Teck service at the Alcoa
Teck service at the Alcoa, TN store was the best from any store I've been to that worked with me present while transferring my data from a device with 2 accounts that required separation. Blake assisted me with getting my email, plus a recovery email, McAfee, how to export photographs without losing any. He took the time to ensure when I left there with my computer everything I required was set up ready to use. I'm an elderly woman and not computer literate and the service was outstanding from one of your outstanding employees.
Order not even shipped
I ordered an accessory for my Microsoft Surface that I need for a class. Office Depot sent an email a day after I ordered it stating it was shipped. It was not shipped, in the tracking information it was only "Label Created". It is now 10 days after I placed my order and they are telling me that I will get information on my order next week. Not even saying where my order is or when I might get it?!! Again, I need it for a class. So I may need to buy it from somewhere else, but I need my money back. They need to follow up with their vendors. And "label created" does NOT mean something shipped. Super frustrated.
Office Depot In-Store Customer Service Sucks
I went to return an Office Depot Brand price labeling gun. I was told that I needed to have the original package because it had a serial number on it that had to match the original receipt. Complete lie, Then I was told it was out of the return period. Again, a lie. According to the Office Depot website Office Depot branded products may be returned at any time. I was told in no uncertain terms that I could not return or exchange. When I went back the next day and attempted to show the Assistant Manager. Neither the Manager nor the Assistant Manager would listen to me. I was able to finally find a reasonable assistant manager at the OfficeMax who exchanged it. But also kept the new ink roller and almost full labels.
Office Depot Medford.
I placed an online order for a chair to be picked up in-store, but the store canceled my order and offered me a display chair instead. When I arrived to pick it up, the chair seemed to be fine. However, once I got it home, I discovered that the bottom was broken and had been taped and glued to hide the damage.
I called the store to report the issue, but they essentially told me it was not their responsibility and that I needed to resolve it myself. Selling a broken chair and trying to conceal the damage with glue and tape is misleading and unacceptable. While I usually have a good opinion of Office Depot, this particular store has been disappointing. For the sake of a few dollars, they tarnished their longstanding reputation.
Trouble getting refund after misdelivery
I placed an online order with Office Depot and the order did not arrive. I chatted the first time and was told the order would be replaced. A few days later I received and email from Veyer, their delivery provider, stating that the replacement was cancelled bc they had proof of delivery, and they shared a photo of an address that is not mine. I followed up with a second chat and was promised a refund would be issued. A few days later, I received an email from Office Depot saying the credit was cancelled because there had been a succesful delivery. Meantime, they had placed a hold for a new order on my credit card in spite of my telling them I did not want to place a new order. I think there was a third chat in there somewhere. Just got off the phone with a promise to resolve, so we'll see. But a lot of my time wasted on this already.
Bad quality on the Shaquille O'Neal Executive chair combined with worst Protection Plan.
Bought the chair for $569.99 and the warranty for 69.99 total cost with tax $681.58. Made a claim to Allstate twice. 1st was denied because as they said I didn't bought enough warranty (The one I got covered from $300 to $799.99. The chair price was $569.99), they asked me to resubmit when I brought prove that the warranty I bought was more than enough. Then was denied because "loss of resiliency" is not covered and sent me to read the contract.
Will never get another one of the Shaquille O'Neal's chairs nor the worthless extended warranty.

NEVER order for delivery with them
NEVER order for delivery with them. They use a random 7th party delivery service that no one has heard of. You cannot add delivery instructions for gate codes on the carriers page. They will "Attempt" to deliver and mark it not deliverable. When I finally was able to contact the delivery service provider, they could not even let me know when the package would be delivered, maybe in 6 months is about as good of an answer as I could get.
Not a good experience. You have to first call Office Depot customer service THEN they have you call the carrier who could care less about your experience. The problem is I really needed the item that day so now I have to go out and buy another one (not from office depot) and hope that this one arrives in a timely enough manner that I can return it. Pure waste of time and money. When talking to customer service at Office Depot you could tell they could care less about you and your patronage.
Refuse to pick up damaged good
ordered a new file cabinet for my new office on Dec. 31. It was to deliver on Jan 02. At 9:00am tracking said it was delivered at 5:52AM & "left in a safe place". A chat was started to find out where "a safe place was" & who signed for it. After a lengthy chat, the agent said Office Depot's carrier Veyer said it was "lost". A credit would be issued & I ordered a new one. At 1:15 that afternoon it was delivered, but damaged & completely useless. Now a lengthy phone call later, the new one would be delivered on Tue 7th & bad one picked up. Lengthy phone call on Wed. New one was awaiting approval, then on hold, then on backorder. When a confirmation of cancel wasn't sent, another call, it's not on backorder. It's delivering next day. Tracking said "out for delivery" for two days. Next week, they refused to cancel & it would deliver Tue. Tuesday, yes it's on it's way. Later that day, no it won't deliver, it's in transit to them. The next day they will cancel but will take ***** hours. It delivered that afternoon, but no arrangements to pick up the damaged one. The return has been since scheduled several times & each time, no show & no call after having to give them from 8:30am to 5pm to show up. It was scheduled to be picked up on the 30th again. The driver showed up at the front office on the 29th. She was directed to the opposite side of the building. She drove off, left. Now they say they will pick up on the 30th, if not they will pick up on the 31st between8:30am to 5pm. Until they get it back, no credit for it. Numerous times they said they did an ******************** would call me in ***** hours to get it resolved. They never called & I found out that's because there were No escalations done. Now they hang up on me or keep me on hold. We still haven't gotten a credit.

Do not order from them
Do not order from them. I ordered a camera. My credit card was charged and on their site it said my item was shipped the next day. 3 weeks later was fighting with representatives ( all outsourced to foreign countries) to get my money back. Finally a supervisor was able to See the item never shipped. I asked why it was so hard to find this out ( was on phone 30 min), she admitted it was a drop ship item and they had to contact the actual seller! She wanted me to wait for another Camera to ship, I was firm I wanted my money back, after about 5 minutes of arguing with her she relented and credited back my charge card. Do not do business with them. I assumed wrong that Office Depot was a huge reputable company!

I love Office Depot in Woodhaven Michigan. Recently went in to take care of some faxing for retirement. I’m not familiar with faxing but the manager Robert was very helpful. Instead of doing it for me he sowed me step by step how to work the machine and payment method so I would know how next time I had to send a fax. This is my favorite Office Depot. Thanks

I ordered 10 packages of copy/printer…
I ordered 10 packages of copy/printer paper. Expected delivery date was 12/3/2024. Today it is 12/21/2024 and still no package delivered. Tracking shows it still "in transit". Credit card was charged on 12/3/2024.
Kudos to Brittany
My wife and I had just bought a Christmas present for the widow of my best friend, and we were anxious to get it to her before Christmas. We walked into the FedEx drop point in Office Depot at Arnold Commons and explained the situation to Brittany. We didn't have a box or cushion wrap or tape or anything except the gift to be sent, and Brittany was very helpful to point out where we could find these things in the store. She also helped us to select a shipping method which would get our gift there on time for the holiday. Brittany was very professional and polite as well. Thanks to her, I will be going back to Office Depot for my future shipping needs.
Very disappointed in their customer…
Very disappointed in their customer service. Was misled by store that laminated poster would have a 2 day turn around and delivered to the store. This was not true. It took almost a week and was delivered to home, a day later than expected because UPS incorrectly re-routed it to a neighboring State. The poster had a few wrinkles and I asked for some reimbursement for all the challenges and customer service refused to issue credit on the credit card used. I asked a number of times for credit on the card and they insist it is a store/online e-credit.
On-line order of file cabinet at Office Depot
I ordered a two drawer file cabinet from Office Depot/OfficeMax for my elderly mother online about four months ago. It was delivered to her complex in a timely manner, but the driver did not take it to the apartment; he left it in the common area and the unit was stored somewhere by an employee of the complex. When I called OfficeMax/Office Depot, they reported it delivered, but I told them we never received it, so they cancelled it and refunded my money. The people in customer service were actually quite nice. The refund was reversed about a week later, as I saw it reappear on my credit card, but no one had called or emailed to explain. This happened almost identically once more, where I got credit from a customer service supervisor this time, but it was reversed. About this time the building staff where my mother lives notified us they had found the file cabinet stashed away, and would leave it in the main reception area to be picked up. I called and the Office Depot folks again, and they were very nice, but the cabinet was not picked up and the credit was once again reversed. No one emailed or called to explain. I have tried again today to try to have them pick it up, to be picked up Monday, 12-23, so I have my doubts this will happen. The people in customer service at Office Depot/OfficeMax were once again very nice and understanding, but their online system is not the best, and a few of their people even expressed to me that they had issues with their online systems at times. So in conclusion, I would say the 800 number customer service people are very nice, but their system is not well designed and the customer service people do not seem to be able to control anything. People at upper levels in the organization seem to override them on everything they do, and there is no communication. I think store purchases at Office Depot/OfficeMax are fine, but the organization is not well prepared for on-line orders. 403430817-001
