Dear Mr Marshall,

Your review is factually incorrect and could be potentially classed as libel.

You booked your vehicle in for a Mot test and an interim service, unfortunately your vehicle failed the test due due to the following,

Repair immediately (major defects):
Exhaust emissions exceed manufacturer's specified limit (8.2.2.2 (a))
Nearside Rear Service brake excessively binding (1.2.1 (f))

We contacted you straight after and explained this to you, we informed you that the rear brake problem would require further strip down to identify the problem which there would be a diagnosis charge. You informed us to continue.

After stripping the vehicle down further we identified that a rear brake caliber was seized and required replacing, we also advised you to change the rear pads and discs as the pads were low and the discs corroded. The price of this work was given, you also asked us if you could take the vehicle away to be repaired and we informed you yes, no problem you would just owe us for the work we had carried out unto that point.

You asked again what the price of the work was and the breakdown of this additional work and the work you had already booked in for was given. You asked us clearly to continue.

Whilst the work was being undertaken you emailed our customer service and asked for a price on rear discs & pads, interim service and a fuel treatment. We replied to your enquiry with the exact same prices you had been quoted and also highlighted that the total invoice also included the Mot test fee, rear brake caliber, labour to diagnose the brake issue and a additional fuel treatment.

As you were continually contacting the depot asking for a price reduction, they gave you a £50.00 discount as a gesture of goodwill.

After you gave us the instruction to continue with the additional work at the price given you continually contacted the depot asking for a price reduction. After you collected the vehicle you have emailed our customer service department asking for a price reduction, you have stated in your email £500 would be closer to normality.

As all our telephone calls are recorded for training purposes we can easily prove that the depot acted in a professional manner from start to finish, they communicated with you from start to finish and you clearly knew all the prices and clearly asked us to carry out the work.

At no point have anyone at our company given you the finger.
