Hi Simon,
At the time of booking, you declared your pallet as stackable. However, as visible in the photos you provided, the shipment was not stackable. A stackable pallet must be fully crated or packed in a way that allows another heavyweight consignment to be safely placed on top. This was not the case here.
Because the pallet was non-stackable, the carrier applied a £198 non-stackable surcharge. This is a fee charged to us by the carrier, not something we add ourselves. As outlined clearly in our Terms & Conditions, which you agreed to during checkout, any surcharge applied due to inaccurate shipment information must be passed on to the customer.
All details regarding stackable vs. non-stackable freight and potential surcharges are available in our service description, booking guidelines, and T&Cs, accessible before placing an order.
We remain transparent in all charges, and this extra fee was the direct result of the incorrect declaration at the booking stage.

THEY DIDNT BOOK THE COLLECTION, NOW NO REFUND
I booked 4 pallets to go to the Netherlands on a Thursday for a collection Friday. Used Kuehne + Nagel service through them. Called multiple times to confirm the collection and was told each time the driver was on the way. Phoned Kuehne + Nagel directly to be told there is no collection from our address. Pallet2Ship only admitted the no one is coming once I told them of of my call with K&N. This was at 4:30pm on a Friday and told they cant collect now until Monday. Do not use if shipment is urgent!
They claim in reply below its unguaranteed but I called multiple times on the day of booking and told each time they driver was on their way.
I requested a refund for this shipment on the 17th November, its now 10th December and it still hasn't been processed. Its stated as up to 10 working days for a refund to be processed and it still hasn't been processed.
I will never use this company again

We would like to clarify the circumstances of your booking.
Our standard groupage services are advertised as non-guaranteed, as multiple operational factors can occasionally affect collection times. The carrier missed the cut-off time on Friday, which meant a collection could not be attempted before the depot closed.
The booking was submitted to the carrier on Thursday with a request for next-day collection. We are not aware which depot provided the information you received, but your collection was scheduled correctly on our side, and this can be verified in our logs.
For time-critical shipments, a dedicated-vehicle quote is recommended, as groupage services cannot offer guaranteed collection or delivery times.
If further clarification is needed, our team remains available.

Couldn't recommend Pallet2Ship enough! After being let down on an urgent shipment needed from Spain to the UK, Dan E worked with me to arrange collection on a Friday, and the pallet we required was delivered to us Monday by 8:00AM!
Throughout the process, Dan kept me fully informed, guided me through the necessary paperwork, and was incredibly flexible in navigating the constant challenges we faced—even offering to stay late to make sure everything went smoothly.

Easy to book, collected and delivered on time with no delays. Customer service is on point, i have emailed to confirm if the driver is coming in to collect since it was 3pm and i have received a confirmation within 30 minutes that everything is ok and also a confirmation email when it was delivered
