I approached KDE because I had used them in the past and had a relatively positive experience. The work was a simple domestic job to replace a kitchen socket, a couple of replacement smoke detectors and to investigate an outside security light. No one arrived on the day it was booked for, a Friday, and I had no phone call. Two technicians arrived unannounced on the Monday when, fortunately, we were at home. The main work took 1 hour, with one of them mostly holding the ladder. I was somewhat surprised to find the technicians still sat in their van outside my house an hour later. When I queried this, and asked if I was still being billed for 4 hours, I got sent tracking details for the van to show it was on site for that time. All fine then!!

I have had no sensible response regarding this so, in the end, decided to pay up for the full hours instead rather than waste further time with them on this. I hope this review is useful to anybody else considering using their services - perhaps get them to bill for the actual time taken rather than an inflated/obfuscated estimate. Or, better still, look elsewhere.

Always a great job done. All the jobs I have had done. The staff and individuals sent out to repair or install. Each and everyone pleasant and respectful and happy with work carried out. Would highly recommend.

We had 3 lads visit our property to fix some new sockets in our kitchen. They were very professional and just lovely lads in general. Very happy with our new sockets and they cleaned everything up afterwards which was perfect. Thanks so much!

Extremely efficient and knowledgeable, also explained the problems and what he was doing to rectify the problems.

KDE installed a new boiler for us last year which we have been very happy with, today's visit was to give it it's first service.
The engineer turned up on time was polite and did a full service on the boiler, when the service was completed the engineer made sure everything was clean and tidy before he left.

I have used KDE f since 2016 and have found them to be very reliable and competent in their work, in electrical, plumbing and bathroom installation.

I was happy with the prompt response to a problem with a gas boiler. The fault was identified, the replacement ordered and fitted on the date given.

Absolute Rip Off!
We were charged almost £1000 for a bit of electric work. They came initially to carry out the EICR and found a defect. That cost about £160. Then they came back to investigate where the issue was (which my husband had already discovered in half an hour) However that cost us another £200. Then they came back to fix the issue and that cost us over £500! just to put an armoured cable around the house! We would NEVER use them again. They simply overcharge! Such a rip off Avoid if you don't want to be ripped off!

KDE responds promptly and efficiently when they are needed. Staff are courteous, helpful and get on with the job competently. Today a KDE plumber visited to help diagnose a very elusive leak. After thorough investigation, a number of possible sources were ruled out and options were suggested for further monitoring. A useful visit: professional, knowledgeable and pleasant.

The engineer phoned before arriving and was punctual. He quickly diagnosed the problem and had the required part with him. Very quickly put things right and reconnected the Hive controller. Well mannered and pleasant individual. Very pleased with the service.
