Price and delivery was great.
Pre-bike checks/service not quite the 5 star I was hoping for. Brakes are require either bleeding or topping up - Almost touching the handlebars before working - Now having to spend money on kit to carry this out myself. Had contacted about this, had 1 reply about brake model and then silence....

I’ve used leisure lakes for over 20 years, the service is consistently excellent, the staff, are brilliant consistently across all sites.

The owners and management do an amazing job, ensuring staff are knowledgeable, provide excellent service and advice; In person or mail-order, you feel valued!
You might find another bike shops very slightly cheaper for some parts when you search online, but the compromise will always be that the service will never be up to the industry-leading standard that the leisure likes set. (And that’s speaking from an ex cycle industry guy!!)

Great to deal with. Kept me informed every step of the process. Branch looks a bit run down from the outside but a great range of bikes and accessories inside. Helpful staff, would definitely recommend and use again.

Purchased my bike online and before dispatch I received a call to tell me the bike was cosmetically damaged. I was sent pics beforehand to decide if I wanted to keep it or not. I appreciated this as it would have spoiled ‘new bike day’ if it had just turned up damaged. I decided to keep it and they gave me £50 credit to use in the shop. All in all a good experience. Knocked off one star as there was a bit more damage than advised. This had not happened in transit as nothing could get near where it was marked, however after letting them know, they arranged for some touch up paint.

Bought a brand new bike, the gears weren't tuned very well, it was tubeless ready, they set the bike up as tubeless without any rim tape or sealant, and didn't install intertubes. I was not told this. Both tyres punctured within the first 3 days of having the bike because of this. The rear shock sag was set up with the compression turned on so bottomed out immediately with the compression off. Good price for the bike but terrible service and workmanship. Very disappointed.

I ordered a pair of 5:10 gortex from Southport branch and a young lad answered this morning, just to get a update as I’d received a email saying it’s on its way but the tracking wasn’t working. He says I’ll check in the back see if it’s been picked up as it was a Saturday order. He called me back after 10 minutes to confirm It was still there waiting to be picked up. Really nice lad and it’s the little things that make a good company very good. Very polite and really helpful so thank you young man it was appreciated
