No stars if I could . Concerning the company WISE they employ. First of all their enforcement officers are intimidating . Secondly when you try to contact WISE with the details they have provided , their automated system advises this is a complaints line & if you are calling re a fixed penalty notice to stay on the line to speak with the COMPLAINTS Team. If & when you do get through they advise they do not deal with complaints & that you have to write or email . If you write or email the auto response advises they would ll be in contact within 10 working days . Over 3 weeks later it takes for them to respond in which they tell you , you have till 13th of this month to make payment , we are today on the 3rd of the month which leaves me 10 days for something I absolutely dispute . I have tried phoning several times today & each time it’s a v Mail advising they will get back but never do. I have also emailed them again but given the time it took for them to send their non auto response , it will be way past the date that I am supposed to make payment for something I am disputing

This car park is a disgrace. Filthy covered in graffiti and no mother and child support ace. Requires you to pay on entry. Forgot. Got fined but as paid on departure not knowing pay on entry they refused to deduct what I paid off the £25 fine. In fact proceeded to send letters justifying this all the time totally ignoring the comments about how this happened and by the way we had a 3 month baby with us and had to negotiate a pee stinking lift amongst the graffiti strew walls Once a major car park accessing the now defunct ghost town store formerly known as kendals
The city rips you off for parking and clearly has no interest in anything but raising revunue which is t being spent on the once great city. Well done Manchester SHITTY council
Won’t bother coming to your city again

Please be aware that Manchester City Council have a policy of making money by catching unaware drivers for bus lane infringements.
If you have no local knowledge of the roads then my advice would be not to visit Manchester, clearly the system is designed to deter outside visitors, fair enough, I certainly don't want to go back.

Can't even see the balance of my council tax.
Can't see the payments,how much is left,if i have a discount.Useless website.

Absolutely unacceptable service from Manchester City Council.

For two consecutive weeks, my household bins have not been collected, despite being placed outside correctly and all waste being properly sorted. No explanation, no warning, no notification. Nothing.

After reporting the issue and submitting a formal complaint, I received two completely inadequate emails. Their solution? Send me additional rubbish bags and tell me to wait until the next scheduled collection.

Is this seriously what Manchester residents are paying Council Tax for?

I fulfil my responsibilities, pay my Council Tax and follow the Council’s rules. Yet the Council apparently cannot fulfil one of its most basic responsibilities or provide a reasonable explanation when things go wrong.

What concerns me most is not simply the missed collections, but the complete lack of accountability, meaningful communication and any apparent urgency to resolve the problem.

Residents should not have to repeatedly chase a public authority to receive basic services. Nor should they be expected to accept generic responses as a substitute for proper investigation and action.

I have now formally complained and will escalate the matter to the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman if it remains unresolved after the appropriate complaints process.

Public services should be accountable to the public. This standard of service is simply unacceptable.

I have tried to call about my council Taxi because of I am single person, but it’s charging me for double person. I don’t know why and we need to explain about this situation and she hung up the phone. This is really disrespect.

Having had a council tax d/d set up for many years I found that no money had been taken for 2 months so I phoned them & asked for an explanation. At the end of the call ( With several breaks where the Advisor had to seek help) I was told it was an unknown person to blame. It appears that someone registering to pay the tax '' Must have pressed an incorrect button inserting my house number. ODD or just LAX that no one at the council picked it up. End result I am reinstated but have to pay an extra £70 per month for their incompetence.

i have tried to get on the Ecitizen web site to see my council bills, I can log on to the banking system easier is is unbelievably complicated unhelpful and doesn't have a feedback button, I will call and start getting paper bills again. DO NOT USE IT.

Manchester Housing Solutions are a Waste of time.
They have no empathy and are heartless because they dont care about myself and my son.
They Wouldn't help us find a property knowing that we were victims of domestic abuse.
Now we are being forced to live in that property that has so many bad memories and adding to that environmental health have deemed the property to be unsafe to live in.
Living in this property is having a negative impact on our health and wellbeing.
As usual this council don't care and as far as they are concerned we don't exist and we can rot in this dump.

My brother passed away in the city centre of Manchester. The level of service we have had from the senior coroner Zac Golembeck is a disgrace he has no respect for the deceased or grieving families. Absolutely shocking service .

If you’re a British citizen don’t waste your time asking these people for help. I had a suicide attempt a week ago & I was told there’s no help at all and to sort things out myself. Absolutely disgusting.

Extremely disappointing experience as visitors to Manchester.

During our stay near the city centre, my partner was issued a £150 fine after being unwell and experiencing a coughing fit. Despite explaining the situation, and even after the original notice was issued incorrectly due to “human error,” there was absolutely no empathy, discretion, or willingness to consider the circumstances.

The process was rigid, dismissive, and caused significant stress and financial strain on our family. We ultimately felt pressured into paying just to bring the situation to an end.

This experience has left a very negative impression of Manchester. As tourists, we did not feel treated fairly or reasonably, and based on this, we would not return or recommend visiting.

My friend rang to get some information. It was on speakerphone and I heard the entire conversation. My friend is disabled. He has bipolar so he talks differently. But according to Manchester city council records office he's annoying. His normal voice was falsely equated with shouting. When he explained that he speaks like that due to his disability In a calm manner, that explanation was classed as screaming down the phone. So she could escalate her lies. Because it was clear that she wanted him off the phone. She then started actually shouting at him and when he tried to equal her he had to ask to speak to a manager. The staff member took the Mick and kept refusing. The manager eventually came and flat out refused to investigate. And when he tried to get the name of the horrendous staff member an "Incident" was invented and the phone was then handed to someone else with no explanation. The new person knew nothing and refused the name of the person he wanted to complain about. And just before she hung up on him she said to a disabled man... "I hope you get better". To a disabled man. I hope you get better. Manchester city council, we hate the disabled. Sort it or abort it Burnham. Absolute disgrace. Your staff are anti disabled, and I'm sorry but they are utterly nasty. Nasty pieces of work. Who take the Mick out of disabled people to their faces. They did it to him. We heard them.

Highly advise you not to use their parking services anywhere across Manchester. I paid over £13 to park in their Arndale car park. I paid using a machine on-site which rather than printing a ticket to be displayed, it sent an e-ticket, even though I hadnt provided an email to be sent to. I even double checked I had paid with the attendants, showed the payment on my bank statement there and then but then still received a ticket.

Their customer services is a joke. Rang up multiple times, sat on hold for ages to then get transferred to a unused line because they don't want to deal with the issue. I spoke to "Kashif" who got bored of my complaint and transferred me again to an unused line.

They make the appeals process unnecessarily difficult to try and make you pay & try and extort your personal details if you wish to make an appeal.

I went above and beyond to ensure I had paid but still not good enough for these scumbags. How this practise is legal I'll never understand.

Sold a property, paid off the council tax bill. Manchester City took the money but instructed a debt collecting ageny. The debt collevcting agency wont acvcept an email from me and manchester city council are impossible to contact. Its absolutely painfull

Little scroungers, lingering around cars, watching for less than a minute, ticketing them and running away. I got out to use a cash machine, no obstruction, slightly touching double yellows. Manchester is disgusting now and its 100% due to scroungy corporations like this one, I avoid the place like the plague.

The council tax system is a let down when people are already struggling, there are not enough agents to help with issues. When they say they will call back, they don't. They don't include all the numbers that people should call for help on the letters. If you have told an agent the website is down, they will still tell you to go on the website. If their service was helpful, maybe they wouldn't be getting so many complaints and calls.

I believe this charge has been issued unfairly and without proper consideration of the circumstances. The signage at the location was unclear/inadequate, and the terms and conditions were not sufficiently visible or understandable at the time of parking. As a result, I was not properly informed of any restrictions that would justify this charge.

Additionally, I find the amount being demanded to be disproportionate to the alleged breach. The handling of this matter has caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience.

Totally unprofessional team , not marks on parking no restrictions no barriers, they issues ticket for failure to park into correctly space for cars.

Appalling they do not empty bins for vulnerable neighbor of mine who struggles with this and I pushed the bin out and biffa refuse to empty it o have reported this to the council who are no help please rectify this and organize a collection to empty this due to their incompetence
