Today, I had red lights and messages including "reversing not possible, consult workshop" and "transmission problem - stop". I called Mercedes Breakdown and within a few minutes got a call from a friendly engineer (Michaela). She said she'd be with me in about 30 minutes (true). She ran diagnostics which confirmed her opinion, that it was a failing wheel speed sensor. Much to my surprise, she had one in her van and quickly fitted it. Problem solved. Cost £21.36. Throughout she was friendly and informative.

Frustrating experience regarding vehicle paperwork and security at Mercedes Taunton

We recently visited Mercedes Taunton to remove the previous administrator from our car's Mercedes me app, as advised by Courtney who told us to just bring the green slip from the log book.
Leaving a previous owner on the app is a major security risk, as it allows them to potentially trace the vehicle or control features remotely depending on their subscriptions.

Despite driving the vehicle directly onto the forecourt and being able to provide a purchase invoice, the staff refused to set up the app for us because our V5C logbook was still in the post.

They insisted that Mercedes-Benz strictly requires the V5C as "proof of ownership."
This is factually incorrect. The DVLA states in bold letters on the front of every V5C document that it is not proof of ownership.
Legally, ownership is proven through purchase receipts or invoices.

Thanks to the lady on the front desk, a manager, Ben did eventually step in to remove the previous owner's data, which did give us peace of mind but they still would not allow us to activate our own account without the logbook.

We hope management provides the team with better training regarding legal documents and data security so future customers do not experience unnecessary barriers.

The annual service and MOT were fine. What was disappointing was I needed a new lens for the rear door light...not done. The passenger safety belt needed attention according to the display... not done. The battery should have been tested ...not done. All had been discussed with team before . The car was not returned on the day, so we were without transport but not notified. Could do better.

The staff were very helpful and quick to get us sorted, however we had a few issues with getting our deposit back for the V5 trade in. After multiple times to contact the man he hasn't gotten back to him so we have had to follow it up multiple times.

Danielle was brilliant. Explained everything really well to us. Very professional, made us feel at ease and made our car buying experience memorable. Thankyou Danielle, a pleasure to meet you.

Definitely one of the best and easiest experiences of buying a car their customer service and staff was brilliant! From start to finish we were looked after by the Pash (lovely chap) he is very knowledgeable about the cars and helped us through the process of making our selection, and when we came to collecting the car he demonstrated all the features and even paired my phone to the car, will definitely be back, and my daughter is considering buying a Mercedes

Would buy from here again without question. Pash was extremely helpful from start to finish and the service was the best I have experienced from any dealer. Best customer service in the industry.

A friendly welcome from the Taunton MB team as ever. Courtley handled our service from start to end- she was fantastic. Smiling, polite and courteous throughout - making us feel like valued customers. We had a delay in returning the courtesy car and she was superb in sorting it out which took the stress off me. Also a thank you to Tim who took time to show us our (hopefully soon) next new car and had us enthused from the minute we sat in it.
I have experienced different MB dealerships and sadly they are not all up to the high standards we receive from Taunton!

I purchased a new Mercedes A35 from MB Taunton. From my first contact with Ben my whole experience was very professional and slick.
I live 150 miles away so communication was key for me and I was kept informed of progress at regular intervals.
On the day of my collection I was picked up from the station by Alex who handled my handover in a speedy and very professional way making the whole experience very pleasant.

We suffered a broken suspension spring at Sedgemoor Services (M5) on a busy Friday evening. Mercedes recovered our vehicle to MB Taunton and provided us with an onward journey in a taxi and a hire car. Erin at MB in Taunton organised the inspection, parts ordering and repair by the following Tuesday and kept us informed throughout the process. Excellent service and we could not have been happier.

I was very impressed by the detail that the sales manager put in to explaining all about the vehicle and allowing me to give it a decent test drive. Again when I collected the van I was picked up from the local station and a full explanation of how everything works was given to me.

Yesterday I was blown by this garage and Courtney I called as I was on my way back from Cornwall and my Aircon wasn’t working they looked up my number plate and informed me my MOT had run out and said they’d do it there and then. Gave myself and my friend into town and back re gassed the Aircon but it needed a compressor so didn’t charge me cleaned my car all for just the price of a mot. I was so impressed. I felt I was totally looked after! Highly recommend!!

I collected my car this Saturday the handover was by Tim who was a very nice man but car wasn’t as I expected it
I had been told all scratches and stone chips would all be gone
Only a few had been removed when I commented I was told it is a used car your buying
Two missing dust caps although I asked twice for them I never got them
Both keys needed new batteries which I bought when I got home

Wish I had read reviews for Taunton MB before I took my car in.

5 weeks and still no diagnoses. Was told 199 to diagnose, after weeks and weeks no communication, was told they were waiting for a compression test, this is a basic in most garages. After many phone calls chasing I was called for authorisation of a further leak test which would take 3 hours, at 289 per hour!!! Car was collected and taken to another garage, ok collection they tried to charge me 500 for tests completed, I have no paperwork and no diagnoses, who charges 289 per hour for testing?? No communication and made up prices. very poor
