say they can re foil a complete double glazed installation…..

Regarding the response from PS, that reply doesn’t hold water, the repair enquired about was simple compared to all h the ‘ customer photos’ on their website. Also their own statement says

So basically turning down the job completely goes against this statement, I personally would steer very clear of this company, 50% of reviews are negative, think that says it all

I contacted these guys in a last ditch attempt to repair some chipped render and an oil based stain on a new build house where the builder has used a cheap Krend.

Initially very responsive and with a quote and dealing with booking in the technicians visit. Enquiry even had to go to the “technical” team to be reviewed so I was hopefully optimistic.

After waiting a week for the technician to arrive and having to arrange for someone to be at home, we were told that there was nothing he could do and he didn’t even attempt to fix the chi even though a similar photo is on the website of a similar repair.

I was fully aware the render couldn’t be cleaned prior to the technicians visit and knew it would require a paint or sprayed finish. He also said he couldn’t colour match on site.

Complete waste of time and energy!

I also asked the account manager dealing with the initial quote to explain what had happened and he hasn’t got back to me. This was a week ago!

We moved into a property and the UPVC Door had a significant hole in it. So we explored the options to repair rather than replace. We found plastic-surgeon, got a quote, and went ahead. The communication was great, Craig the engineer arrived as stated, was polite, clean and the work was amazing. It was a pleasure to have him deal with the issue - It literally transformed the door back. Would highly recomend the work.

Really disappointing. Tiny 2mm chip to area of quartz website. Having used the company before for a uvpc door repair I really had high hopes. The repair is of poor quality. Basically put some glue on and then painted some grey paint in a very poor attempt to match the grain. The worst bit however is that in the process of repairing the tiny area they have used something abrasive and scratched the high gloss finish off the worktop which now looks awful. The repair and further damage caused now looks worse than the original issue. Discussed with regional manager who agreed the repair is substandard and that damage has been caused to my property. They are returning on Friday to try and make good but I am incredibly concerned about them causing more problems. I hope I am wrong. Sadly I still seem to be being charged in full despite further damage being caused to my property. Will not use again and cannot recommend for worktop repairs. 1000+ pound of almost new quartz worktop now feels ruined by this company. You’d be better off leaving damage alone than paying people to come and make it worse.

I have a small damaged area to my laminate flooring so i contacted Plastic Surgeon as this is their add "High quality repairs to a whole range of damage to laminate flooring" and got this reply "Having reviewed the damage that you have sent us, we do not feel confident that we can carry out a long-term successful repair that you will be happy with and therefore are unable to help on this occasion" The damage is about as big as my little fingernail. Hopeless !

Had a new worktop installed and it got accidentally damaged with a hot pan.
Instructed PS to carry out the repair after looking at photos of work they had done on their site.
The person who came to our house first of all needs to wear his trousers correctly. Looking at the crack of a persons backside is neither pleasant or professional.
I left him and a colleague to it whilst my partner worked from home upstairs. They completed the job within 1.5 hours. When I got home I looked at the repair and have to say was thoroughly disappointed.
The repair looks awful, the grain finish on the worktop has been sanded out, the area is still raised and the colour doesn't match. Not only that but whatever substance they used has been spilt on to another area of my worktop which has now marked it.
On booking they requested my card details to 'secure the booking' but yesterday they took £182 from my account without authorisation.
The £2 was taken from card checks made prior to completion so they have not refunded that.
I have complained directly to them on email supplying photos but am yet to get a response.
Not only am I thoroughly disappointed with the work I did not authorise for payment from that account and would have paid on invoice.
Wouldn't recommend or use again.

Well what an absolute superstar Nic was who attended our property today to address some doorframe UPVC threshold severe scratches - application of ceramic paint as was cut through to metal plinth on a new build property.
Nic was not only friendly and professional, knowledgeable and keen for the challenge. The door thresholds look fab and probably better than they were when they were installed.
Would highly recommend based on this experience and use again. Thank you Nic

What nice chaps - very knowledgeable and honest about what could and couldn’t be achieved. They took their shoes off as soon as they set foot inside and asked permission before opening my cupboard door. Chose not to attempt repair but would be confident about contacting them again. Even the dog liked them!

We have a small area of damage where a hot pan was placed on our acrylic kitchen surface. Nothing unusual - it must happen all the time. Having asked for an estimate we were informed that they couldn't repair it.
I was grateful for their honesty but confused. If you can't repair this basic, simple and very common damage which you promote on your site, what exactly do you do? Having looked at the reviews, it would appear a number of people have had the same response. I'm sure you'll respond with some very reassuring message about wanting to provide a great service but it may be better for you to amend your offering on your web site.

Tried to get a quote, very abrupt & refused to let me speak to a manager. When I said I'll complain he refused to give the manager name. Very poor customer service & very unreasonable.

Despite their website advertising that they carry out flooring repairs, they’ve now confirmed (rather bluntly) that they in fact do not carry out any repairs to flooring anymore.

As stated in my review, you stated that you don’t carry out flooring repairs at all, you hadn’t even seen the photos of the damage before stating that you no longer conduct floor repairs. This service is still listed on your website, I will be reporting this to the advertising standards agency.

Alan came to fix our wooden floors and units after a sunlight had shattered. I was a bit concerned about how our flooring would look as I didn't it to look like it was a 'filler' job. What Alan did was incredible job, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference at all. Thank you !!!

Dale did what looks like a fantastic job today. He was a lovely guy & was very respectful & removed his shoes without me even having to ask. The bath looks like new. Very impressed with the work he did this morning. Thank you.

Mark from plastic surgeon attended today to repair a water mark on a wooden worktop
I would like to commend mark on his workmanship, demeanour, timekeeping and just general personality
He’s fine representation of this company and should be commended on his care and passion for his job
He also provided great advice moving forward
The company overall are fantastic there communications was brilliant
Would I recommend them? Without a shadow of a doubt money very well spent

Having a,new kitchen fitted in June then placing a hot pan down in august you can tell I was distraught my daughter told me to contact this company she had used .I was sceptical but am delighter with the result after being quoted for a new worktop this was the cheaper option

I inquired for work that was already on their site, their response was they cant do the job, further queries was met with the same response with no clarity. What I would liked is clarity on why a service being offered on their site cannot be provided.

Edit - Thanks for the response what i would have expected is the below, that even if you could not do all the repair work, suggest options for e.g. Chips on kitchen cabinet - On your website you mentioned you do repair like this.

I felt the response from your team was abrupt and lacking in clarity in terms of why this work could not be done when you specialize in fixing kitchen units etc. Anyway i will leave this as it is and hope you can look to make your responses clearer when work cannot be done on why not.

Edit - i would recommend you update your site as this was one of the fixes I was seeking if you do not provide. It would help if you improve your assessment of repairs as even if you couldn't fix all that was requested to evaluate what you could have fixed. That's why perhaps calling up customers might help your business rather then single line emails, easier to drop an email though. Refer to kitchen-unit-repairs on your site.
