Junction 17 Cars 

I cannot recommend Junction 17 Cars based on my experience.

I part-exchanged my car in good faith, trusting the promises that were made to me. Unfortunately, after the sale was completed, those promises quickly became meaningless. I have spent far too much time chasing money that I was assured would be paid.

I am still owed £7,600 for my part exchange, along with the £25 reimbursement for the missing V5C and £128.78 for the air conditioning re-gas that I had to pay for myself. Despite repeated assurances that payment was “being processed” or would be sent, nothing materialised. Communication has been poor, and I have been left constantly having to follow up instead of the dealership honouring its commitments.

The whole experience has been stressful, frustrating and completely avoidable. Buying a car should be an exciting experience, not one that leaves you chasing thousands of pounds that you are contractually owed.

Customer service doesn’t end when the paperwork is signed. Integrity, honesty and keeping your word are what define a reputable dealership, and in my experience, Junction 17 Cars has failed on all counts.

I sincerely hope they resolve this matter immediately, but until they do, I would strongly advise anyone considering buying from or selling to this dealership to proceed with extreme caution. Based on my experience, I would not return or recommend them to anyone.

Update. Payment has now been recived after numerous phone calls & emails, and they treat of legal action. Honestly, avoid this company. Buy your used cars elsewhere.

We had an outstanding experience buying our car mercedes Aclass for wife. From the very first conversation with Leonardo the seller.He is honest, professional, and genuinely cared about helping us find the right vehicle. He never put us under any pressure and answered every question with patience and transparency. It's rare to meet someone who is not only an excellent car seller but also a genuinely kind and trustworthy person.
A special thank you also goes to the mechanic Cam, who was incredibly knowledgeable and always happy to give honest advice. He took the time to explain everything clearly. The ceramic coating he applied was completed to an exceptionally high standard, and the finish looks absolutely fantastic.

My experience with Junction 17 was extremely disappointing from start to finish.

We travelled to Junction 17 to purchase a vehicle that we had seen advertised online. Unfortunately, shortly after leaving the dealership, the vehicle developed an engine fault and went into limp mode. We returned it to Junction 17 almost immediately and left the vehicle with them.

From that point onwards, the experience became a lengthy and frustrating process. We informed Junction 17 that we wished to reject the vehicle due to the fault that occurred almost immediately after collection. We repeatedly requested a diagnostic report so we could understand the cause of the fault before any repairs were carried out. We even offered to arrange, at our own expense, for an RAC-registered mechanic to carry out an independent diagnostic inspection, but we did not receive a response to that offer.

Communication throughout the process was, in my experience, poor. We spent many weeks chasing updates by phone and email and often found ourselves having to pursue matters rather than receiving proactive communication. As we were unable to resolve the issue directly with Junction 17, we sought assistance from our finance company. After nearly 12 weeks with little progress, we referred the matter to the Financial Ombudsman. Within a relatively short period after the Ombudsman’s involvement, the vehicle was rejected, the finance was settled, and our part-exchange vehicle was returned to us.

A further issue arose when our documents were returned. Junction 17 had possession of our vehicle’s log book, owner’s manual, service history and receipts. While the service history was returned, the owner’s manual and folder were not. We raised this with the dealership, but we were informed that they had no record of it. I cannot say what happened to it, but it has never been returned to us, which was extremely disappointing.

In my opinion, this entire experience demonstrated poor communication, an unnecessarily prolonged resolution process, and inadequate care when handling customers’ property. While I appreciate that problems can arise with any used vehicle, I believe the way those problems are managed is what defines good customer service. Unfortunately, based on my experience, Junction 17 fell well below my expectations.

This review reflects my own personal experience and is based on my correspondence, telephone records and the outcome of the dispute. Others may have a different experience, but I would not choose to use Junction 17 again.

Bought a used BMW today, very good experience, didn’t get quite what I would have liked for my trade in, but not unreasonable. Very well dealt with by Philip, most professional, Also spoke with the boss. They have great stock. Can fully recommend.

⭐☆☆☆☆ 1 Star – Avoid at all costs

Our experience with Junction 17, as i cant give names i have proceeded with out but he in particular, has been absolutely unacceptable.

We had owned the car for just two days before the first fault became apparent. The vehicle was returned to Junction 17 for repairs and remained there for approximately five weeks. We were assured that all the necessary repairs had been completed and that the vehicle was fixed.

Just four weeks later, the vehicle had to go back because many of the same faults were still present. Once again, we were told the repairs had been carried out. However, after obtaining an independent inspection, it became clear that several of the repairs we had been told were completed had either not been carried out or had not been completed properly. This has left us facing further repair costs for work that should have been done correctly in the first place.

To make matters worse, he has continually failed to provide a clear list of what work was actually carried out, despite repeated requests. Our emails and phone calls have largely been ignored, leaving us to chase for updates and basic information throughout the entire process.

What should have been an exciting purchase has turned into months of stress, inconvenience and financial loss. Instead of enjoying the car, we have spent our time dealing with repeated garage visits, independent inspections, repair estimates and an ongoing dispute.

Based on our experience, I would not recommend Junction 17 to anyone. The standard of workmanship, communication and customer service we received has been extremely poor, and we have completely lost confidence in both the garage and the repairs they carried out.

Jamie has been brilliant from start to finish, pleasure to deal with.

Recently purchased a fantastic car from this dealership. The salesman who looked after us was Leo pistone. He was very friendly and helpful. There was absolutely no pressure salesman from his part. He gave us the keys and left us to our devices. He was close by to answer questions about the car. our experience was fantastic. Benny the other salesman manager played his part to. These pair went the extra mile for us.

Very disappointed with the experience i had from junction 17. I had a truck in mind and was going through a finance check, awaiting a call back which never came. I kept calling to be told the guy dealing with it was busy, I put a hold on the vehicle which they cancelled and someone else put a hold on the truck which they could do nothing about. I kept asking to speak to a manager and they said he was either moving vehicles around or was off site. Very disappointed and will not use this company in the future. Be warned!

Awesome experience, the whole process was super easy and fast, and Nathan did a fantastic job explaining everything. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS GARAGE

I would not even rate this a one star if I didn’t have to.

I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from this garage to proceed with extreme caution.

My partner and I purchased a car from this dealership a few months ago for £27,000. Although we felt the vehicle was already overpriced, we were specifically looking for this model and decided to proceed with the purchase.

Before buying the vehicle, we asked numerous questions regarding the warranty. Unfortunately, the responses we received were vague and consisted largely of general assurances that led us to believe that any issues would be covered. It was only after the purchase that we discovered this was not the case.

Approximately one month after taking ownership of the vehicle, a fault developed. We contacted the dealership immediately and were advised to return the car to them, as the issue had been reported within the 30-day period during which faults could be addressed. We were assured that the repair would be carried out free of charge and that the vehicle would be returned to us once fixed.

However, when the car was returned, the fault had not been resolved. After further discussions with the dealership, I was informed that I was not entitled to a refund despite having reported the issue within the relevant timeframe. Following extensive back-and-forth communication with staff, I was simply told that refunds were something they “don’t do.”

This response was both disappointing and unacceptable. As a result of the ongoing issues with this vehicle, I have now lost over £6,000.

The poor communication, lack of transparency regarding warranty coverage, failure to properly rectify the reported fault, and dismissive attitude towards customer rights have left me extremely dissatisfied.

I would urge potential customers to carefully consider their options before purchasing a vehicle from this garage, regardless of how desirable the vehicle may seem. The risk is not worth it.

I have the car back and they have put it straight back on their website. For anyone interested in the i8 (I can provide the number plate upon request) please rethink your choice, I would not want anyone to end up with the same issues I have faced.

Can’t really fault the service I got . Great communication throughout and James the guy I was dealing with was a really nice guy. I initially went to see a 4 series BM . James put me onto a 330 e which he suggested would be worth thinking about with my short commute to work but the one I ended up getting was in Derby which James sorted with a few nice upgrades . Probably paid a bit over the odds for the car but you get what you pay for and the car is stunning .. very happy

Firstly I would purchase from a different garage ,information given we could get drive away insurance no problem this was a problem causing 40 mins frantically trying too get cover so we could drive over 3 hours home ,sale guy approached asking if we had insurance I said we don’t he walked away no help at all car was not valeted even though we have put deposit on this car a week prior! He said we can do this after we had been there over an hour which we declined as we had such a long journey back we had no time too wait I believe this should have been done on or before our arrival we now returned home & the car needs a servicing we where told all services are up too date & yes I did look briefly I believed the guy saying all was serviced .On returning home called garage too be sent wrong information I find they don’t pass relevant information & are nit helpful at all use a different garage !!!!

Very positive experience with James today. He was refreshingly honest and straightforward . Also very good experience online and on the telephone with Ellie.
