I’ve been trying to cancel my membership for over a year now. Any and all email replies I receive are unhelpful. When I’ve been into the local gym they refuse to help me cancel my membership. At this point I’m going to have to flag their charges as fraud.

I only go there for the pool but the sanitary conditions have been getting worse. Smells like a farm all the time! Up your standards LA fitness!

Money grabbers, nothing human in them, Tamim, fake doctor and Alyssa, bad personal trainer, stay away from them. Very Bad customer service. Charged me over CDN$600 for 1.5 hour personal trainer fees with Alyssa after I asked to cancel the service due to past and future surgeries. Stay away from LA Fitness in Cambridge. I hope they will close them the same as Kitchener LA Fitness facility.

Edward, your front desk associate/manager from your 5730 NW 183rd St., Hialeah, FL 33015 location provided my wife and me with outstanding customer service (went above and beyond) as evidenced by ensuring us access to our LA Fitness location (Bayonne, NJ) and set up our scheduled yearly payment fee on Tues, 4/23,24 as a courtesy whereas majority of health clubs would enforce strict policies with no exceptions of utilizing any LA Fitness gym location unless payments of any past due fees are PIF. Edward made this process completely easy and effortless for us, ensuring we were absolutely taken care of and happy with his customer service hence our personal needs were met, which he succeeded. Yes and again, Edward exceeded our expectations and made us felt like he took good care of us "like family!" That being said, please acknowledge Edward for providing my wife and me with distinguished-outstanding customer service excellence as he exemplifies what the "elite and regal service industry" and what all other LA Fitness staff members (in all locations) needs to engrain and and ensure is always and consistently provided to all clients when providing customer service which I am confident will positively impact greatly in the long run for the LA Fitness brand name! The positive interaction and outstanding customer service that we received from Edward impacted positively my wife and I that we choose to continue to stay as loyal long-time clients of the LA Fitness Brand and not even consider switching to any other health club brand! Corporate, please ensure Edward is taken care of via receives any possible incentive: bonus and/or a raise on his salary or a trip getaway for his distinguished service excellence as he deserves it - can't thank you enough Edward! I recently asked a friend of mine to refer me to a personal trainer. They mentioned DERILL ROGERS (who works in the Bayonne, NJ location at 40 Goldsborough Drive) would be great, but since I was hesitant I asked my friend if I could watch their session from a distance. So, that is exactly what I did. I was actually disgusted by his terrible attitude and behavior. THERE SEEMEED TO BE A LOT OF INAPPROPRIATE TOUCHING!!!!!!! I really couldn't believe my eyes. Do yourself a favor and stay away from him and this location!!!!! I AM SOOOOOO DISGUSTED THIS ESTABLISHMENT HAS SOMEONE LIKE HIM WORKING HERE WITH HIS UNPROFESSIONALISM AND MISCONDUCT!!!!!!!

Location in Edison NJ has Treadmills and Weight machines that have been out of order for weeks and months in some cases. Despite asking management and calling Corporate Customer Service line, they have not been repaired and show no sense of urgency to get this done. Club is overcrowded so this is an issue

Wanted to give long overdue & well-earned kudos to Leticia, manager. I should mention I am a geezer, inherent in which is technological ineptness.
I went through months of no access to my phone or watch through Apple’s unmitigated incompetence, and therefore lost my check in ID on Phone and watch.
Laticia was like an angel! She did all she could to make my sign in effortless and expeditious, I’m sure over and above her job description!. This went on for months!
I was shocked when I found out Leticia was a manager, because I expected the manager to be hiding in the back, not up front & hands-on & even greets clients coming and going.
She is competent, professional, & a sweetheart to deal with !

Staff member J.R. Moise made our experience SUPER!!! He offered excellent customer service in a friendly, kind and compassionate manner. We were visiting from Ocala where we are regular gym people which he appreciated with no sales pressure and kind enough to offer us a one week pass if our stay was extended. His interaction with customers was very professional and motivational - he deserves solid recognition!

Every year they don’t have any AC the aerobics rooms are humid- can’t breathe when you complain to manager they will say they will resolve nothing ever gets done ✔️ there’s a gentleman name Mike he is rude just say nothing the can do
The restrooms are dirty, the aerobics classes floor is filthy , no sanitary wipes
We have to clean the gym our self’s.
Today I filed a complaint to Headquarters
With no resolution, they are good to take your monthly payment, maintenance fee
Don’t go to this gym. It’s disgusting 🤢
They lie and management hides , when we complain.

This is the nastiest Gym! I’ve called LAFitness Headquarters and sent an email with pictures of how nasty the bathrooms are …all the lockers broken into …and how old, torn and scratched up the furniture and equipment is …and nothing has been done. There are also no cameras for their customers’ safety. Seems they are only interested in taking people’s money and will not fix, clean or replace anything.

WOW! I can't believe a company like this can still exist in the age of online reviews. A bunch of shameless criminals!

when you join LA Fitness, they will push you to take personal trainer. but beware, by the push of the button they will enroll you for personal trainer and they tell you that you can cancel anytime you want. the catch is, if you want to cancel the personal training you need to send a letter to their PO BOX number. by the time you realize, they will charge you for another month and then you know they did not receive the letter. THIS IS A SCAM .. you have to go to the facility to talk to them and most of the time the manager will not be there, and the employee will take your information and phone number saying that the manager will call. you will never get call from the manager. after several trips to the facility they will finally cancel.

This la fitness in Denton Texas was the most terrible gym I’ve ever been to. The Jacuzzi was dark in liquid and a bad smell in the entire facility. Trash everywhere. What organizations overlook at these gyms?

I'm leaving LA Fitness. The location nearest me is the junction location in West Seattle. For the past several months they have had a major problem with the music system, and they do not seem able or willing to fix it. The problem: the music is constantly tuned to two (2) sources, playing simultaneously, each at equal volume. Imagine sitting between two speakers, each playing completely different, but equally aggressive music. That is my experience at LA Fitness. I have talked to the manager about it several times. He's aware of the problem, and apparently many people have complained about this. But he says they can't turn it off, as the company that runs LA Fitness insists on music. But the sound is INSANE. I cannot bear to be in the room with this psychotic blend of music going: it feels like my brain is literally being torn in half. I don't have headphones or earbuds, nor should I be required to wear them in order to be able to have a good workout. After months of complaining and months of 'We're looking into it' I'm out.

As long as I'm ripping them a new one I'll add this. When my husband and I joined several years ago, the sales person promised us the moon. They said we could go to *any* LA Fitness, and that we would have unlimited guest passes. Neither of these turned out to be true - we can only go to the LA Fitness locations in Washington State. We didn't find this out until we tried to access other locations when we were on vacation. When my husband brought this to the attention of the manager at the time, his response was 'Well he was wrong and he doesn't work here any more.' That gave us major pause, but figured the club was decent enough, and we could pay to go to clubs outside of Washington state when necessary. But now that this location is now impossible for me to work out in, I'm out. We're both out.

The basketball court is great! Play there almost everyday. No Problems!

Convinced they hire the meanest managers you could possibly find. If the manager is mean and has an attitude you can just imagine their employees... everyday you go in they don't care about you and bi-weekly we get a message on the app to "rate our club".. the way their demeaner changes and EVERYTIME they beg for a good review because it gives them a bonus (even though some of the machines are broken, bathrooms are not clean, and the attitude..) and when you do it they're looking at your phone to see what you put. Twice now they took my phone and did the review for me because I keep saying "I don't see it." This is the Gaithersburg LA fitness on clopper rd.
Only reason I am at this gym is because I moved and this is the closest to my house. If you are in the Germantown MD area I highly recommend Anytime Fitness on leman farm rd. the owner is always there, ALWAYS cleaning and overall just a positive environment. I plan on going back to anytime at the end of the year

We go to the gym located in Huntingdon Valley, PA. It has to be the most unsanitary gym in the country. They have been understaffed for years, even prior to COVID. If you see anybody cleaning, it's a miracle. Even after they clean, it's still filthy. The management could care less. No matter how many times you speak with them, nothing happens. Total lip service. The locker rooms are pathetic. Some of the lockers are loaded with garbage for months. They never get cleaned. The floors of the gym and locker rooms are always disgusting. I wish the PA Dept of Health would pay them a visit!

I went to the Warden and Eglington location. Before covid the staff were fun and friendly. Other than the girls at the desk the assistant manager or who ever she is, is a piece of sh.. She is rude. I asked her why the pool is always down and other clubs don't have problems. She wouldn't look at me at said well, this isn't other places. I quit. The power wash the showers while you're swimming which is so annoying. I think they just hire anyone. Apparently she's the assistant manager. She's the black employee there. I guess they get desperate on who they hire. No customer service skills what so ever. I miss the old staff 😪 date of incident is not accurate. Head office are useless. One guy at the head office made fun of me when I told him what happened. He wouldn't put me through to a manager either

LA Fitness personnel trainner contract is a scam, since I started in the first few weeks they have changed five different trainers and on top of that those trainers work not show up on time so r they would leave early, and some days they didn’t show up and every time they say they would fix it and they never did so I ask to cancel my contract and the person that works in La sent an email but they kept taking money from my credit card called corporate and spoke to David song and he said that he refused to cancel the contract, I threatened to go to court but they seemed not worried
Now not only I am going to take them to court but I am going to expose them in the Media too
