Anyone reading this may well be in the same situation that we were in 8 months ago. Up until then we three siblings were each taking it in turns to stay with our mum for about 10 days a month and were collectively becoming more stressed with the demanding nature of the increasingly chaotic daily routine and confronted by the ever continuing deterioration in mum’s condition.

Following a fall just before Christmas it was clear that we could no longer provide the level of care she needed but in conversation with mum over the previous years we knew she didn’t want to go into a care home and so it fell to me to try and arrange a live-in carer.

And quite frankly, it couldn’t have been any easier. I phoned Live-in Care Direct on a Sunday, expecting to leave a message for a return call but instead got straight through to Jason who immediately and empathetically understood our situation. By Tuesday lunchtime Kelly had arrived and confidently started organizing the household to facilitate mum’s homecoming and by Wednesday evening mum was out of hospital, back home and being looked after.

The contractual paperwork was straightforward and the few questions we had were answered comprehensively, making the whole arrangement totally stress-free. Eight months on I really can’t speak highly enough of the whole service and it’s such a relief to see mum cared for so well in the familiar surroundings of her own home.

Kelly is a real credit to Live-in Care Direct, totally competent, kind, compassionate and professional, mum clearly loves her and so do we.

Obviously it goes without saying that I thoroughly recommend Jason and his team but I’ll say it anyway and also take this opportunity to say thanks so much for the brilliant ongoing service and support, we really appreciate it.

I can thoroughly recommend Live-in Care Direct. Jason was able to find a live in carer for my mother, on her discharge from hospital, with only 24 hours notice. My mother was very frail and unable to walk more than a couple of steps. The carers were kind and professional and there were never any problems in respect of relief carers to cover time off. My mother was looked after very well and I had peace of mind knowing that there was always someone with her.

We had a wonderful carer called Elva care for my nan. She lived at my nans house for around 8 weeks she was the most loveliest caring and supportive lady. She showed such kindness and compassion to my nan and our family. Nan sadly passed away but the care that was provided was exceptional. We have found a friend for life. Having a live in carer was a massive help to our family and meant our nan could remain living in her own home safely. Elva was extremely knowledgeable and had many years of experience. My wife recently suffered a stroke and after being in hospital for almost 2 months she has finally returned home. Without the help of Live-in Care Direct this would not of been possible. We recently booked a carer for a fortnight at short notice from Live-in Care Direct. My carer turned out to be Sharon who travelled all the way from Essex to Manchester to look after me. She has been absolutely superb providing the exact level of care I needed. She is also a good cook too. We didn't know much about the care world and took a chance with this company. We made the right choice. They are very well organised.

I used a comparison site called compareliveincare.co.uk however its a scam as live-in care direct are the only firm on there. Its a funnel for them to get leads. They also state "Great news, We have found you the best provider at the lowest rate" which is misleading and I have reported them to the advertising standards agency

Within 24 hours of making contact -
and in urgent need - the wonderful carer moved into my parents’ home. My father has advanced dementia and my 86 year-old mother was looking after him and was refusing to have care. It was clear that 24 hour live-in care was essential but my mum couldn’t bear the idea of someone in her house. Within two hours of the amazing Elva arriving my mum began to relax. Two weeks on and my dad is being well cared for and so is my mum. Elva has brought kindness, warmth, love and calm into the house.

Urgent live in care needed in Devon for elderly mom having been let down by other agency. Response from Jason compassionate and effective and live in carer in place the next day and arranged with him in 3 hours.

We used a couple of organisations to help find an appropriate carer. I found live in care direct incredibly proactive and responsive. In the end we had a number of options and went with an ideal person using another care organisation but if I have any problems I would come straight back to Jason at live in care. Its wonderful to feel someone is acting speedily on your behalf particularly when you are under a lot of pressure

Have been with Live-in Care Direct for the past 7 months.I have found them to be professional and very helpful. I can contact them at any time and will receive a very quick response. We have 2 great carers that get on well with my disabled daughter and her 16 year old son who they care for. They feel like part of the family.

From the outset we have been impressed with the Live-in Care Direct team's courtesy, ability to understand the individual situation, and their speed with assisting. The carer and the relief carers arranged have worked well with looking after my mother who was living in significant pain and increasing disability due to a frequently delayed operation. As topics for attention appeared during the past 6 months of care, the team have acted quickly and with well thought out proposals. We all consider ourselves lucky to have found the company.

We contacted Jason during the pandemic to ask him to find suitable care for my elderly mother as she had recently come out of hospital and another organisation had provided a month of live in care but the placement had come to an end. I found him very responsive and understanding and able to find what we hoped was a suitable carer very quickly. It was a shame that the person he suggested didn't work out and as a result the experience put my mother off ever having someone living in again. This particular carer spent time on public transport, despite having her own car during a time of high infection which worried us but mainly the issue was that she was unresponsive to the needs of my mother, left early and the house was a muddle. If you have a bit of luck it may work out well but it is quite expensive and you are taking a gamble - but that may well be true of any organisation who relies on carers they don't know that well. We had to make other arrangements as a result so my experience wasn't was positive as I was hoping it would be.

What really stands out for us is that from the outset the service provided was very efficient, a breath of fresh air compared to some agencies we had previously used or approached. The friendly staff are always available and keen to help and are very organised. Also, and obviously of utmost importance, the care provided has been excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
