I've been working with the company, formerly Mission Translate, for a long time, but I negotiated a new agreement with Mission Connect and our professional relationship has not only not improved, it has deteriorated. I have always stood for honesty, transparency and ethics, values that are clearly not in the dictionary of people like Bernice Langeman, Hawazen Al-Ani, Hayder Al-Ani (CEO) and others who, I fear, are also falling foul of the rot that these people cultivate around them. Anyone who promotes a doctrine of dishonesty, fails to honor or procrastinates with contractual commitments, payments and the like, lies, is immoral must be brought to justice.
I strongly advise against working with Mission Connect, as my experience has been nothing short of frustrating and unprofessional. Despite having completed my work in full and to the highest standard, the company has failed to pay me for my services. Countless emails requesting an update on my payment were deliberately ignored and failed every attempt at communication. The lack of transparency, accountability, and professionalism is shocking. No freelancer, contractor, or business should have to beg for what is rightfully owed to them. Companies of this nature are an affront to professionalism and ethics in all its aspects and should be held accountable for their conduct. It is imperative that there is an efficient regulator or authority that will act accordingly in the face of something so flagrant and brazen.
In this sense, as ridiculous as it sounds, this is what I have underway, a legal action that will cost a lot because it's a foreign company and I'm a freelancer based abroad, but I trust that the situation will be resolved and those responsible for it will be punished accordingly. In other words, it's going to cost them when it would be simpler to be honest. I can only hope to rest my case as soon as possible and that these charlatans don't screw anyone else over.

I strongly advise against working with Mission Connect, as my experience has been nothing short of frustrating and unprofessional. Despite having completed my work in full and to the highest standard, the company has failed to pay me for my services. They owe me over 5,000 USD and keep stalling their replies or downright ignore my emails.
I have sent over 40 emails requesting an update on my payment, yet they have deliberately ignored every attempt at communication. The lack of transparency, accountability, and professionalism is shocking. No freelancer, contractor, or business should have to beg for what is rightfully owed to them.
If you are considering working with Mission Connect, think twice—their refusal to respond and take responsibility for outstanding payments speaks volumes about their business ethics. I am now forced to take legal action to recover what I am owed, something that could have been avoided with a simple, professional resolution on their part.
DO NOT WORK FOR THEM!
Despite multiple follow-ups over several months, I have yet to receive payment. Their lack of responsiveness and failure to honor agreements make them unreliable.
I worked for the Mission Translate
I worked for the Mission Translate / Mission Connect for years through Upwork and everything went fine. Once they invited me to work for them directly, they barely paid. I have invoices almost 2 years old, and they owe me several thousands of pounds. I had to refer to debt collectors after a year of chasing, where they promised me that payment will go through. The owner agreed to pay in instalments, but then again, did not pay. Now considering the next steps to get these invoices paid as no one works for free.

I had a highly disappointing experience with this translation company. I completed a project with them over seven months ago, and despite multiple follow-ups, I have yet to receive the payment for my work.
I strongly advise caution when working with this company, especially if you’re relying on them for fair compensation. This has been a huge inconvenience, and the lack of transparency and accountability has severely impacted my trust in their business practices.
Would not recommend.

They do not pay. You have to spend time writing them requests for payment. Their answers are polite and standard:
"Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the delay in processing your payment. We understand the importance of timely payments, especially during challenging times, and we deeply regret the impact this has had on you.
I assure you that this matter is being treated with the utmost urgency. We are working to resolve this issue, and I will ensure the payment is processed without further delay. You will receive a confirmation as soon as the payment has been made."
I do not recommend working with them.
NON PAYMENT - DO NOT WORK FOR THEM
I started working with Mission Translate/Connect earlier this year via an existing client (The Planning Shop) for market research services. I was paid for the first project after quite a bit of chasing but the next 3 invoices dating back to April and May this year, totalling nearly £4,000, have not been paid. I have sent countless emails and tried to ring Mission Translate but either receive no reply or am given payment dates which just come and go. My contact has mainly been with Kaye Villamor and Hawazen Al-Ani. I am now going to make a claim via the small claims court if I do not get paid in the next 2 weeks. I have never had these sorts of issues before in 15 years of working for myself and find it very hard to understand how they can continue to operate in this manner.

Scammers
This company owes me almost £ 5,000. After working on large and complicated projects for large companies with very tight deadlines, I've been trying to get paid for over 1 year! They always offer the same excuse: they have problems with transactions and payments. I was tolerant and understanding for the first couple of months, since I truly believed they had some issues after changing the payment system, but it’s been almost a year now and I’m still waiting for my money! They offer payment schedules and failed to make the payments over and over again.
Compulsive non-payer
Upon starting cooperation with Mission Translate I had little idea that it was the 3rd company of CEO Hayder (after eSense / Convocco), which would continue to underpay or not to pay linguists and then go into liquidation. Now Mission Translate has been bought out by Mission Connect whose CEO is Hayer again and will continue its shameful operations until nobody wants to work for them anymore. On the Companies House website, you can download the PDF file 'Statement of Administrator's proposal' and go to pages 37 to 54 where you can find a list of all the freelancers / translators they owe money to. I am one of them and even though I have got a partial payment, I have little hope of getting paid in full as my e-mails are mostly ignored or I receive totally irrelevant information. Stay away from this company because you will have to chase them and beg them for your hard-earned money. A very humiliating and annoying experience.
30.07 - I have received payment for jobs done at the beginning of the year (invoices from April and May due to their invoicing process), yet it's been a humiliating process to keep chasing them and I do not recommend it to anyone.

Mission Translate is currently in liquidation as they're not able to pay £2 MILLION worth of debts to freelance translators and creditors.
If you check the company's details on the Companies House website, you can download the PDF file 'Statement of Administrator's proposal' and go to pages 37 to 54, which has a list of all the freelancers / translators they owe money to!!!!
The people who own & manage this company are LITERAL sc@mmers and should go to jail.

Echo the comments below, they do not pay their contractors. I have £3600 outstanding for work did in February/March, and no response or just continues lying 'will be paid next week'.
The company house record is showing Mission Translate is now under administration so there is real issue as to whether any outstanding payment can be resolved. I will launch small claim's court proceeding.

Over and over again I have had continual problems being paid for invoices owed - in fact every single one has had delays, I had had to chase continually well past the due date - the record so far has been 5 months. I stopped taking on projects as a result of this issue but was offered work again a year or so later, mistakenly thinking things would be better....stupid me. yet again as with other people below me I have been continually fobbed off with: "I will check the payment date", yet still have not been provided with an answer yet. I have been chasing for 2 weeks now. It is exhausting and frustrating - why can they not pay on time and why must we as contactors have to contact them multiple times? I fear I will still not get paid and am looking at the small claims court now.
It’s absolutely outrageous
It’s absolutely outrageous: I have written multiple times demanding the payment of my overdue invoices (total amount due is €3700 with some invoices dating several months back) and o either receive no reply or the standard reply that they are looking to fix it and that they will pay soon. I had even agreed to a payment plan (that they offered) in the desperate hope that this would work, but they simply did not pay. I am considering taking legal action against them.

They kept lying me, saying they will pay. They have not paid me at all over 1600 EUR in total. I have seen many victims like me elsewhere. I am thinking of taking a legal action. Please advise me if there is any way I can get money from them.

I have not been paid for over a year! They owe multiple unpaid invoices. I have emailed their accounts department several times and either they don't reply or I get the same message that they have "escalated the issue". DO NOT WORK FOR THEM. YOU WILL NOT BE PAID!! My advice is to avoid them at all costs.

MT does NOT pay
I have worked in many projects for Mission Translate for several years now because projects were interesting and PM’s always supportive and friendly. Everything was fine…until it came to payment.
I usually had to push in order to get paid. Although payment was always delayed, they used to settle my invoices. However, it is sad to see that they do not care about paying to linguists anymore. I spent the whole 2023 demanding my payment without anything else but fancy emails full of excuses. Some of my invoices were overdue a year ago and still no response. I just stopped collaborating with them because I can’t keep on working for free.
Sad to say so, but Mission Translate is not a good place to work anymore. No wonder they are banned from the main translator sites due to their bad record. About good reviews: have you noticed they are all from February 2023? That was when many PMs asked us linguists to write a good review for the company on several sites, including this one. Obviously, I could not give a good word for a company that demands promptness and quality but does not pay for it.
Notice that there are no more good reviews after February 2023, while complaints about no payment keep coming on a regular basis.
BTW, currently most of those PM’s are not even working for them anymore.
Warning, colleagues: MT just gives excuses, but does not pay. It's up to you if you want to work for free.

Accounts department playing BS about paying. 14 Weeks and no payment. I'm tired of begging for my money. Let me check if I could get the contacts of the clients I did the job and bring to them, you don't pay your transcribers.
