My direct deposit was being deposit in my account with no problem for the last 5 years paid two days in advance. Now last 2 months the deposit scheduled the day of and after my pay date, they said they put in tickets to resolve the issue but there haven't been no changes. I have not received any updates, the employees never let me speak to manager. This is the worst bank i have ever dealt with and I'm going to change to credit union. Honesty, I think they want to collect overdraft fees.

I was disappointed I couldn’t get the account I wanted (I paid for negative info to be removed from Checksystem but it may still be on). I was very happy to be offered and approved for another checking account as well as a savings account. I also love all the tools education and support. Thank you!

I was extremely satisfied with the service that was provided me throughout my relationship with OneUnited Bank. Dannie sold me several CD’s before and had given her number to call if I ever need assistance. A few years later, my identity was stolen. I called Dannie and she assisted me in securing my accounts. Any time I have needed her help, she has been there, like my own personal banker. I highly recommend OneUnited Bank to anyone who quality service is important to them.

I love one united. They protect my money and call as soon as they see a purchase is out of my Norm! I love that it’s a black owned bank and any issue if I have one is resolved.

They denied so i was unable to open account but before denying me they charged my BANK the minimum Deposit. I received email from one united bank stating my funds would be released back to my bank account on November 15 2024 because I was denied opening an bank account November 22,2024 they STILL HAVE A HOLD ON MY FUNDS I HATE THIS BANK AND IM GOING TO HIGHER AN ATTORNEY TO SUE THEM ITS NOT RIGHT TO KEEP MY MONEY!!!

I am very pleased (warranting 5 stars) with the customer representative who provided the information I needed, refunded two service/maintenance fees, and upgraded my account from a fee-based version to free checking. Her assistance was excellent and deserving of high praise.
However, I am entirely displeased (warranting 1 star) that I had to call in to obtain this update in the first place. This reveals that OUB is far less transparent than I initially believed. To discover I have been charged fees for months—possibly over a year—only to be refunded for two of those fees is deeply frustrating. The remaining nine months' worth of charges were unjustly taken from me, all because of a simple shift from one type of checking account to another.
In today's fast-paced, cutthroat world, where it feels like everyone is preying on the small guy, it is profoundly disheartening to realize I placed my trust in a Black-owned business, only to be treated just as poorly as I might have been with white-owned institutions. That betrayal of trust leaves a bitter taste, and if possible, would warrant less than one star.
