We bought 10 windows and a slider door in their wood interior clad Elevate line. We counted 7 factory defects including a window where the joint was not secured and had a noticeable gap between parts, 4 windows where you could not install the screens, one window missing a chunk of the wood and several other minor issues. We never saw anyone from Marvin to repair these issues as apparently they do not have a professional service department anymore, it is now left up to the dealer to take care of these issues. It took over 6 weeks to get these issue corrected in which time the inside and outside of the house sat unfinished. Really poor quality and customer service for premium windows.
I wrote a pretty scathing review yesterday but today I learned part of why Marvin's approval rating has been declining. During the covid years, they switched from handling shipping in-house to outsourcing it. As a result, they would bring completed orders to JB Hunt shipping and from that point forward, it was out of Marvin's hands. Registered Marvin agents (where I ordered my windows) had no way of knowing the plan until the truck left JB Hunt on Monday morning.
Additionally, I was told that during the covid years Marvin began keeping less of their materials in stock. If they had an unexpected breakage, this could create significant delays while they waited for more.
Bottom line: I don't believe they are liars, but I do think the switch to outsourcing their deliveries and lack of communication might be the source of reduced respect in the marketplace. I would hope their COO might consider this unintended consequence.
Adhesive mars all four sides of each new window! I thought we were buying great windows that would open and clean easily. Wrong! The latches are hard to work. Furthermore, every window came with an adhesive line on all four sides of the windows. It cannot be removed. They sell you dirty, sticky windows that cannot be cleaned!
We spent $50K + with Marvin on our new build lured in by the lifetime warranty that doesn't exist and the supposed high quality......the only thing high was the intial cost, there is absolutely NO WARRANTY and customer service is absolutely ZERO, does not exist. We experienced faulty products, failing hardware and complete ghosting from the factory for any help. The bottom line is these folks are lying swindlers, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS, go anywhere else as fast as possible and stay away from Marvin products unless you want a headache !!
We went Marvin for all our doors and windows including a huge slider. For the most part, everything was good except the slider which is a focal point of our house separating our living room and deck. The slider never worked right, with issues latching and locking. The official Marvin dealer that did the install refused to fix it, so I went directly to Marvin for help. They provided tech support where I could fix it myself, but would void the warranty. So, I fixed it myself (sort of) since it was my only choice since my dealer wouldn't. I wish Marvin would have my back on this, and have someone help me for the insane amount of money we spent on that door and all our other doors and windows, but they didn't. So I have a big giant focal point door in the middle of my house that sort of works. It will eventually be replaced, but not with a Marvin.
I have 2 glass failures and multiple window part failure in parts of my house that are not lived in the parts that are used needed replacement within 10 years of install not sure what the answer is but it is not there windows or doors
We spent $50,000 with Marvin Windows and still got a defective product. Their rep ordered the wrong size replacement without verifying anything, doubling our installation costs. Marvin’s response was hostile, refusing to take responsibility and trying to shift blame. Even for a window they already sold us in faulty condition, they refused to cover costs or send their own technician. Avoid.

Brand new door 6 months old needs adjustment. Numerous calls with no response. They promised the world to make a sale and then disappeared. Horrible company. Find someone else
I have some older Marvin French doors that appear to be well built but the specialized weather strip has deteriorated and needs replacing. I contacted the company via their website contact form. After receiving an automated reply promising I would be contacted. A year went by with no response. I spoke with Lillian in customer service who was able to see my original contact. She promised someone would contact me. More weeks passed and I contacted her again. More promises, no response. I am giving up now as there is no one that will help in this company. I urge anyone considering Marvin doors and windows to consider the complete lack of support you will receive in the event you have an issue with these top dollar products.
Ordered roughly $50,000 of windows and doors as part of a whole house remodel. One of the doors arrived with warped paneling and a window arrived with a piece of the weatherstrip smashed down in between the glass and frame. Marvin service rep’s reply about the door defect was that “they are built that way”. They were not willing to make it right. All marvin doors I have seen have no such defect. Their response to the window weather strip was “just pull it out and we’ll send you a new strip to apply”. It was a $3k door and an $800 window. They should arrive without defects. Window could not be repaired after all was said and done.
I would never order from Marvin again. Anderson has a great product and they care enough about their customers to help make right any defects.

I purchased many Marvin Infinity fiberglass windows 15 years ago. These are superb windows and I have been very pleased with them. There are only 2 problems. (1) To open the windows for cleaning, you must click past a stop in the upper window lock. This releases the locks in the window jamb. (That is, pulls the catch from the jamb into the window itself.) Over time, once removed from the jamb, this lock will NOT RETRACT the catch so you can replace the window back into the jamb. (That is, it will not withdraw the catch back into the window itself.) The only work around is to have 2 people manually hold the catches in the retracted position and then the lock will release and you can replace the window. My greatest fear is that, since the mechanism is not working correctly now, eventually it will fail totally and I will not be able to remove or replace the window. (2) I made 4 telephone calls in the middle of a workday to Marvin for technical assistance. They never called me back. I have tried to contact the CEO/President to express my concerns. This is not possible. The company has been most uncooperative in permitting me to reach the person in charge.
