Horrible policies/customer service
Horrible policies/customer service. Called to cancel order 2 hours after placing it and was told it was already 'in process', not cancelable, but could be returned once received. It didn't ship for another 4 days anyway. Customer service won't allow returns until the vendor approves it? Item was purchased from Office Max, not a third party. There is no number for their resolution center available and promised call backs from supervisors, etc. were never received (0/3). So, I'm stuck with 200usd of electronics I can't use from a company that sells things on their website from other vendors without notice for the customer, won't honor their sales or communicate with their customers. I'd steer clear unless you want paper or pens or something simple, inexpensive and without need for any possible customer service.
Third time i have went to office depot…
Third time i have went to office depot in 4 days and left with nothing. Today went in to get a binder 11×17 they didnt have it...said they could order it be here overnight...which became Thursday. I paid for it, now got an email stating the order was cancelled...which I already paid for! Chat line said this happens sometime!

They sent my order to the wrong state! Then they refused a refund! I called my credit card company. As I did not get the mercy, I got my money back! But Office Depot was no help! DO NOT USE OFFICE DEPOT! Go to Amazon instead!
Filing cabinet ordered not received after 12 days…
I ordered a filing cabinet on 5/16/23 was promised a delivery date of 5/25/23. I also received a phone call about 4 days before the 25th asking if someone was going to be home. I waited all day and received nothing. I was told via text that I would receive it for sure on the 25th. I called customer support and was told I would receive a call within 24-48 hours and that my order was escalated. I called back today at 9:30 5/27 and still nothing I then requested a refund. I was told 3 to 7 days for a refund.
Don’t Waste Your Time
In early May I purchased a desk and hutch; at least that was my intention. The hutch was delivered, but the desk was on back order. I was not told this until they missed the delivery date. Of course, I canceled the order. After multiple trips to the local Office Depot store and phone calls to their customer service dept, I have received a partial but not a full refund. The store manager, in all fairness, apologized and did his best to fix my problem. The organization needs some serious changes if they expect to survive. I hope to never do business with Office Depot again.

Pésimo servicio, me mandaron incompleto el pedido, la chica que me atendió súper grosera me dijo que era mi problema, afortunadamente tengo la costumbre de grabar un video mientras abro los paquetes, se los mande, tardaron mes y medio en volver a comunicarse, solo para decirme que habían cerrado mi reclamo porque según ellos si se había surtido, aun tendiendo yo la evidencia de que no era así, después de decirles que eran unos ladrones y los expondría se volvieron a comunicar conmigo, se disculparon y empezaron con el proceso de reembolso, un mes después me escriben para pedirme mi estado de cuenta bancario, para efectuar el reembolso, lo cual en mi opinión es un abuso, pues mis ingresos y gastos no son cosa que a ellos les importe, bastaba con el número de cuenta, en su razonamiento eso no es posible por lo que al final no me devolvieron el dinero, si quieren evitar esos contratiempos no compren en línea, no están preparados para ese tipo de servicios.

Tuscaloosa Alabama store experience
Hi there. I was in Tuscaloosa last week and visited the Office Depot store. I had prints to be made.
A very nice lady, new to the Copy & Print department was great! She deserves 5 stars! Her name started with an A. However, the older lady, starting with letter R, had ZERO TACT. Her customer service and apparent teamwork skills was difficult to experience. “A” (because we aren’t allowed to give name) was very cheerful, helpful, and professional. She was alert and listened. She gave me advice and helped with my needs. The ship started sinking when the older lady in print started giving her input. When the other lady asked her questions, she treated her like garbage. She couldn’t have been frowning harder. She ignored the both of us when asking for her help with my order. All I wanted was a collection of prints. Then suddenly the older employee blurted out something very odd and harsh. I can’t remember what this lady said because it startled me. Please have this lady “R” looked after. TACT goes far and despite the sweet one that helped, the older lady unfortunately could learn better customer service and professionalism. When you visit a store and an employee isn’t happy to be there, you know it and feel it! If it hasn’t of been for the sweet and helpful one, I would give this store a 1-star. Get more of the one that said she’s new because obviously the older one is burned out or angry at the world. She was also very rude to the lady she works with. I don’t see how anyone could work with her and from a customer view, I hope Office Depot sees how poor customer service can dominant an experience.

Excellent Customer Service
Purchased a PC chair and couldn't get the tilt of the chair to work. Took it in to the Office Max on Franklin in Boise, Idaho. Ariel was so professional and kind. Fixed it right up.

Worst sellotape I've ever experienced. Be careful... a good day could easily turn bad after a few attempts at using their sellotape.
Office Depot just lost an account
Our company has been a long time customer of Office Depot but no more. We had a delivery today of 5 cases of copy paper. Our office is on the second floor with an exterior staircase, and the driver left everything outdoors at the bottom of the stairs without notifying us that it had been delivered. I realize that a heavy box of copy paper is not the easiest thing to steal but still - if another employee hadn't been coming in to the office, it could have sat there for hours before we realized it was outside. The employee who placed the order called Office Max to register a complaint, and the response was "so what do you want me to do?" Our employee said "we want the driver to come back and bring it upstairs". And the response was "here's his phone number. Call him." Worst customer service experience ever...they have definitely lost our account.

I ordered one copy for tabloid paper to make a VHS Cover because my printer doesn't print in tabloid, cheapercopies used to do it, but they don't have cardstock tabloid anymore. Unless your buying tens to hundreds of copies of the same thing for more money, that is unfortunately, the only way to do it. So I tried office depot because they just barely got Tabloid cardstock. They canceled my order even though I had money in my card and they accepted it, they JUST CANCEL THE ORDER EVERYTIME!! I recommend to STAY AWAY from this company. If you want to do tabloid prints is I guess to buy an Officejet used. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

I brought in 134 4x6" recipe cards I needed copied front and back, I needed two copies of each card on thick card stock. What I got back was 130 with at least ten that were just duplicates of the same cards, with a couple of cards having the wrong card copied on the back. They were all much smaller than the 4x6" cards I had requested. In short I am now out $128 for the worst copy job I have ever seen, which took over a month to get back, and I have to find another place to get these copied. Horrible, horrible, horrible!! I will not be using your services again
No more deliveries!
First off I accidentally ordered two of the file cabinet I wanted. I ran into issues with the website and thought the order might have been placed so I called to check. I was told there was no order. So I ordered it. I ended up with two orders. I went through the customer chat because the phone line was a wait of 30 minutes. I was told I would have to take delivery of the second one and then return it which seemed very stupid but they could not stop the delivery which was still several days out. I will not return the second one because that delivery truck will never come down my driveway again. They almost backed into a 20 year old Japanese maple. And they laughed at me for running out of the house screaming stop. I had to move my vehicle so they could get back out again and in the process (moving forward) scraped the side of the tree anyway. We have had several deliveries lately because we are remodling and no delivery (including the tractor trailer) came close to that tree. Now I am out money for a second file cabinet I don't need but don't dare return.

Office Depot treat there parttime warehouse employees like they are not part of the team if you miss one day it’s one point if your late it’s a half point you will need to work three months (90 days ) to remove the points if you get to 8 points you will be terminate. I have work with the company 1 yrs and 4 months once I got to a year I received 8 hrs pto after an year you get 6 days . And the turnover rate for the morning crew 4-8 turnovers rate is high the little time I been here it have been 5 people that come and went and some of the workers that’s been there is lazy

Office Depot is the worst Company I have ever bought from. Their Customer Service is horrible as well. I purchased items in December which has a 2 two delivery. The items never came after 5 days so I canceled the order and bought what I needed from a better Company. Low and behold I was then charged for the items that were never delivered. I called Customer Service and was told I would be related 3 to 5 business days later. That day came and went and I was never rebated. Fou days later my neighbor said my items were delivered at their house. But remember I canceled those items more than 10 days prior. I return the items to the store and are now being told they can't take them because they don't carry them in store. And was told to call customer service again. Ridiculous and Horrible Customer Service and Company
BUYERS BEWARE!
Ordered an item and after MANY attempts to contact them regarding an item that was shipped defective, they would allow me to return it. BUYER BEWARE!
