Quick and Easy

I got a hire car from this company while mine was being repaired, they were quick to source a vehicle and even let me change to another one as i wasnt fully comfortable in the first vehicle provided. Good customer service.

Great seamless service

Great seamless service .

My car was hit when it was parked and unattended, from the moment I dealt with On Hire nothing was too much trouble. I off hired as I was going on holiday and as soon as I returned a new hire car was promptly delivered. Service has been fantastic and it has taken all of the stress and worry out of the situation. The hire cars I have been provided with have been great , clean and lovely to drive. Great company and would highly recommend anyone who is unfortunate to be involved in an accident to use On Hire.

Great from start to finish

Someone hit my car whilst I was parked up and OnHire were recommended to me. From start to finish they were great, everyone I spoke to were very nice and helpful. I was put into a hire car straight away and my car was directed to an repairer (Gillibrand ARC) whose workmanship was second to none.

I had my Skoda damaged in a Lidl car…

I had my Skoda damaged in a Lidl car park, no witness only my wife in the car when the driver of the vehicle who bumped me drove off, i called Winn's as they deal with none fault claims and they assist very professionally liaising with Lidl and obtaining CCTV footage and tracking down the vehicle that caused the damage to my car, from there on the claim went very quick and at no costs to me, a hire car also provided which was brilliant, great communication also and repaired perfectly by the garage they sent me to Gillibrand in Blackburn, overall extremely happy

Five Star Service

Excellent service provided, they arranged a replacement vehicle for me, dealt with my repairs and had my car delivered back to me and the replacement vehicle collected once everything was finished. The standard of repair was 1st class, would highly recommend.

Fraudulent Company alongside Winn Solicitors! I cry every day! They forced me to take a hire, promised I will not pay and for a standard bmw 320 they charged £400 (plus additional charges) per day. The hire cost for under a month was £15,000. Third party won’t pay and now they taking the money from me. I have now lost my house, and I’m going through a divorce because of Winn and On Hire. Please don’t make the same mistake I made by using Winn Solicitors.

🚨 Caught in a Credit Hire Trap – My Experience with OnHire 🚨

I never thought I’d be writing this, but my experience with OnHire has been a nightmare. I hope sharing my story helps others avoid the same trap.

📌 What Happened?
• In May 2024, after a non-fault accident, my insurer referred me to Winn Solicitors, who arranged a replacement vehicle through OnHire.
• I was never told that this was a credit hire agreement or that I could be personally liable for the costs.
• Later, I found out that a contract had been signed in my name—without my knowledge or consent! 🚨
• The actual rental cost from Enterprise was £900 for 14 days, but OnHire billed the third-party insurer over £9,000 under a credit hire claim!
• The forged documents in my name showed an 80-day rental at over £400 per day, even though I never agreed to it!

⚠️ What They Didn’t Tell Me:
1️⃣ The rental charges are extremely high, much more than standard rental companies.
2️⃣ If the third-party insurer refuses to pay, I could be personally liable for thousands of pounds!
3️⃣ I never agreed to any contract, but my name and signature appeared on multiple agreements.

We're sorry to read your negative comments and hope to clarify them.

We want to make you aware that all the costs that are incurred on the client's behalf will be recovered back by us. We then look to take out a no win, no fee agreement which would cover us and yourself as the client, for our costs if our claim does not win. However, there must be no breach of the agreements, which would only be caused by the client, e.g., non-cooperation or fraud.

Documents would never be forged by us. We read you a legal script on the first initial call you had with us, which you agreed to verbally. if you hadn't agreed to this, our services would not have gone ahead.

Insurance rates apply on every claim that we deal with. As you are not utilising your policy, this means they will be typically higher.

Lastly, every hire agreement covers you for up to 80 days. Sometimes, hire periods can be as long as this, but this doesn't mean we are recovering back 80 days of hire as this would be fraudulent and not how our company operates.

On hire never use

What can I say about this fraudulent company
along with Winn solicitors. I phoned up marshmallow insurance company after a accident which was 100% the other parties admitted liability and someone told me I must hire a car or I will lose my option to hire one later they kept putting me on to different people. As I was no well at that time going through chemo I wasn’t 100% but they just kept talking. They said i signed a contract with them. But signature on the contract was not mine. This happened all within a couple of hours after the accident so they say. Stephen gold. You can look anything up from my name

To make you aware, none of our clients are ever required or forced to take a hire car unless it's necessary. We look to ensure that our clients experience no disruption following their accident and that they are able to drive a like-for-like vehicle.

It's important to note that if hire is accepted later in the claims process, it can be more challenging to provide a hire car, as it may indicate that you've managed without one, which can lower the likelihood of our recovery process. However, there are some mitigating factors which we can discuss with you if you wish

Additionally, these agreements are only accessible to you and us, so we’re unclear about who else could have signed them.

They work with Winns Solicitors to intimidate and commit fraud. They are sueing me for 50k for a month's car hire I never had. I can't wait for court and a fraud team to close these people down. You want a war, well one its coming!. By the looks of these reviews, I'm not the only one you are committing fraud. I have downloaded these reviews as part of my defence.

Are you having a laugh. Partner admitted a slight accident with a neighbours vehicle who may I add parked outside my house when he had off road parking facilities (I'm sure his policy doesn't state on street parking overnight when purchasing) he had a courtesy car from you less than 4 weeks and cost was 7.3k ? Are you delusional. Repair was 4.5k it was a broken reg plate and grill nothing else car was in fine working order otherwise quote he had was 1.4k but we proceeded through insurance now being taken to court for 15k through sister company Winn Solicitors. No insurance would pay out that in their right mind . Frauds through and through you should be ashamed of yourselves. This is going to Martin Lewis , Daily Mail and whoever I can write to. His car isn't even worth that much . Four weeks to repair a license plate that needed screwing back on a grill . Get Fxxked you're worse robbers than Keir. Oh and your dates are totally wrong on day of incident

The Sister Company to WINN

The Sister Company to WINN, complete Ambulance chasers!!!! Where to start, please read other comments, I wish I had! How low can a company be, to have a staff member google where you are, and 'assume' the hospital close to you is where you attend for your medical condition. when most Doctors have never heard of my condition. The bodywork company they initally chose had to be changed as they wouldn't return the vehicle to me......Odd how I, being disabled, couldn't get a call back from them or one of thier sister companies to arrange if the hire car could be returned at a different branch at no cost!!!!!

Didn't have a clue what was going on, everytime they called to update me, I was updating them!!!!

Still awaiting refund of the reinburstment of cost I was out to pick up my vehicle, also callbacks and copies of emails that were apprantly sent to me!!!

This includes those who have suffered personal injury as a result of an accident. We always aim to arrange a like-for-like hire vehicle but this is entirely dependent on availability. You have a specialist vehicle and a like-for-like replacement was difficult to source. We did ask you questions about your vehicle usage to try to identify the most suitable vehicle for you (for example, to get you to medical appointments).

You were given an Audi Q3 which was then swapped for a BMW X1. You were also offered an Audi A5, a BMW 5 series and a Volvo XC40. We did consider changing the repairing garage to try and speed things up for you. Ultimately this was not necessary and your vehicle was repaired.

We spoke with you multiple times over the telephone. The repairing garage was happy to deliver your vehicle back to you. Alternatively, we said you could drive to the garage in the hire car, collect your vehicle and leave the hire car there. You did not do either.

Sorry, Sorry, Sorry this is their answer every day, those excuses don't help me at all being a taxi driver I don't recommend them , they transfer you from one operator to another and most of time the phone hangs up..
More than 10 days since the date of the incident and still I don't have replacement car...
Don't try to win only from simple cases, get out of your comfort zone a little and find alternatives.. I hope you use the internet there?
20 years ago when MR JEFF founded the company he didn't have so many options and look how far he has come.. I don't need any other excuses as answer , the facts thank us..

Avoid at all costs, dishonest and Legally trap

The Reviews are all 1 start so I wonder how they got the rating of 2.8??
I have been referred to On-Hire by Winn Solicitors who I referred to by Car Accident Helpline Who I called by mistake thinking they were my insurance.
The On-Hire rep. on the phone was telling me the terms and conditions, and how I should look after the car and he was talking too much and since I was just out of the accident he was taking advantage of that. After too much reading and I was not feeling well, I said “I DO NOT WANT THE COURTESY CAR”, he said what? Let me refer you to another person. The other person started talking me out of it, It is “FREE OF CHARGE”, “YOU WILL NOT PAY ANYTHING”, “THE 3RD PARTY INSURANCE WILL PAY FOR EVERYTHING”. If you refuse to take it now and then in a week you find yourself you need a car we will not be able to provide you with one as we cannot justify to the insurance why you rejected it in the beginning and why you want it now. What happened if you had an emergency, we are taking your car and it will take a time to repair it, what would you do if you needed a car, “JUST TAKE THE COURTESY CAR AND PARK IT INFRONT OF THE HOUSE AND DO NOT DRIVE IT JUST IN CASE OF EMERGENCY”, and it will not cost you anything. So I said OKAY, who would reject a courtesy car and “FREE”
So, he put me back to the first guy I was talking to. The guy from On-Hire who was talking to me about the courtesy car neglected to mention it is a “Hire Car” NOT a Courtesy car, which is completely different as the Courtesy Car is Free of Charge while the HIRE CAR would cost me thousands of pounds. How is that charged:
“CREDIT HIRE (1) RENTAL AGREEMENT” and how it charges:
No of days:- 80
Charge per day (Exclusive of VAT):- £200.00
Collision Damage Waiver per day (Inclusive of VAT @ 20%):- £24.00
Glass, Tyre and Lights Protection per day (Inclusive of VAT @ 20%) £25.20
Which is total of £23200 (more than the cost of my car by £8000) for the 80 days, not mentioning the cost of the car recover, storage and repair.
The 3rd party insurance took my car, repaired it, provided me with a courtesy car and all the documents are under their name. ON-HIRE documents have my name only on the documents, even though they say the 3rd party insurance will pay for everything and THEY KNOW THE NAME OF THE 3rd PARTY INSURANCE but they did not put them on the documents. If WINN SOLICITORS lost the case (even though I am not at fault)or the 3rd party insurance REFUSED TO PAY, THEN I HAVE TO PAY THIS REDICULOUS MONEY. No one had the honesty to say that, but their documents said that. They were hoping I WOULD TAKE THEIR WORD AND WOULD NOT READ THE DOCUMENTS but I did. I called the WINN solicitors rep. (Because I received the documents from them) but they said it is just standard documents and nothing to worry about. But I declined the documents and did not use their service. NOW, I read the reviews of other clients on TRUSTPILOT and I am thankful I did not fall for their LEGAL TRAP.
Even though they are legally operating but they are really dishonest in their work.
