My monthly repeat order was not delivered this week as it has been for several years now. No contact from Pet Planet via email. Went to their website to see they marked my order as unsent because "some items out of stock". Emailed to ask that they send what they DO have in stock. When I was told nothing was in stock I checked other online pet food providers who had everything I usually order. Cancelled my subscription because of the lack of communication. Apparently administration was filed on 13 April and I bet the company ceases trading.

I was a little hesitant at ordering because I'd heard they had gone into receivership but the website said they'd been taken over and everything working as normal. So on the
15th Apr 2026 I placed an order and it arrived the next day. Absolutely spot on.

Made the order early Friday morning, was surprised the order was delivered by dpd the next day. Great service and products where on sale at a good price.

Do not order from this company! Awful customer service set up, they didn't deliver my parcel and they take too long to come back to you so you can't resolve the situation. No contact number.

I have a lot of cat furniture, and the "SmartCat Door Climber" I bought from PetPlanet is easily the worst I have encountered. It's not worth the cost of shipping. The components are poor quality and the instructions merely show how the parts are laid out - no information about how to connect them. I had to Google around to find assembly instructions for an older and seemingly better-quality version, but I'm not going to risk putting this thing on my door.

Where do I start. I had previously had a parcel “go missing” with evri, it got replaced. But then last week it happened again, they then “resent” a replacement with DPD which also supposedly got lost, no explanation when I contacted pet planet they kept making false promises of it arriving to which it never did. I then got an email to review the order that I had never received which was just a kick in the teeth!Several emails later they finally replied and gave me my refund. I will NEVER order from this fraudulent company again and I would advise others not to either

I ordered a cat litter stray with top access - iris open top litter box - it is basically a bucket - my 2 year old cat would get stuck in it couldn’t get out (she is a very agile cat) also it is impossible to use a cat litter liner.

When I emailed and asked for a refund I was told as it had been used that wouldn’t be possible. When I phoned after this reply Kirsty told me it’s not suitable for litter liners - she doesn’t use litter liners in her litter tray 🥴 also whether the cat can get out or not does not make the item faulty - ah why didn’t I buy from Amazon - no wonder this company are getting so many one star reviews off late. So I have a plastic thing I can use as a bucket (all be it an expensive one) and lesson learned - I should have checked trustpilot before buying from this company!

Ordered a bag of dog food express delivery and received a bag of cat food! Now my dog has no food and it's not even a brand that's sold in shops so I can't go out and buy one! Absolutely fuming right now as I'm gonna have to temporarily change my dogs food and he's got a very sensitive stomach!

I have been ordering from Pet Planet for my cat's litter for a while and have always been satisfied......however now they have set up a new website and it CRAP!! Placed order took my money and didn't go through properly. They are having serious issues with it, not even answering their phones, when you ring there is a automated message telling you all about this problem. and they ask you to fill in the online form for a quick response which takes 48 hrs !! Not what I call quick. I am furious and feel like screaming at them because I need cat litter urgently, now have to buy from elsewhere and wait for refund. Odourlock which is best on the market is not easy to get, took me well over 1.1/2 hours to find it elsewhere. I have wrote them a stinking email and said I will not order from them again.

Something is off with Petplanet.co.uk.

I ordered in the past when we had pet rats and now we have ferrets I thought I'd trust pet planets reviews on the "Rat & Ferret Cage by PetPlanet".

Not only was this cage absolutely terrible and clearly designed in China by a blind person but to ask £199 for it is daylight robbery!

- The metal is terrible and SHARP in places.
-The ladders rarley stay in place, I have to cable tie them. Poor design.
-The short platforms are not stable at all and I woke one morning to a trapped ferret when it had fell down, same with the stupid bar lip around the platforms which feet get caught in - potential for broken legs!!
-The doors and locks are an absolute joke to say this is even "secure" I have to use a bungee cord on each platform to keep the doors closed.
There's much much more but this should suffice to make my point.

It is simply not fit for purpose and should be removed from sale under misrepresentation.

Following all this realisation after building the oddness start with a included A4 printed page about the company not accepting returns, which in the EU/UK US ILLEGAL for faulty or misrepresented products. Unfortunately we needed a suitable cage for our 3 new ferret babies so we stuck with the cage and moved on.

I then got an email to review the products I bought. I wrote a HONEST but negative review on this cage.... One week past then two and that review never displayed, having my own website I know behind the scenes reviews can be set to not display below X stars and it's disgusting practice if you do this.

Now after revisiting the site it seems like they've overhauled everything and no reviews or even my own account is available anymore... Which doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.

I won't trust this company again. Cage is now in storage until I figure out what to do with it.

Always a good, quick service from Petplanet. I received a free bag of dog food to trial as it is similar to the one I was purchasing but much cheaper. Would highly recommend.

I have been ordering from this company for the past few years and haven't had a problem. However while placing an order the website recommended something similar that was cheaper. I took on their recommendation and went ahead. But when delivered I put a bowl of the new kibble in the bowl and my dog will not touch it. Contacted then and got a response to provide previous order details, I provided what they wanted but have had no response. I am now left with an expensive bag of kibble that the dog won't eat, and furthermore have had to buy another bag of what I know she will eat. An expensive experience to say the least, but with no response I am left with no option. Will not order from Pet Planet again as their customer service is none existent the rep who made initial contact was a woman called Kirsty.

I think there may be a problem... the website has disappeared. I had a dog food subscription which I suspect won't be fulfilled.

This company has completely disappeared with over a hundred pounds of my money!!!
The website has vanished, the phone line is dead, they don’t respond to emails and I haven’t received my order!!

They are also knowingly posting false advertising posts on their Facebook account to try to mislead customers that they are still trading and everything is ok!! They have been reported for this as it is false advertising and against the law!! Especially if they have gone bust!!

My bank immediately started a chargeback yesterday morning to recover my money and have sent it over to their fraud team to investigate!!
Im glad because this company needs investigating for how they have behaved, they should at least have the decency to inform their customers and return the money you took from us knowing what was going to happen!!!!

My advice to anybody who has placed an order with Pet Planet is do not wait, contact your bank immediately and start recovering your money, do not be fooled by the Facebook and instagram posts, this is a stalling tactic to hold you off recovering and they have been reported for it to the relevant authorities!!

Unable to contact PetPlanet for the last 5 days. Website is down and telephone number doesn't connect. I suspect they have gone out of business.

Has this company gone bust? I can't access their website and the phone number given does not connect??

Have used Petplanet for some time now. Always a good range and good prices with quick delivery. Only ever had 1 issue with a delivery and the customer service received was absolutely outstanding.

I will continue to use and would highly recommend.

Have always received excellent service from Petplanet, and am happy to say that this time was no exception. My parcel was dispatched quickly, safely packed and arrived before expected delivery date.

Would have no hesitation purchasing from Petplanet again or recommending them
