Excellent. Attended DIY course with Martin. Would highly recommend. Great for beginners. We got through alot in the day and learned how to use power tools and tackle diy jobs. Martin was very helpful and knowledgeable.

I am just learning DIY and starting to make bits amd pieces and the people in here have been so helpful with getting wood cut and choosing which things I need! Also doing the DIY workshop and it is excellent, would highly recommend!

I attended the DIY academy training day here. It was fantastic from start to finish. I learnt far more than I had expected to and the camaraderie in the class and with Martin the teacher made it a total pleasure. We were given a very warm welcome by Karen from Irish building supply to start. Their selection of tools etc and experience was second to none. I would highly recommend.

I attended a one-day workshop by DIY Academy hosted in Irish Building Supply store today. The workshop was excellent, lots of practical skills, professional advice and tips, with a wide array of DIY knowledge put forth, and has given me great confidence. Well worth attending. The store was well represented at the workshop, and offered a lot of support as well. I will definitely order from them in the future, especially knowing it is a family business. A day very well spent!

This was a very well organised and prepared course. The tutors were excellent, clear and concise in their delivery of instruction. Their encouragement gave me confidence to participate and to use the knowledge gained. Lovely welcome on arrival with nice cuppa and beautiful lunch. Thank you for a wonderful day.

I'm so glad I attended the DIY workshop. I learned so much. I will definitely use the skills and tricks we were taught. The staff were so knowledgable, helpful and fun. The lunch, graduation and goodie bags were great. Brilliant value for money and a day well spent. Thanks everyone at the DIY academy.

Attending DIY Academy has been an incredibly empowering experience. I gained hands-on skills, built confidence using tools I once found intimidating, and felt fully supported in a welcoming and encouraging environment. I would highly recommend this course to any woman ready to take on home DIY.

What an absolutely brilliant day. Martin and Eoin were great craic and made the learning so much fun. DIY is so much more accessible than you realise, but that's only because of the effort that they have put into creating such a fantastic workshop. We got hands on practice with everything, and I can definitely say that everyone left feeling much more confident about taking on some DIY. Not only do we now know how to do things, but we also know how to fix them when they go wrong too! Thanks so much again for a brill few hours

I attended the DIY workshop for women today (July 2025). It was excellent and I would highly recommend it. Really well organised, loads of information covered alongside practical experience for all of us on each topic. Lots of tips relating to techniques and also products and tools. We all had practice using drills, jigsaws, sanders etc. I came away feeling confident that I can tackle multiple DIY items on my list now - which is a first! Being added to a whatsapp group for future questions is also an excellent idea. Thanks very much Karen, Martin & Eoin for the whole event - the training - and the craic! Who knew learning about DIY could be such fun! :)
