John was fantastic! I bought my second car from here, and the service was even better. The car was in immaculate condition; they went above and beyond to make it look completely new, put new tyres in, new breaks, etc.

Whenever I visit a car dealer I expect pushy sales reps who insist I have to buy stuff like wheel insurance, gap insurance and every other insurance going otherwise the world will end. I didn't get any of that. I just got incredibly professional, honest salesmen who told me how it was and did everything they could to answer my questions. How refreshing is that? AND.. to top it all off, I was sold an immaculately prepared car. Nice one!

I just bought a VW Golf through McCarthy cars. I dealt with Stephen Paice who could not have been more helpful. He made the process very smooth and was extremely polite and helpful. Highly recommend.

I recently bought a car from Mc Carthy dealership.
It's been just 3months.
And today my car battery went dead.
I phoned them and told them everything.
They responded me very respectfully and they also agreed to pay money for new battery it costed 145 pound.
So far I know her name is Lisa and sales lady was Maria.

I remember when Mc Carthy Cars started trading over 50 years ago (back when I was changing my car every few weeks "younger" days 😊).
I also remember that they were reputed to be a good car dealers then, but I stuck to buying private.
Fast forward to 12th July 2024 and I found myself absorbed by the professionalism of the sales team that not only had a huge range of quality cars for sale, their customer relations were above and beyond all others.
This family business has strong foundations and deserve every bit of credit that they receive.
And as for me, I had absolute trust and confidence from the start, from a top price trade-in for my Jeep, to when I drove my much sought after new (used) car from their forecourt.
They are a great team, and a special thanks to Steve who guided me through the p/x & buying process....
This fella deserves 10 out of 10 for his passion in matching me with the perfect car and the sales service we all ideally seek.

I bought my car from Mccarthy on 1st April and was very happy with the services provided. They were quick, responsive, pretty helpful, guided me well. I even took the delivery on a Holiday since I am quite busy with my office work on weekdays. On the day, I was given one operational key since the other key was not working (which should have been chaecked before hand only). But I was affirmed that someone would come and sort out the keys at my place, since a mentioned earlier, I am busy on weekdays. From here the issue starts to build up since no one contacted me initially and after chasing, I am being asked to come to their service centre (open from Monday-Friday 8am to 6pm), and they would need special approval to pick up my car. I am fine with ione key also, but since I am going on a long drive with my parents and my family, I am just concerned what might happen if my only key stops working. I understand Mr. JAmes is the owner to whom I tried reaching 8 times over call and everytime a message is left for him and he never calls me back. I tried booking couple of early morning appointments at 9:00 am, but my work commitments doesn't allow me to attend these. I am feeling so sad that I have to give them a low rating but this is something which has been bothering me big time. I didn't mention, the wrong name on the certificate (which was rectified by the only, when I gave them a copy) and the front wipers which didn't work properly from the very first day. I hope this review might help me raise my concern and I might get some solution quickly

Car was everything the advert was. Photos on the website all were exactly as the car is.Johnathan McCarthy. Made everything clear keeping informed also answering everything I asked.the time I was on-site also was a great experience no hard sale force everything in my own time making sure it was my next car as I wanted it to be. Jhonathen carried out all the necessary documents and made me fully aware what’s on offer with the after sale teams .helping me understand I have three years no worries driving experience.
