Avoid Monarch Dental in the San Antonio Forum
Avoid the Monarch Dental office in the Forum in San Antonio. They first called to reschedule because of staffing no-shows. At the appointment, after waiting for over an hour, a foreign dentist (whose own assistant had trouble understanding) tried to sell me a plan costing over $8K just for 3 fillings and 2 crowns. The "deep" cleaning alone cost over $1,800.00.

They won’t fix my dentures that broke less than 3 months from getting them I had to pay for it and since then to date they have chipped or lost teeth 9 places they are worthless
Zero Stars.

Ten months later, after multiple phone calls and repeated in-office visits to resolve billing errors, my issues remain unresolved. The lack of follow-through and internal coordination is unacceptable. Patients should not have to invest this amount of time correcting mistakes that should never occur in the first place. I strongly recommend staying away—there are many smaller dental practices that manage billing accurately and provide reliable service without the staffing and administrative failures experienced at Monarch.
Where do I start
Where do I start. This company is notorius for messing up billing. This will be twice now. I wont go through the first mess up. I will stick to the most recent, and more substantial mess up. My wife was there in March of 2023, for some dental work. She paid her out of pocket costs, up front, and the remaining should have been placed on our Dental Insurance. Come to find out 2 years later, that my wife was maxed out, at that time, on her Dental Insurance. Instead of doing the right thing, which would have been calling us, or sending something in the mail, to let us know, that we had an outstanding balance, Monarch Dental just decided to throw the bill in collections. We received a collection notice, in June of 2025, we then called Monarch Dental, and talked to Fran, who is in charge of billing. She decided to put the blame on a corporate mess up. We then called corporate, and the man apologized, and he said it was out of their hands, because it has already been sent to collections. He also said it was not corporates fault. We just ended up calling the collection agency, to pay the bill and the collection agency did remove it from my wifes report. If you ever get sent to collections from this company, which it looks like has happened multiple times to other people, just make sure you you take a screenshot of the payment you make, and get the Representatives name, from the Collection agency, so you have proof, to remove it from your credit report. Sorry if this review kind of rambles on, but I just wanted to give exact detailed information, if this happens to anyone else.
Tooth extraction
Thank you for an another amazing dental service experience. Very knowledgeable professionals. A Gift card is awaiting for me. hahaha.😁😁😁

The most horrible place do not go there. They don’t care about you, even when you’re in severe pain. They’re just taking advantage of your suffering.
Overcharged - Problems Getting Refund
Giving one star because it's not possible to give zero. I have been with Monarch for about 20+ years but was thinking it was time to change. My original appointment date was Oct 2, 2024 and I waited 45 minutes to be called for a cleaning, this has happened in the post and it's annoying. I politely said I had an issue and needed to leave and they asked if I wanted to reschedule (I accepted the new date); however, my intention was to find another dentist because I was fed up with Monarch because this wasn't the first time they kept me waiting long periods of time to be called back for service. I read reviews for other providers and they were horrible, overcharging for services not performed, etc. So I kept the appointment I was given since it was just a simple cleaning and the 6 months between cleaning would give me additional time to find a dentist closer to my home (I drive 30 minutes to this location). To my dismay, I was overcharged $200 on October 18th and they knew I was overcharged when they closed out their books on Friday, yet they continued with the processing of my card for the cleaning. I should have looked at my receipt when the receptionist gave it to me but I've never had a problem with being over charged by them before. Later that night (Oct 18) on my online banking app I saw the pending $217. I didn't get to call Monarch back until Wed, Oct 23, 2024 and the receptionist told me that they saw I was overcharged and they were waiting for me to call them to get my card number so the $200 can be refunded when the business manager returns to the office the following day. It has been 31 days and I still don't have a refund. I have called 7 times trying to get my $200 refund from Monarch Dental. I spoke to the regional or district manager, Mayra Nevarez on November 6th and she said she was working on it and would even let her manager know about it. The staff would tell me they will return my call with information about but they never return my call. One staff member, Nicole, said she would return my call and didn't;; and when I called back she said she didn't have any information from Mayra and that's why she didn't return my call. Today when I called Nicole said my refund is in "review" by corporate. What is it to review? The out of pocket for a cleaning is $17 based on my insurance plan, Monarch charged my credit card $217 - Monarch has $200 that doesn't belong to them, not something that takes long to review, especially since it's in the system regarding the services they provided and the amount I was charged. After reading the reviews from other providers I think this was intentional and Monarch is becoming an unreputable dental provider.
Absolute horrible experience.
I went in to get a small piece of tooth removed and The dentist injected the freezing wrong. He froze me into my sinus cavity. My face instantly and obviously swole right out. I could see my cheek jutting out in my peripheral vision. I couldn't move my Eye or blink for hours. And I was in so much pain and severally swollen for weeks. A couple months later, I went in and got 17 extractions done. All the rest of my teeth pulled, and it hurt less and took less time to heal Then that one little piece of tooth i had removed .absolutely ridiculous.!!

I called first thing in the morning because of a broken tooth and I will give them the fact that they got me in the same day.
My issue is, the dentist came and looked at it and started talking about different solutions, said he would be right back and left me waiting for about half an hour in the room. Apparently expected me to wait all day as I was leaving, an assistant started to mock me.

I called monarch because I needed a tooth pulled. It had turned black and infected. The call center sent me to a dentist who does not pull teeth. I feel they did not care about me only my insurance. I will not go back.
HIGH PRAISE
High praise goes to the Office of Brittany Irons and her staff. She put in a custom Abutment and a Crown and now I can smile again. Many thanks to you and your staff

I do not recommend using this dental company. I had nothing but issues with their care. They ruined my front four bottom teeth and I had to go elsewhere to get a bridge put in. They over charge. Cancel with only an hour or so notice and treat people with no regards other than a money amount. I will never go to this company again!
Great audience and front desk attendance. Quality and outstanding service.

Went to Monarch Dental in Cornerstone
Went to Monarch Dental in Cornerstone, Hot Springs first in January. I agreed to root canal, two crowns, and a bridge. After my insurance was maxed out, I had a balance of 1,556.00. Paid this amount in full and was given a temporary plate until my permanent came in. When permanent came the first time the assistant broke it while trying to put it in my mouth. I was later told it was told to company that made the tooth it came broken already. Not true..The temporary was put back in my mouth not adjusted correctly and by the first week of February I was grinding my teeth so bad in my sleep that I broke the temporary in half and chipped a piece of a tooth in the front of my mouth. I went in first thing for them to replace temporary and asked what would be done to fix my front tooth back as it was, since the horrible temp that was put in caused me to grind and break temp and chip my tooth. I was told by the dentist him self that I couldn’t prove this was on them. Then he said it was up to Debby whom told me it was up to the dentist.. Huh..Second temporary was put in that day. When my permanent arrived in February the dentist proceeded to place in mouth knowing the whole time it was not correct. After that weekend I called to let them know there is a big gap where bridge is causing food to pack under the bridge. The dentist then took pictures of my mouth and told me that he was sending to company that makes permanent acknowledging it was completely wrong. The same dentist whom put it in my mouth knowing it was wrong and hoping I would say nothing. Once again my temp was put back in my mouth and my appointment was pushed out another month March 26th. I go in and the permanent again still has a gap where the bridge is. I told them once again it’s not right, this has went on for 3 months now of me not getting what my insurance or myself paid for on top of that I have another damaged tooth they refuse to take responsibility for when the incorrect adjustment to the temp caused the damage. Spoke to Debbie who decided to come in and say “You do understand a bridge is not going to be perfect.” I in return said, “You do understand I have a whole other bridge done by a different dental office that is done correctly and I know there is suppose to be no gap where food packs under and on top of the bridge.” I paid my money in full, in which she told me the money did not matter. I work very hard for my money and did not appreciate her telling me my money did not matter. She asked me do I expect them to fix my front tooth at no cost. I absolutely do as they are the reason it happened. Debby took my number, said she would contact me that day to see if she could work this out. Two days later here I am calling her only for her to say we won’t be taking responsibility for the tooth you chipped same time you broke our temp grinding your teeth. I will be reporting this to my insurance as insurance and I paid for services in January and here it is 3 months later and I have been through hell. The company they use does not seem to know how to make a bridge. This is the worse service I have ever received at any dental office and would not recommend anyone go there, as they care nothing about their patients and as Debby said the money you spend does not matter. If I could give them a -5 star that’s what they would have. Do not book with Monarch Dental in Hot Springs if you want good service and people who actually care about the money their patients spend.
Poor service
Poor service, poor workman ship, I was told first visit I had needed a 1500 cleaning, when I went in, the hygienist said it wasn't that bad and I was in and out in just the same time as a normal teeth cleaning, then like a chain grocery store I find out they do random specials and sales price was lowered through this, but still high. Later on I chose a dental plan through Cigna who advertised Monarch as a primary representative provider. Fast forward a little over a year... I go in and ask for an extraction. Then when I go in for an extraction, they tried to up sale me to a crown. I ask the cost, they tell me the price with my dental plan (on top of what I already paid around another 500), which I assumed was fair...The day I go in for the first round of crown mold and temp crown fit. The Dr said we can bridge this. I follow up with well what's that gonna cost. I'm already maxed out on funds for this. He says he will send the person in who can show me the numbers. The woman comes in and say with your plan and coverage we can do this for a total of this number (like 12-1500 off the top of my head its been a few years now). I follow up with are you sure because that's all I can do. I'm reassured that this is the price and it will work. So I sign and pay full amount that day. The first temp crown they put in was not properly trimmed and started to cut into my upper cheek. I come back in the following week to have it redone (just to hear the Dr. in the background raising hell for stalling the flow of business and not caring about the clients as people). During the fixing of the second temp crown, the hygienist loses a piece of metal that magically vanished (down my throat) causing more headache...fast forward again, bridge and crown set....fast forward few months... I get a plan denial letter saying they would not honor what Monarch said they could do...Monarch later sends me a bill wanting another 1000 dollars....Why would you tell a customer and sell them on a service you should've known wouldn't be covered and are now trying to hold me accountable for your mistakes, on top of the improper temp crown situations....later an arbitrator makes contact and I explain the whole situation and bring up the aspect of most likely seeking legal counsel. The arbitrator said she would look into the matter and follow up.....Never followed up almost a year later. I get a notice threatening to send off to a 3rd party collector....SEVERLEY BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES ONLY CARES ABOUT MONEY AND NOT THE PATIENT AND WILL FALSELY TELL YOU A PRICE JUST TO SCAM YOU LATER
Extremely Rude Employee Behavior
On 1/23/24 spoke to female at Monarch Dental Town East Crossing, Mesquite, TX. Stated I wanted the doctor to write a prescription for a mouth issue. Asked her to just say yes or no whether the doctor can. She said “no”. Then realized the doctor had previously written me a prescription for something else. When I tried to correct her, she refused to allow the conversation to be redirected, and just kept repeating herself that I had said “say yes or no”. I said, what’s your name? She refused and hung up on me!
A+ Monarch Dental Weatherford, TX
Dr. Daniel Sorokolit, DMD and his Dental Assistant Sara (or spelled Sarah) are 2 of the nicest and caring people I've ever met. This is the office located in Weatherford, TX. I had an extraction and Dr. Sorokolit and Sara made the process so smooth, careful and calm. I was scared as I always am of needles. They kept talking to me and it helped so much.
Daniel also gave extra care to another broken adjacent tooth. This is care you don't see much these days. Struggling with no income, family is helping me pay, so I am tremendously grateful to have Daniel as my dentist and his assistant. Either Daniel has a passion for helping where he can or this was a blessing from God. my last dentist was at Comfort Dental in Littleton Colorado and they werent bad but Monarch Dental deserves "comfort" in their title.
I'm back home now and feel minimal pain. They gave me a sealed gauze pack, a sealed instant cold pack and a 2nd prescription for antibiotics due to losing my prior prescription. I wish all Dentists were like this. I look forward to working with this office for more treatment. Thank you Daniel and Sara! Practice makes perfect and you guys are performing well. I'm posting this on Google too. Well deserved.

Don't go
Don't go! Going to take me $4000 to fix issues that they created. They cancel appointments all the time.
Do not use them.
I have been a patient for over 4 months. I have been in the office 4 times to have impressions for clear aligners (Ortho side) made and have yet to see them . I have left over 4 messages different times. I paid my balance in advance then was told I owed more then went in for a visit paid that amount and was told I owe nothing then. Get a bill for 400 then another for 1200 now another for 1600+. . I left two messages saying I want ALL MY MONEY BACK so I can seek these procedures elsewhere maybe where they care for their patients. I have heard nothing! I want a refund ASAP. I will no longer visit this place. It is the worst ever now do not get me wrong the ladies there are super sweet and very friendly so do not understand why I can’t get a call back or better my money back.
I will update this review as soon as my I get my money back.
Beware of the implant push
Beware of the inplant push. I almost paid 8 grand for one tooth which they said could not be saved. Thank God I got a second opinion which was totally different then what I was told.
