Trustworthy and Professional service

This was my first experience using a loss assessor for an insurance claim, and James from Oakleafe was outstanding from start to finish.
The entire process was handled with complete transparency, and James treated the claim as if it were his own. He kept us informed at every stage and managed communications with the insurer far better than I could have on my own.
I highly recommend Oakleafe, and in particular James, to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable insurance assessor.

They were brilliant!

Poor communication

While I am pleased that most reviewers seem to have had a positive experience with the company overall, our experience was the opposite. Lengthy delays and poor communication were a major problem and we ended up putting in a formal complaint which was rejected by Oakleafe but upheld by the Financial Services Ombudsman.

A search of the reports on the Ombudsman's website shows that our experience was not unique, with 7 complaints in the last 2 years and all but one upheld.

Outstanding Service

I knew there was a going to be a huge battle on my hands with our insurance company, but Oakleaf brought a instant sense of hope from the get go, from the first initial enquiry we had an assessment on the same day as enquiring which put faith in the process. Unfortunately we had a very difficult loss adjuster which kept delaying this claim. Although our first loss assessor was helpful, it wasn’t until Cameron came onto this claim I felt the assurances as his communication was always on point and had a punch in his ethic which gave us a lot of confidence because he never came across stuck, and even at times I know it was difficult he always had an answer and a plan of action in how to address the situation. This claim was a huge victory as there was no way on earth we would of had this payout if it wasn’t for the ethic of Cameron, he had the amazing negotiating skills in setting this claim and helping us get the bang for our buck, and thankfully now after 2 years of hell from our insurance and the help of Oakleaf claims we can move on with our life’s. Oakleaf would come highly recommended and I wouldn’t advice anyone to attempt to deal their insurance claim it without the help of Oakleaf because they focus on making sure you get the settlement you deserve.

Oakleafe Claims Review Midlands – Escape of Water Insurance Claim

My experience with Oakleafe Claims spanned around 14–15 months following a significant escape of water incident that caused major damage to my property and business. I can honestly say that working with them made a huge difference to the outcome of my claim.

Ray was an absolute delight to deal with—reliable, professional, and always made an effort to stay in touch. I could reach him around 90% of the time, and on the rare occasion I couldn’t, he’d always get back to me promptly. He helped guide me through the Business Interruption side of things and was incredibly supportive throughout the process.

James handled the stock damage portion of my claim and went above and beyond to ensure I received the best possible outcome. What stood out to me was how understanding he was about the emotional impact the whole situation had on me—he wasn’t just focused on the numbers, he actually cared.

The final settlement I received was better than I’d even hoped for. Honestly, had I gone it alone, I might’ve received 20% of what Oakleafe ultimately secured for me. I now recommend that everyone dealing with a significant insurance claim uses a loss assessor—it completely changed the trajectory of my claim for the better.

That said, a few considerations:

Communication could be slow and inconsistent at times, which I believe is down to how overworked the team is. Ray and James both seemed to be juggling a lot of cases, and while they remained pleasant and professional, I do think the company as a whole needs to bring in more support to match the workload. It would have made the experience smoother.

Payment delays after settlement were frustrating. Once Oakleafe received the settlement from my insurer, it took longer than expected for the funds to be passed to me. While I did eventually get everything I was owed, it required some patience.

In short: if you're going through a complex insurance claim, these are the guys to call. Be patient, trust the process, and know that you're in good hands. Just be aware that they may be stretched thin, so stay proactive in following up when needed.

I'm grateful for the outcome and the support I received—and I genuinely believe Oakleafe made the difference between a disappointing payout and a fair, successful resolution.

Our amazing experience

We just want to give a huge thank you to Cameron and his team for everything they've done for us. From the start, Cameron has been nothing but kind, patient, and understanding. No matter how many times we came to him for help or how stressed we were, he always listened with care and treated us with respect. He made us feel heard, supported and never once made us feel like we were asking too much. His calm and friendly attitude made a big difference, especially during such a difficult time.
