Great service from East Grinstead Millets on finding new hiking boots, very patient and friendly staff

Urgently needed some new walking boots. Member of staff (Alfie) was very helpful and knowledgeable, sorted out just what I needed.

Jon gave me really valuable help and advice re first aid kits for a walk I am organising. Thank you Millets in East Grinstead is a great shop, a real asset to the high street

Staff are always really helpful when in store. Very last minute before scout camp we discovered we needed a new waterproof jacket for our son. I phoned up and Millie kindly checked what was in stock and put one in his size to one side for us to pop in and collect.

Went into Millets for walking boots for my daughters. As my youngest is a size 4 to 5, she’s on the cusp between kids and women’s boot sizes. Millie helped us try a pair of kids boots, but they weren’t quite right. She suggested a pair of women’s boots which are currently on sale, so only slightly more expensive than the kids boots but great quality with really good waterproofing and ankle support. They seem to suit my daughter perfectly, so we’re very pleased!

Arrived looking for a male and female all weather lightweight jackets and knowing the appropriate price point for quality.... it was a quiet Sunday morning with more staff than customers and found myself referencing products online as no real help forthcoming. I will be honest if you didn't have such a good product line in store we would've shopped elsewhere but will say we were also looking for merrell footware and walked away from that purchase as staff not forthcoming in help or advise at any point..... to cut it short great products poor customer service until taking the money.... know what you want do some research you will save some money, just don't rely on assistance

Staff were very helpful and pointed out. I could get an extra discount as I was a member of the NationalTrust. The shoes are very good value indeed.

I've bought a new backpack after 7 years for travelling purposes. Gavin was super helpful and patient. He helped me to choose the best option for airplane travels with the suitable size dimensions and quality for my needs. So, overall I bought an Osprey backpack, which is absolutely amazing. I've been numerous times to Millets EG. I always get very helpful staff who know the products well and one who kindly told my that National Trust members get a discount. Today it was Millie who helped as I bought sandals and replaced trainers

Excepting students discount and efficient and polite costumer service

Gavin was amazing. Helped me pick a rucksack, fit it and had lots of useful advice. He was very knowledgeable. He also gave me a quick lesson on how to map read with the new compass I bought! The shop also looks very good since its revamp and reorg.

The staff that worked in the shop were very helpful, knowledgeable and not pushy on the sale I would recommend this shop to everyone as the staff were so helpful
