Having approached plastic surgeon for quotation on sanding and oiling kitchen worktops, after three weeks of awaiting i was presented with quotation of nearing 2.5 thousands of pounds. The justification was some technical smoke & mirror with the logic of bringing heavy machinery etc. Waste of time.

Terrible company. AVOID.

Arrived to our house organised by jacuzzi. The engineer let himself in despite us not being at home. Opened the back gate where he assumed the hot tub to be and started inspecting the hot tub whilst on the phone.

When my husband arrived back and asked him why he had let him self in he was rude and confrontational. We have this all recorded on CCTV.

He then left rubbish all over the patio. With polish splattered all over the hot tub. This has to be rectified by a further visit from a senior team member.

The engineer damaged our flower bed and tried to hide this (again all on cctv). He stood Al over the edge of the flower bed damaging a wooden sleeper and continuing to walk all across it damaging it further. Leaving a terrible mess with no apology or Acknowledgement.

Terrible communication we are now many months on and still waiting for resolution.

Poor service. Poor communication and poor workmanship.

Plastic surgeon came out to repair our brand new shower tray, shower panels and side panel on bathroom unit after glass shower panel exploded stone chipping them. We were told the finish would be as good as new. The matching of the shower panels was good (durability unknown at this time). The color match on the side panels was good but required a second visit to get the gloss finish as it was left rough to the touch. Big problems with the shower tray, the color was not as bright white as when new, we were left with a mottled orange peel finish which we were told would require another visit to polish out (which did not happen) as a result the tray holds the dirt. The repairs to the chips were not satisfactory as pitting is still visible. The silicone around the edge of the tray was masked up and then the tray sprayed, the result is an uneven line and the finish started to peel off the silicone and onto the tray after 1 week. This may not have been so noticeable had the silicone not been anthracite and tray bright white. When this was reported we were told that it was already like that prior to them spraying it? The worst problem is that the finish has failed after only a couple of weeks of use exposing the bright white tray underneath (which has got worse as water gets underneath lifting more of the finish). We will have nothing else to do we this company, we cannot recommend them. The level of service we received and the quality of the finish was terrible!

Following the installation of a new bathroom, which was completed when unfortunately I was not present, I was very disappointed that a tile was cut round a toilet. This resulted in a 3.5cm line in a tile that detracted from the finished article and was a constant source of irritation to me. Having watched promo videos, I obtained a competitive quote from Plastic Surgeons, which was easy to do online. Finisher (Jack Clayton) filled me with confidence (there’s always a nagging doubt that things could be made worse) and I am very pleased with result. Good work!!

So far not impressed. First attempt (7th March) at repairing a ding in our shower tray failed completely within a couple of days with paint bubbling up and flaking off all across the area they had resprayed. This was reported on 10th March, but we are still waiting for a visit to redo the repair. So far the earliest they have been able to offer is 27th March, over two weeks after the problem was reported. We've been fobbed off with multiple promises of a call from the operations manager, but so far nothing. Not what you expect when you pay £450 for a supposedly "quality" repair.

Update (3 May). They did manage to come up with an earlier date, but the issue is still not resolved nearly two months later. The technician that came to strip and respray the shower tray wasn't comfortable doing it, telling us that it may only last six months and we would not be able to use standard cleaning products on it. After several discussions between our bathroom fitter (who had damaged the tray in the first place and was arranging the repair) and the operations manager at The Plastic Surgeon, the technician agreed to go ahead with the respray. Unfortunately the finish was not good - very uneven and patchy, matt in some places, shiny in others. The Plastic Surgeon proposed to send a polisher out to polish it to see if they could get to a uniform finish, but over a month later we are still waiting for this to be arranged.

The original booking was 1199439. The repair (after the flaked paint) was 1202944.

Terrible work and response

2 dots to repair on an aluminium, PS came out sprayed the outerframe in a different finish to the original finish, also sprayed onto what was not required. Left dust particles in the whole finish. Looks terrible, they don't respond to emails requesting a joint visit to review how they will put it right

Excellent customer service, very speedy appointment after the quote, by far the cheapest, I had asked another 2 competitors for quotes and these were at least £100 cheaper than the cheaper of the other 2 companies.
The result is absolutely fantastic, we have an acrylic sink and a perfume bottle had chipped a square edge. The finish is seamless, like new, very very happy and much cheaper than replacing, thank you.

We had a badly damaged kitchen unit which looked like it would be very difficult to repair because of its high-gloss finish (a competitor firm said it simply couldn't be done). Glad to say the guys worked hard to restore the surface to something close enough to its original state to be presentable.

One of the drivers in the plastic surgeon van reg ending in HGO on the A19 this morning driving like a mad man! Sent footage to DVLA for dangerous driving.

I really thought , no way can a floor tile be mended , was expecting the whole floor to be replaced - wrong - superb job - can’t see the repair the hand painted pattern is perfect .
This was an insurance claim , the insurers use this company all the time.

Damaged laminate worktop repair.

Really impressed with the repair they did for us, customer was too. Avoided a very expensive worktop replacement.

Excellent repair of a small chip on the top edge of a dekton worktop in our kitchen. The booking system was very efficient, the repairer was friendly and professional and the work was done to a high standard to the extent that the worktop looks perfect again with the point of damage now undetectable.

Overall, extremely unpleasant experience. Positives: very good organization - detailed emails, text messages. Very pleasant and polite on arrival. Negatives: for some reason the “plastic surgeon” Gareth tried to complete the job unreasonably quickly and was not preparing/cleaning the plastic surfaces to be sprayed over properly. When politely asked about it, he became quite aggressive saying that I should not intervene/ask any questions and only look at it when the job is completed. Otherwise, he would drop the job in the middle and leave. When I asked about the warranty, the answer was negative. Therefore, I believe, it was reasonable to ask for a proper surface preparation and removal of any debris and loosely bonded contaminants before spraying over with a paint. As this job was booked and paid through David Wilson Homes (their after sales care), the site manager arrived at the spot and instructed the “surgeon” to do the job properly. After he had left, one could hear lots of swearing, shouting and banging around the working area, extremely unprofessional and simply not acceptable. Despite all the comments and instructions from David Wilson Homes, the “surgeon” still painted over patches of untreated surfaces that are likely to peel off being exposed to outdoor temperature variations. This is our first experience like it … shockingly unprofessional behavior.

Joe from Plastic Surgeon's York team did an absolutely spot on job repairing our brand new bath after it got accidentally damaged whilst being installed. Not only was his work excellent as the repair is totally invisible but he was polite, professional and courteous throughout.

Booked four weeks in advance stated they need 2 days for the repairs. Called 20 min before due to arrive and cancelled the booking stating someone called in sick! Complete amateur service. Now lost 2 days holiday, not a happy customer!

if it's more than just a scratch they won't repair it.
Before &after on their website is a lie. I had almost exact same damage as on one of the pics on their website and they said they can't handle it

Had my fibre glass bath repaired in March 2022, great job but noticed that there was a slight crack again in one of the areas repaired.Emailed Plastic Surgeon and they arranged an appointment for this to be corrected, no fuss or hassle. Today Ashley came and repaired and did a great job, was also told the 2 year guarantee would start again from today 😁😁. Really great service would thoroughly recommend!

Our original appointment was 08/09 but Ben had a local job and cancellation so we got the work done a week early.

Ben, the engineer was highly professional, friendly, tidy and completed the work to a very high standard. You cannot tell when the patio doors were damaged.

I am more than happy with the work and would endorse this company highly.

From the first contact with this company through to the final repair the service frankly could not have been better. The Estimate came through within minutes of me making initial contact , my email query was answered , very wel and again quickly. We needed the job sorted within a few days as we had paying guests arriving within a few days , the lovely girl/lady who i sopke with (apologies for not remembering your name ) said she would try to get scheduled and true to her she did. Christopher Jacket , let us know wwhat time he was arriving and the repair he did was absolutely first class with the worktop looking like new. Fantastic Experience Thank You Very Much
