Not sure how this is legal. I thought I was on the IRS website enter all my personal information then was asked for a credit card number. I knew this was wrong because EINs are free. I did not pay but my information including social was input

A very questionable website
I went online and began to complete the application. When I realized they were not the IRS I attempted to erase my information. The site immediately returned to their home page. With everything else reported about this company. Where can this situation be reported

Misleading website - - they are not the IRS and their service is valueless

This business gives you what you pay for, a tax payer ID number from the IRS. Unfortunately, I paid for something that I could have gotten for FREE if I had applied directly with the IRS. By the time I read the tiny fine print admitting that the IRS does the same thing the company does for FREE, they had already sent me the new tax payer ID. I screwed up! Be careful out there.

I Got Excellent Customer Service. I hear what everyone else is saying on the 1 star reviews and I feared that would happen to me .. but in my case I realized my mistake - having given them my social security number, credit card number, everything about me by mistake thinking they were the IRS then figuring out after the deed was done that they were not the IRS .. so emailed to cancel the service and get a refund and heard nothing back .. meanwhile I called the credit card company, rescinded the transaction, placed a credit freeze with all 3 credit bureaus, went on the IRS website the moment they opened up at 5am my time and registered my business myself as they only allow 1 EIN business registration per day per person (and this mistaken transaction of mine had happened over the weekend when the IRS were not operating) .. then I emailed this company again to explain I had rescinded the transaction with the credit card company, registered the business myself and would they be so kind as to cancel the service and delete my details from their system, explaining how worried I was I had shared all this info with them thinking they were the IRS not a random stranger on the internet .. and I immediately got a reply saying the transaction was refunded, my details deleted and they said they had not shared my details with a third party. I feel lucky I got such a great response. Very grateful for them being nice like that. Advice for others who make the same mistake as me - follow my steps above .. be nice in your communications with this company, try and register your business with the IRS before this company follow through with the service because once they have provided the service for you I doubt you are getting a refund as a service has now been provided, rescind the transaction with the credit card company explaining the mistake and go freeze your credit with equifax, experian and transunion as a precautionary measure. Lies and thieves. They present their site as the IRS with the same letters and colors. intentional fraud. IRS EIN numbers are free! They make you believe the government is now charging. And you are giving these random people your business info. I was extremely unwell and tired and it was 5am so I was not paying attention but this is not right! And anyone filing as a 3rd party to your business falsely should be charged and prosecuted. Do not use the number they give you! Even if you paid for it by their deception have nothing to do with the number and let the IRS know you were a victim of fraud!!!

Wow I really should have been more careful what site I typed my SSN into, but this does seem to be a legit business rather than a scam thankfully. When I realized it wasn't the IRS website after the transaction, I emailed them asking for my personal information to be deleted from their system and they issued me a full refund and told me that they deleted my personal information.

This site is a scam to trick you into paying for an EIN. Mimics the real IRS site and hides the required disclaimer in barely visible text. Wouldn't be surprised it they sold people's info to thieves.

If I could give 0 I would, they said they were able to match my details to the EIN, charged the $250 said they would refund, they didn’t, they never answer the phone or emails after that. I had to open a claim and I am still trying to get my money back. Horrible, please people read reviews before giving your credit card details!!!

This company is a scam! They make you believe you are on the IRS website but charge you $269 even though the IRS gives you an EIN for FREE! Go to irs.gov for a free EIN directly with the IRS.

This site is a fraud and a scam. They lead you to believe that are teh IRS responsible for tax id numbers at cost of $300. In fact, they are impersonating the IRS and you can get a tax id number from the IRS for free. Google feeds the scam by listing this service as #1 when you search for how to get IRS EIN tax number. DON"T USE THIS SITE. Go to IRS.gov directly

Put in for an EIN. Thought was the IRS website. I put it in late at night. I called at 8 the next morning and the message said they did not open till 9. When I called at 9 to cancel they said the EIN was already submitted at 7:00 am. So it seems they send the information before you even have a chance to cancel. I even sent them an email from the website last night. they have it all figured out so they can be sure they get your money. Please do not fall for this.

A few months back my business is struggling with some consistency and I'm stuck in these troubles one of my friends suggest me to get some business solutions from Govt Assist LLC. I'm very much disappointed with his suggestion and once I talk to my wife about business and tell her about the suggestion given my friend and my wife guide me to try it once after discussion I visit Govt Assist LLC office and literally they convert my thought and they explain me about my business with details and proofs that what can you do. And it really works. I'm really thankful to my friend who suggests me Govt Assist llc, I think every business owner who is struggling have to take a piece of advice to grow their business from Govt Assist LLC.

I fell for this too. Was doing this on my phone and hadn't realized that the website wasn't what I had previously seen for the IRS until it was too late and I had paid. To top it off they never sent me my EIN. So they charge for a service that is otherwise free and they don't do anything for you. TOTAL SCAM. I changed my bank card to be safe. lesson learned.

As a small business, it was heartbreaking to lose that money. Also their website looks so much like the colors of the IRS.GOV website!! They said they'd cancel my order and issue a refund and I'm still waiting. Throws me to voicemail when I call.

I did not realize that it does not cost to get a EIN number for your business. I should have done better research on this and now I am out of money due to it. I plan to report this company and get my credit card company to dispute the charges.

This company is not associated with the IRS.My employee filed for an EIN not knowing that we already had one. I called the IRS and found out it was not them and was told THAT EIN numbers are FREE.
I called the company and they would not give a full refund or even a partial. The person there MARCUS loves to talk and reads a script and would not put any other person on the phone .He also Hung up on me TWICE

If I could give no stars would. Horrific experience!!!!! My father was duped into paying for an EIN number for an irrevocable trust. He is elderly and was completely scammed online, as many of you already attest to - their website looks the same as the official IRS.gov. He needed help for one issue as the official IRS website was vague, Googled it which took you to their scam pages, first in line of course - thanks to most likely paid SEO algorithms - was grieving and nervous after an untimely death in the family and that is how a poor old man got scammed. He just assumed the IRS would charge $245.00 for an EIN number, despite it being free. Disgusting this company exists and preys on the vulnerable. Google should ban them from the internet!!!!! Worst of all, this company asks for your social security number. That means they can do whatever they want with that info after processing. With a birthdate, SSN, and a home address, the criminal world is open. And they are NOT a company that should have ANYONES' SSN!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is truely criminal!!! So next day, I immediately put a freeze on my father's credit, cancelled the credit card used to order the EIN, and called the credit card company to dispute the charges. Next day, tried calling, to no avail, but left an elaborate message warning them I would report them to the Better Business Bureau (not a very good site now and unresponsive), but more importantly, I reported them to the Federal Trade Commission as recommended by the IRS. I suggest ALL of you do the same. As a business, they should NOT exist.

After several more days, I called this 'company' and spoke to a gentleman named Marcus who hung up on me several times. I was angry and completely pissed off, but as a customer representative or owner (?), he argued back and offered no help, no refund, no nothing. Just basically a your fault explanation. What 'legitimate' company does that in USA???!!! Right, none. I warned them and Marcus that if I see, hear of any compromised info on my father on the dark web or any fake opened accounts, that I will hold them personally responsible. I suggest you ALL do the same. NO ONE, absolutely NO ONE should be asking for your SSN but financial or the official IRS period. Period. Credit card company also said they got no response from them but will continue investigation. Make sure your credit card company has all your info and make sure you keep all your documents, emails, voice recordings, etc. to bring any action against this company if needed. At a minimum, you can show this evidence to the IRS, other law enforcements entities. They frequently change addresses, numbers, etc. Of course! Let me give you their current address and number:
