Review:
I have a freightliner, sprinter van and want a key fob made.
Terrible customer service. I called to get a quote for a key fob, and they told me a technician would call me back. When he finally called—about 45 minutes to an hour later—I missed the call. Because of that, I was told I’d have to schedule another appointment just to speak to someone for a simple quote.

I asked if I really needed to reschedule just to get a price, and they confirmed that was the only option. Frustrated, I checked my missed calls and called back, explaining that I just needed a quote. The technician then said he’d have to transfer me to customer service. I told him I didn’t need customer service, just a price—at which point he hung up on me.

This company is completely unprofessional. If you value your time, avoid them. I do not recommend their service at all.

If I could give them a zero, I would.

Do not use Keyme locksmiths! I had a nightmare experience. I was told 80 dollars to open 1 screen door as long as it's simple. After 5 minutes to open. He wanted $150 + $14 tax for a total of $164. Then we started arguing and he insulted me calling me cheap. In the end I gave the guy 150 dollars just to get him off my property. He hardly knew English, sounded Russian, and was rude the whole time. Complained to Keyme and they told me I have to call another company. Keyme is shady, the company they hire is shady, and the people that show up are shady. Stay away for your own safety!

Yes, the locksmith opened our door but I asked the price on the phone and he said $80-$150. $80 for low end and $150 if it’s higher end and need to do something to the door. He proceeded to unlock the door in 1 minute and charge $150. I asked why and he said they charge for miles and minutes. But on the phone he said it was $80 to come to my home. Super shady. I wouldn’t use them again.

I made three copies of our front door key. Only one worked and it didn’t work smoothly. $20 for one inferior key. I had the same key copied twice at Lowe’s for a lot less per key and didn’t have to pay extra to have them deburred. The Lowe’s key’s were made of much heavier metal and worked exactly as well as the original. I suggested to the Walmart that maybe they should repot this to their corporate quality department. BAD experience!

I just finished reading all the negative reviews. I add mine to them. BEWARE. I had a service call scheduled by a KeyMe representative. No show. When I called back the person on the phone said they have no technicians in the area and no record of my previous communication and appointment. Judging from the reviews I just read, I'm lucky that no one showed up. I strongly recommend that you do not utilize this organizaion.

I waited over two hours in the freezing cold in the dark at 3:30 in the morning by myself as a single woman and the dispatcher said a technician would call me shortly and they never called. This company is ridiculous.

I would like to add that I called them to discuss the matter and they were extremely rude and dismissive and I can’t emphasize enough. Do not use this company. One of their contractors called me five days later to see if I needed help lol five days I would’ve been dead idiot

I order 3 keys and paid 33 dollars. They don't match the key I put in the machine. I got pictures. It came in the mail with metal broken cuts. All 3 keys where cut differently. They promise 3-5 Buniess days but it took weeks to come. They reject refunds even when I got picture proof and their 100% wrong. Better off telling FTC about their bs.

They do not even deserve 1 star. We called them after our keys we locked in our car during negative degree whether. First the representative on the phone quoted us more then thr website did for the service. When we asked about the price difference he quickly lowered to the websites quote. They then charged our card 165 dollars and guaranteed a locksmith would be there in 30 minutes. After 20 minutes of waiting we recieved a text notification stating that they could not find anyone and that they would refund our money and we would see it in 3 to 5 businesses days. The only problem with that is now our money is tied up in the banking system and we no longer have the money to hire a different locksmith. All because they charged us before they had insured a locksmith was available. We then spend the next hour and a half on the phone with their customer service, who failed to realize how big of an issue they had just created and refused to help. Instead they just kept stating they were returning the money. They are not a reputable service. Your better off calling a 24 hour local tow service then using this company.

Do not call them. They dispatch out to other locksmiths in the area and don't take responsibility for the locksmiths dishonest behavior. Once you have a bad experience, you don't have customer service to talk to at KeyMe, you have a dispatch company they use that doesn't care and doesn't help you. I got charged $1021 for a locksmith to open a door and put on a doorknob. He quoted me $350 and the doorknob was one I already had. KeyMe did nothing to help resolve the issue.

Beware of these scammers! A first he wanted $275/door to change 5 locks. I refused. Got a call stating they would do the job for $500 total. I agreed. He did'nt have a double cylinder deadbolt to replace the original so he needed to use a standard deadbolt, but because its near a window, the door could be opened if the glass was broken by a burglar. He wants $150 to come back to put in a proper double cylinder lock.BEWARE!

Used their kiosk, gave me 4 blank keys and 1 working one. No receipt either.

There wasn't any order# sent to my phone.
I ordered 3 keys, got 2. Texted for assistance and got response that asked me to enter my order #. 😔 Well rehearsed corporate fraud. How do I complain without an order #?!!

They tell you a price and then afterwards they demand 4 times more even though the job took 3 minutes. Total scam.

I am extremely disappointed with KeyMe's service. I placed an order for keys on January 4th, 2025, expecting them to arrive within the promised 3-5 business days. Not only has my order been delayed twice already, but the company has made no genuine effort to resolve the issue. When I contacted customer service and asked for expedited shipping due to their repeated delays, they outright refused and offered no viable solution. Instead, I received yet another generic message informing me of yet another delay.

This lack of accountability and customer care is unacceptable, especially for something as critical as keys. I don’t understand what’s going wrong with their system, but I strongly advise others to avoid this service if you need timely delivery or even basic customer support.

KeyMe, please get your act together and deliver my order immediately. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.

Was offered a buy two keys get one free promotion. I ordered three keys. I only got 1/3 keys and the cost of the other two keys was refunded to my card. I ended up paying close to 13 dollars for just a teal key. Lowe's has designer keys including NFL ones for mor more than $7. Save your money and time and go to Lowe's to get your key copied.

They say keys are supposed to ship the same day if ordered before noon. I ordered my key last week and still they haven't shipped my key, i emailed them and it will be at least 3 days, before it ships. I wish I had never used them. This is terrible service. No discount or refund for being so drastically late. It should be arriving by now. I should have gone to Walmart!

Locked my keys in car. Took them less than 10 min to get in and charged me $265. Was not happy. That is outrageous. You are a scamming company. I could of broken out my window for that. Will never use this company again.

he was respectful on the phone and in person. i forget his name but he has a higher voice, thick accent, light eyes (maybe blue?), and sagged jeans. i told the person on the phone 3 times i have a for two smart car. $120 for the key fob replacement and they were responsive by texts which i was thankful for but my whole day was wasted thinking they knew the car i had. i think they said 420 car? not too sure but it wasn’t a smart car. when i was asking if he could do it for the same price that he had told me originally, he didn’t even let me finish my sentence and declined.

I ordered there service the caller said it would be an hour before a locksmith could get out there, waited almost 2 hours before the locksmith called and said he was on the way it would be about 45 min for him to arrive. The caller nor the locksmith gave a price. The locksmith arrived and preformed the service and proceeded to tell me it was $238. I asked why it was so much because the call was placed well before 10pm. Locksmith told me they don't charge for time they charge for experience. I told him if I knew it would be $238 I would have called Pop-A-Lock who only charges a flat rate of $80. VERY unhappy with the service and would not recommend to anyone. This business is a scam.

BEWARE - SCAM! This company is a total scam. You may call them to request a locksmith because you locked yourself out of your residence only for them to scam you! They will act friendly and tell you not to worry, then proceed to get you to pay for the service ($250 in my case) and wait for a phone call from the locksmith. You’ll never receive a phone call and then they will either tell you that there isn’t a locksmith available in your area or pressure you to cancel for $80!
