Nicole was my estate agent who showed me around the property. She was thorough, professional and answered all my questions. I had a few more questions regarding the property, for which she was proactive in asking the landlord and she returned back to me with answers.

Nicole was my agent - that showed me the viewing. She's very professional, she has her files and all information ready - such as EPC rating, Council tax. She patiently waited for me to see every thing in the apartment. Yes, I would rate her a 5 star.

I had a fantastic experience viewing a rental property with Nicole Carvalho from Moginie James in Roath. From the moment we met, Nicole was incredibly professional, friendly and approachable.
What really stood out was her knowledge of the property and the local area. She was able to answer every question in detail, providing useful insights without ever making me feel overwhelmed. It was clear she genuinely understood both the property and what I was looking for.
Nicole also ensured the viewing felt relaxed and unhurried. She gave me the space to properly take everything in, while being readily available if I needed guidance or clarification. There was no pressure at any point, just a really positive, comfortable experience.

Mercedes was fully committed to us and getting our apartment compliant and back on the market as soon as possible. She kept us informed every step of the way and responded to any queries we put to her almost immediately.
After the extremely disappointing way in which we'd been dealt with by our previous letting agency, this was a very welcome experience. Under Mercedes helpful guidance we always felt we were being well looked after and that our interests were a priority.

I've chosen my new home with them, and the process has never been so smooth and well handled. Communication was great, we mainly spoke to Mercedes who made sure to answer any questions we had during and after the viewing.

Negligent service from day one. We reported serious health and safety issues including mould, faulty windows, and broken doors/fencing, yet the agent offered zero assistance. Despite the deteriorating state of the property, they consistently raised the rent. To make matters worse, they provided an inaccurate check-out report that contradicted the initial inventory just to withhold our deposit. Totally unprofessional and misleading—save yourself the trouble and avoid them.

Sale collapsed after 6 months — lack of due diligence and communication

We had an extremely disappointing experience trying to sell our property through this branch. We were encouraged to proceed with a buyer who, as we only discovered months later, did not have a mortgage in place. Despite repeatedly asking for updates over a six-month period, we were reassured the purchase was progressing — only for the sale to collapse once the buyer finally applied for a mortgage and was unable to secure one. As a result, we also lost the home we were in the process of buying, which added to the stress and frustration.

When we requested our file notes, the information we received raised serious concerns. The notes did not reflect the level of contact we had or the lack of progress we repeatedly questioned. It was extremely confusing and left us feeling misled about how our sale had been monitored and managed. We expected proper checks and clearer oversight of the buyer’s position from the start, especially regarding financial readiness.

This entire situation could have been avoided with basic due diligence and transparent communication. Instead, we lost half a year, missed multiple opportunities, and went through a huge amount of unnecessary stress — all for a sale that was never in a position to complete.

To add to this, our formal complaint went unanswered. The lack of acknowledgement or accountability has been incredibly disappointing and is the reason we have now instructed another branch.

I’m sharing this so others are aware — ensure thorough checks are carried out before trusting that your sale is genuinely progressing.

Had to move last minute before Christmas, Bradley was unbelievably helpful to get the whole process from viewing to offer to guarantor to acceptance sorted in about 36 hours!

Me and my 2 mates were trying to move in and bradley was lovely with helping us move from sorting out or issues with me moving from ireland. Any issue we had he helped us sort and was such a gent about it

Firstly I must commend a good customer service rendered towards me by Mercedes Kouzoukis. She made herself available for all my enquiries and was very supportive throughout the contract. Having had other options with cheaper fee, she was still able to convince me to go through the deal.

Estate Agents prioritise profit over professionalism so lost a sale.

I had an accepted offer on a property, but the agent refused to issue the memorandum of sale unless I paid £80 for ID checks via their third-party provider, Lifetime Legal—despite these checks typically being free elsewhere. I declined due to past negative experiences with Lifetime Legal, including unwanted subscriptions, and offered alternative ID/AML verification methods, which the branch manager rejected. A simple manual check would have sufficed, but they prioritised profit over professionalism. I’ve raised a complaint with Romans, the parent company, though this seems to be a common practice and will take it further to the ombudsman. I hope such charges are banned soon, like renter fees were. Seek estate agents who don’t charge for this service

I have just lost buying a flat through Morgine James and was shocked to find I had to pay £80 for them to check my identity, I've never had this with any other agent and I've bought several house,
It's really a way to get you to sign up for legal services from Lifetime Legal.
THIS IS OUT OF ORDER NO OTHER ESTATE AGENT DOES THIS.
I checked with another estate agent who said it has to do money laundering checks, and to save them time they employ a company that charge £20! not £80
I would not have minded at £20
So if you lose a sale you thought you had maybe the purchaser refused to pay £80 like me
This is the second time I have had dealings with them the first time got very rude when they realised they would only get half commission on a sale as anothe estate agent actually made the sale.
I would never use them for buying selling or renting, total money grabbers
