I visited The Unicorn in Bramley with my friend on Saturday 1st August we sat outside in the sun and ordered drinks via the app. The sun was intense so we moved indoors. I then ordered food we waited ages no food arrived I asked the manager Paul where our food was he said it had been taken outside he would not refund me my money. He said I could reorder but I wasnt going to pay more money. He was rude so my friend and I left £10.35 lighter. Itll be a while before I go back there .

Andrew the Manager at Percy shaw Halifax is a complete idiot! Asked 3 couples a total of six people all over 50 years old are we are stupid for laughing? He was rude said we could leave???? Why???? No response when I asked his nam he refused to give it and said pointing to his badge it’s manager! This took place 24/07/2020 the Percy shaw Halifax at 16.17pm?Andrew then stood hovering over our table using words like pathetic he had no reason whatsoever to pick on us. He had no reason with nothing to back up anything he had to say, we are there we drank respectfully and responsible kept our own company and as we always do behaved ourselves.
I tried to speak to Andrew on leaving he said get out love your lucky I didn’t chuck you out? Why? He said get out or you are barred? I again asked why he said do I need to make you leave? I have never been asked to leave anywhere I have never been spoken to as he did. He needs to check his anger and go on a few courses about how to treat guests.
Aggressive in his manner standing over us in a total bullying manner. What an absolute uneducated rude young man who totally spoilt our night to the point his staff apologised called him an idiot abd said he was pathetic! I love Wetherspoons the brand this particular incident was rude uncalled for and in the poorest taste Andrew you are a disgrace to the company you work for.

Just has a crap experience in weatherspoons scunthorpe. Ordered 3 meals two of which had to returned as meat was almost raw. No apologies. No attentive staff. No customer care. If you want go for a family meal and watch each person eat on there own while you wait for your meal to put right this is the place to go. Never again...one star is two much but software will not allow zero. Spent time addressing covid but have forgotten how to cook..

Due to the unfortunate circumstances during these difficult times, socialising is a no no, therefore we're left to our own tables for company and more often than not that is not the 'vibe' most people want. So when left to our devices (quite literally) the TV's provide single entertainment. This is practically useless whilst being muted, WITHOUT subtitles. Also for those hard of hearing have been excluded prior to the situation or not. Quite frankly, disappointed, but not surprised.

Ordered food and drink from the golden lion in Rochester, foodno complaints nice and arrived within 10 minutes 40 mins later I'm still waiting for our drinks. What an absolute joke, as a bar manager myself I would under no circumstances (don't matter how busy) would i make a customer wait that long for a drink. They encourage you to order from the app but what's the point when its prob quicker to queue! As I'm writing this i am still waiting for my drinks which has now been 45 mins!! Weatherspoons you are a shire of sh** and would never ever use one of your establishments again. 1 star is too much for you
I would like to bring to your attention…
I would like to bring to your attention the awful and demoralising behaviour my Uncle has experienced in one of your pubs this week.
My Uncle has been going to The Mannamead pub (Mutley plain, Plymouth) on a weekly, and sometimes daily basis for over 30 years. He is an elderly, single man who enjoys going to your pub to get out of his house, not feel alone and to generally boost his own mental health.
This week however, he was turned away by one of your employees because HE WAS ALONE, and was told this would take up a table that could sit 4 people, this is absolutely disgusting. I was mortified when he told me he could not come in because he doesn’t know anyone inside. Who, i ask, do your staff think they are? He has been drinking in that pub for longer than a lot of those employees have been alive. I would also like to add, this is not one of your “peak times” you state on your website it was a time when it is mentioned that anyone is welcome.
I ask, how is this a policy of wetherspoons, who are meant to be a welcoming and enjoyable place for people to go.
I completely understand the guidelines that are in place, with social distancing etc but how can one of your policies be that if someone is ALONE they cannot enter the pub. If this is a wetherspoons policy, please explain the understanding behind this, as I cannot in any way see how this can be justified.
This is the saddest policy I have ever heard if this is one for all wetherspoons pubs, I am trying to believe that this is not a policy and is just one horrible employee that has been hired and is discriminating against an elderly man who is alone. My uncle has spent months in lockdown alone and was pleased when the pubs reopened as this is where he spends his time.
I honestly can’t put into words how upset and shocked I was to hear he could not go for a quiet drink where he attended on an almost daily basis before lockdown.
My Unlce lives 6 hours away from my family so us going with him to sort this out is not feasible, so I would appreciate it if this bizarre and shocking issue was cleared up with The Mannamead pub and my Uncle was not refused entry the next time he tries to go
The Regent experience
The Regent, Kirkby in Ashfield.
Went wrapped up as usually cold there, but pub still too cold to enjoy. A couple of tables of families with screaming kids, maybe a zone for families with kids would help. When we arrived a few tables available that were cleared, but hadn't been wiped. Had to ask for a table to be wiped. Apart from the table being dirty I would have thought that Covid-19 would mean more attention to preparing empty tables.
Moan over - the food and drink were as good as always. I continue to praise Wethersoons for their consistency with food and drink. Just wanted to give a shout out to bar staff member Sam. We've seen him working there on previous visits and noticed how particularly hard he was working this evening, but still managed to be efficient, courteous and friendly.
Covid no idea
I have just been to the Wetherspoons in Whitby. Yesterday the pub was full today they were stopping people going in. The poor young man on the door was unsure, drinkers were aloud in but taking tables for people waiting to eat. Inside there were signs not to move tables, yet some people were only 2 ft apart. They told us we were queuing due to short staff and cleaning tables, we were taken to a table but then people seem to come in randomly and sit where they liked, no tables were cleaned. Get your act together and put someone on the door with experience who can stop people walking in.

Went to the weatherspoons in Great Yarmouth for abit of lunch now I no it’s a limited menu but most things were not available. If you have this you should at least make sure your not going to run out of things. The service was not much better either basically chucked our food on the table and had to call him back to ask for sauce etc!
Joke of a company
Joke of a company. Doesn’t care about employees safety at all especially during the current situation. As a former manager I have first hand experience at how dreadful the policies are. But the recent events take the biscuit. My heavily pregnant girlfriend works for the company and isn’t meant to leave the house. She was made to go in for a meeting and the made her wait 2 hours before even seeing her. Disappointed that they could be so disgraceful

But this disgusting company run by the ever arrogant and shameless Tim Martin has decided to tell his 40,000 strong workforce to go and get jobs in Tesco while we go through the biggest national crisis in living memory.
