The Biltong is supposed to arrive next day. I placed 6 am on Thursday therefore should’ve been received Friday and in time for my family to watch the rugby. I ordered 2 kg of Biltong that only arrived late on Monday afternoon. When I emailed the Customer Service they just said they would look it up with the courier company and never got back to me. I sent them several other emails including me telling them I’m not happy with the level of Customer Service and after sales service and they haven’t bothered to reply for over a week. This Biltong used to be good over a year and a half ago when Fatima was the head of Customer Service. They couldn’t even be bothered to get back to you or do anything to rectify issues. This is not the first time I have emailed them with issues and they are not replying m. The consistency of the Chilli chutney biltong is not good sometimes it is way too spicy and has hardly any chutney flavour - really disappointing. I will not be buying from them again.

Avoid at all costs. My delivery never arrived. I followed it up & the delivery company and they provided me with a photo of my parcel on the shelf at the depot.

Someone benefitted from my £60 order from Limpopo.

No point phoning them because they don't pick up or answer calls, or emails for that matter.

Would never even consider using this rubbish outfit again, you have been warned.

I started with their dry meat batch which I liked, but started to want something different. I moved onto their medium moistness batch and it’s a game changer it’s so delicious. Highly recommend I can snack on this all day

Absolutely dreadful! Do not buy. Ordered 1kg of biltong it was alright first day and went inside the bin the next day. Poor quality old beef. They put so much garlic in there just to hide the smell of old meat.

Got some today first time trying it really good quality flavor and definitely worth getting I had the extreme chilly beef really nice and enjoyable can't wait to get some more

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews maybe they had some issues but my experience in Dec 2025 was delivery within 48hours. Good updates via auto emails and courier. Product is pretty tasty!I've had a lot of biltong but never full stick. Price is good and clear instructions on how to store.

First time buyer of any biltong, I was really impressed with the flavour and texture of the meat I had butchers choice medium id definitely buy again was a real treat protein hit cheers Limpopo

I can't believe these reviews, I've placed 5 orders from these guys and all have been faultless. Until now I can't fault them, I placed my latest order 2 days ago and its being delivered tomorrow.

I have bought 1kg bags of biltong sticks several times and when I complained that my latest batch was much tougher and much fattier than normal, was sent the reply pasted below. Despite Limpopo acknowledging they'd let me down, they didn't offer any other solution except that if I bought ANOTHER bag for £65 I might have 100% satisfaction. How is that good customer service? They paid a fortune to get me as a customer by taking out a stand at a running show, and now they have me, they don't care a fig about customer retention. Wasn't expecting a free bag, but perhaps a 250g bag as a sorry?

Thank you so much for taking the time to write — and I’m genuinely sorry this batch has disappointed you, especially given your need to keep things lean.

Just to reassure you: we haven’t changed our recipe or the grade of beef we use. However, with full sticks there can be natural variation, and occasionally a piece will have a more pronounced fat seam running through it even when selected as lean.

I’ve added a permanent note to your profile to hand-pick as lean as possible for all future orders (and to avoid pieces with visible fat seams). We’ll double-check before packing.

This biltong is awful. Snoggy’s/Best Biltong/Savannah are all much much better! And let’s not even mention the most embarrassing ambassador for South Africa being the pompous Brit who owns the Twickenham franchise. He has no sense of being South African at all. Ugh! Avoid this store in particular

AVOiD AVOID bought 2 lots of biltong order can on time but the biltong I received is no good to eat I have rang and left voicemail also several emails no response totally rubbish company

I found the biltong to be top quality, as someone who lived in south africe for a couple years it filled me with nostalgia becuase of how on point it was. I have no clue why the reviews are so poor on here, and i hope limpopo biltong keeps up the good work.

I bought a packet of Butcher's Choice Limpopo Biltong at the St Albans Beer Festival - I thought it was very expensive at £11, but as I was offered a bit by the stallholder, and thought the taste of the sample was pretty good, I went for it. However, when I ate the biltong from the packet, it was disgusting. The problem is that the fat is left on the meat, and you find yourself chewing a mouthful of fat, which is awful. I had to spit it out.

Delivery was late and after I left London. I tried to call several times but there was no reply. My sister sent the Biltong back when it arrived. I disputed the bill with Amex but Limpopo Biltong refused to credit my card. These guys are crooks, avoid at all cost.

Firstly, biltong is really good. So, I signed up for a recurring order as it’s cheaper that way. After the first 2 orders they removed the discount, which I didn’t realise for several months.
I got in touch with their customer service who promised to rectify this, then 2 days later they charged me for another order at full price. I got in touch again. Again they promised to dem with it, nothing happened, no further contact.
It’s a shame because I really like the product after trying many different ones from online vendors. Now I have to search again. While it is a good product, I’m sure there are others just as good, and I will not be coming back

We didn't need customer service, so I can't comment on that aspect of things. However, our order arrived really quickly, and the biltong is delicious - the best we've had since we moved to the UK 5 years ago.

Honestly I was apprehensive on the comments I have read but I can happily say I am exstatic with this product! It’s lean, it’s delicious and it’s amazing value for money! Arrived so quickly as well!! Will definitely shop here again! Thank you!!!! SO GOOD!!! X

Such a shame this company has no respect for its loyal clients, despite 3 emails and filling in their query form online I had no response to my query for nutritional values of their Biltong, it suggests a high carbohydrate content that they are not willing to share.
I have subsequently purchased elsewhere who provided the carbohydrate value very quickly indeed, disappointing company response ( or lack of)
Seems to be their normal behaviour according to several other reviews.

Worst biltong I’ve ever had. Pictures on website are beautiful. Product is awful. Butchers choice completely inedible. Had to spit nearly every bit into the bin. Customer service non existent. Ignored all communication. Don’t waste your money like I did.
