Superb product, (steak press) but even better people.

Have had a frying panic for a few years now and it's used several times a week. Great on a gas hob and can go straight in the oven . (Recently crisped up pork crackling on the hob then straight in the oven with the roast potatoes. Perfectly cooked). When looked after correctly they work a dream. No washing up liquid please!! So good I bought my kids one each when they got their own homes. Great British product!!

Love this company so much. I live in France and whilst our baguettes are great, I miss a good old sandwich loaf. Nigella's recipe in their loaf tin is perfection every single time. Great customer service as well

Excellent service from start to delivery. The order process was smooth and personable and delivery was efficient and within set timeframe and the pans are absolutely amazing!!! I love them so much.

Love this company and their products! We use the baking sheet, loaf tin and the griddle (the only thing that will evely heat on our badly designed induction hob) almost daily.

These product will work hard for you if you treat them right!

Ps: the cloche is the prettiest thing in my house.

And I was prompted to write because If you buy professional equipment you need to look after it. You will get an amazing non-stick surface if you repeatedly season after you use. Do not put them in a dishwasher or use soap… the oil recreates a surface. Ask any street food seller using a wok! It’s a bit like you wouldn’t put a Kin knife in the dishwasher !!!!

I have a prospector pan and as a keen cook its my favourite to use. From hob to oven, low cook or high heat , and lightweight so much easier to handle than some others.

Yes they do need treating in a specific way.. and they age and look 'different' over time but I suspect that many of the negative reviews are due to misunderstanding of how to use/clean rather than a product fault. Mine is three years old and still cooks the best non stick eggs for a good breakfast fry up and is the best when I treat myself to a good thick steak (bone in etc) for a good sear and oven finish.

One day when I have my country kitchen I'll have a whole set (I'm desperate to get the bread cloche!)

My order was for a crepe pan which arrived quickly and very well wrapped. All my interactions with Netherton Foundry have been friendly and helpful with my questions answered constructively.
Highly recommended.

I bought my pan with some birthday cash (I was 50!)
I'm now approaching 56 and it's as good as new and always so satisfying to use(I enjoy history and the local Ironbridge connection pleases me)
A quick wash and wipe(totally dry), it's ready for next use and oven usable.
The company is always helpful and friendly and has a great Twitter presence.

These guys are the mac daddies of the cookware world. While I don't know what mac daddy means, I know they're exceptional both in creating the most incredibly good stuff to cook with - and in delivering exceptional customer service.

Don't just take my word for it. Talk to some of the people who are expert in making delicious food. You can't swing a cat for big-name cooks who swear by Netherton Foundry.

If I had a bigger kitchen I'd buy more. If I was stronger, I'd use two of their pans at once.

In an age where we typically buy cheap, and multiple times, it makes total sense to buy well - and these guys are the embodiment of the buy smart, buy once approach to stocking your kitchen with the best at an acceptable price.

I am stunned that people are leaving such negative reviews, are they sure their pans are from this company?!!!! I have loved them for years, starting with a crepe pan, we have several others in our collection including a wonderful outdoor slow cooker too. Their pans are beautifully made, cook food brilliantly and last for YEARS.

I had several questions about the slow cooker before I bought it, all were answered quickly and with lots of information. They are also proactive on social media too so easy to ask questions and get an almost instant reponse there too.

Website has lots of info on reseasoning the pans in order to keep them in top condition which was really useful.

Highly recommend and look forward to buying my next purchase from them (a loaf tin I have had my eye on for a while).

I was bought a Prospector Pan as a Christmas present 5 years ago. I was not experienced at caring for cast iron pans before but the instructions made it clear of what to do and I bought some of the flaxseed oil. The seasoning process was simple. It produces excellent results and is a regular feature on the dinner table, straight from the oven. I re-season regularly, which is so straightforward. If you look after this pan it will look after you.

Netherton Foundry produce the most amazing quality cookware.
As keen cook and former cookery teacher I have used a lot of different pans and pie dishes in my time and my Netherton Foundry prospector pans and pie dish are the very best I have ever used. I cannot imagine ever buying from another supplier again. The prospector pans especially are not heavy and so much easier to keep clean than Le Creuset, for example, and you don’t need fancy silicone utensils as you do with non-stick ranges. Several purchases now made both for myself and for gifts.

I have a couple of prospector pans and I love them.

Great looking and can be used in a barbecue, oven or stovetop.

You do need to season them well and clean properly but that is part of the process. These are not the pans to get if you want to stick them in the dishwasher.

Received a nice-looking iron pan as a gift. After one use it turned quite ugly. Netherton told me to "re-season" it. I did that. After second use, it turned much more ugly (hideous really). Netherton has ignored my subsequent emails.

I'd stay far far away from this company. You'd think after all these years they could have figured out how to make iron pans properly.

Absolutely atrocious company - note the 2.8 average rating with only 8 reviews!

Bought a 10.25” crepe pan about 6 months ago. It warped almost immediately and I persevered for 6 months. The oil will not stay on the raised part and food sticks.

I emailed and enquired about their warranty and they replied and said that this was “normal” if the pan is heated up too fast or unevenly and that there was no manufacturing fault. Advised that I “turn the pan upside down and hit it with a hammer to flatten it, possibly two or three times”. Really!!!!!

There was no advice about what to place it on to hit it or whether it should be hot or cold?

I telephoned to speak with them and it goes immediately to voicemail no matter what time you call. I have now left four messages over several days asking for a call back and no one has had the courtesy to call me back.

This is supposed to be a family business but they clearly don’t give a monkey’s.

If you want better customer service (their’s couldn’t be worse) and a product fit for purpose then give these indifferents a miss (7/24)

Bitterly regret buying this piece of junk 😱

We bought a complete set of these pans. After one use and wash they rusted up. We were told to use oil each time we wanted to use them or to dry them quickly. The latter made no difference. The tea towel just got covered in rust. We asked to return them and they refused.

Used to have the best bread oven ever - an aga, perfect bread every time. Sadly that time has passed. So to the present.
Was using a normal tin and getting reasonable results.
Bought a 1kg bread tin. It makes a normal modern oven like an aga bread wise.
The loaves come out perfectly in all respects: cooking, release, depth of heat. They are the perfect loaf, time after time.
The cast iron bread tin is amazing and is the best investment ever when it comes to making bread. It does lift your baking a notch.
Remember, though it is seasoned for non stick you still need to oil, and not just a small smear use plenty, then the loaf drops out.

We have our frying pan about 2 years and we seasoned it regularly. It has never been totally non stick but now everything burns to it eventhough we seasoned it after every use. I wouldn’t recommend these frying pans. Maybe we were unlucky? Maybe it’s because our gas job was too hot eventhough we had it on low.

Supposedly seasoned on purchase. It also spun before use ie dipped in the middle - not an even surface. I Followed Instructions- low to medium gradual heat. Eggs stuck to the pan. Also burned first go, couldn’t get food residue off, now black and dipped in the centre. Total waste of money. Did I just get a bad one?
