I employed IQ glass to replace an existing glass passageway. It has been a disaster from start to finish.
I employed them and paid a deposit in Aug 2021. The process was slow and definitely not helped by the fact that 4 integral people who were working on my project left the company. After an initial site visit we were told we had to remove our existing passageway for them to make accurate measurements. We did this in February so we had a temporary plywood construction from then onwards. Their surveyor made a number of visits after this in conjunction with our builder to decide how best to construct the new passageway. When they finally came to install the steels some were missing and others could not be used. The door frame was also too big (this was now Sept ‘22).When I complained to the installer he showed me the plans he was using were dated Oct 21. So in spite of our removal of the passageway and multiple surveyor visits this information was not used to update the plans.
I tried to complain but no one ever phoned me back.
I sacked IQ after this and finally a manager did contact me. He said I could not have any money back but he would contact me the following week to see if they could help. They never contacted me again. In total I paid IQ £18,000 for a few steels.
Please don’t make my mistake but use someone else.

Very informative, very interactive, presentation was personalised to our needs. Well presented and a pleasant hour with an experienced presenter.

The seminar allowed us to make a more informed transition from the glossy brochure imagery of contemporary architecture and glazing to practical information on maximum sheet sizes, balustrade protection, ground level drainage channels, testing criteria for wind loads, impact resistance and thermal performance.

It was very useful to learn about the company's bespoke glazing capabilities and 'anything is possible attitude'.
The products were undoubtedly very high quality and the innovative glazing systems interesting to learn about.
Imagery showing applications and finished product in situation including past projects was very good.

CPD did come across as being company promotional first and education second. Would have liked to have seen more information relating to the manufacture process and inside the factory (machinery, skilled workers etc).
Additionally more information on the instillation process including images of large glass being fitted and the on site logistics of making this happen.
Finally there could have been something on sustainability and the environment which was not mentioned at all and these days should always be a consideration of manufacturers.

We had a tricky design in a glass link which took a number of pre visits to ensure it was right. Even on install there were challenges. Everyone that turned up was a specialist in their own area and knew their stuff. Office comms were excellent and no waiting time for a response. Not sure many companies could have done what they did. Scratched pane could have been installed and we might not have noticed but the installer did and wouldn’t fit it.that’s quality !

Refurbishing our house has to be the hardest thing my husband and I have ever done (and we have two young children, so that should say it all).

Amongst all the other stresses, working with IQ was by far the best/easiest part. IQ provided an incredible service throughout, offering support and guidance and always, going over and above to assist.

IQ communicated with us, our architect and our builder every step of the way. Always offering pragmatic and sound solutions.

IQ are incredibly professional, but also, take the time to understand your personal requirements for the space you are trying to create.

The IQ team have been a pleasure to work with - from the sales and technical team to the fitters on site, (whose attention to detail and work ethic is second to none).

Last (but not least) the glass and slimline profiles look amazing. Everyone that sees the windows are wowed by how slick they look. The windows are by far our best purchase and have transformed our living space.

We had a largely a glass extension six years ago. IQ Glass did the design and supplied the glass but a local builder constructed the base, one wall and the roof. The glass cost £30,000 and the builder’s price was similar but recently a valuer said that it had boosted the house value by at least £100,000. After some confusion in the early stages everything went well and we spend almost all our time in the extension. Amazingly, unlike our old conservatory, in spite of having south facing glass, it is not too hot in summer and is comfortable in winter. There has been no deterioration in the years of its life.

First class service IQ glass and in particular from Paul and his 2 sons Nathan & Joshua. Not only have they done a brilliant job, they have been the most pleasant, polite & friendly workmen we have encountered throughout our (many) renovations. We have really enjoyed having them at our home to replace the windows & doors to the highest standards despite a few unforeseen problems. They have been particularly respectful with a view to us hearing no bad language & keeping a clean & tidy site. They have also made a positive impression on friends & neighbours who have commented on their work & friendliness. They have, however had the biggest impact on our English Bulldog Peggy who has absolutely loved seeing them & being fussed each morning & who is now missing having them around…..

Ordered fire rated glazing for interiors. The whole execution from order through to installation was very poor. There was a lack of responsiveness and communication. Terrible delay of 6 months with no compensation! Really not recommended.

In 2019 I instructed IQ Glass to supply and install Tri-folding door as part of a larger project. The larger project dominated the PM part which I will write in a different comment section.

Unfortunately, the door frame was not installed correctly. IQ Glass was notified soon after installation, but the returning team failed to notice the miss-alignment of the frame.

I have now presented IQ glass with an independent report noting the miss-alignment, but there is still resistance on their part to rectify the installation error.

I will keep this post updated with progress of this case.

From the first contact with the team at IQ Glass at the height of the pandemic, the service has been excellent. We settled on the Sieger slim sight line windows and were pleased to discover that they were made in their own factory in the UK. We were kept updated throughout the process and the windows were manufactured and ready on the agreed date. The installation team were all excellent. We had a minor issue with levels but that was quickly resolved on site. The attention to detail was exemplary and the windows fitted perfectly first time. At the end of the day, the team also ensured that all of their spare material and waste was collected up and placed in the skip, unlike many contractors. A great job well done and we are delighted with the finished product.

We bought sliding doors from IQ as we loved their product as it looked great. However, the whole execution from order through to installation was very poor. There was a lack of responsiveness and communication was poor which was not helped with continual changes of people assigned to work on the project. At no point did we feel we were actually a paying client.It was only in the final stages when a Project manager was assigned ( Thank you - Alex) did things improve and progress was made. However we are now 6 weeks since installation and the maintenance team have had to visit twice to fix fundamental problems like the door lock not working! In summary despite loving the product it has not been a good experience from a company who are not cheap!

IQ have been exceptionally helpful in delivering high quality products.
They have an eye for detail and a shared vision of the quality required for my projects.
I won’t hesitate to use IQ for future project and I give them my highest recommendation.

We had a great experience with IQ Glass for our converted barn in Cumbria. They designed and fitted 3 small windows and 2 big sets of patio doors. Everything went to plan and we were kept informed throughout the process. The fitting team arrived on the day we had been told and were a great bunch of guys (Paul Hunt and his team). They were very professional and friendly. We were impressed that they cleaned the windows before giving us a handover. We would use them again and would definitely recommend.

IQ did a fantastic job with all our glass for our new build meeting all the challenges that a bespoke design required as well as difficult site access. We had structural glass roof lights as well as sliding doors and minimal framed windows, all of which went in perfectly. The finish is stunning and I would especially like to thank the excellent project managers for the southwest, Alan and Dan, who gave us the reassurance we needed, it couldn't have happened without their attentiveness and the aftercare was first rate. All in all, exactly the outcome we required for our contemporary design.

IQ glass have just finished and I must say it was worth the money. They aren’t cheap when compared to local competitors but the finish is absolutely brilliant. The installation was a 5metre long x 2 metre wide lean-to glass roof covering with a glass to glass junction onto the a vertical pane at the back of the house. It took a long time to come together because they fitted the vertical panel and then took the final dimensions for the roof glazing, however, I think they were right to do so in maintaining a flawless finish. I would fully recommend this company

WARNING!!! Do not use this company. !!! They are Toxic and you will regret ever dealing with them. High prices does not guarantee quality. Steer clear. I wanted to give NO STARs. Reach out if anyone wants the facts.

I started my project in 2017, it was a £2m glass box rooftop extension in Shoreditch, London. I had IQ design the glazing, windows and skylight project. Est project costs £350K+ They absolutely screwed everything up. The project times went over by months. We closed a red route London street down for a full crane lift on a weekday and IQ delivered only half the order. Which they categorically told us was going to be delivered, but was not. Cost me an extra day Crane lift and I lost 2months. Which meant I had to pay overages in all other areas. Project management and communication was terrible.

Once materials were on site, the problems got worse. I was fitting 6m sliding door, 4 section sliding door. Their fitters, when they eventually arrived, bodged the sliding doors install by completely cutting through the balcony subfloor membrane. Let me repeat, they couldn't fit the frame over-measured by 10-15mm, so cut away the waterproof subfloor back to the wood/steel frame. They then patched it up without letting my general contractor know. So only 6months later did we find water damage leaking downstairs into another person flat. It cost me a fortune to repair the flat below and extended my build project again. I had to first find the issue and the argue blame with the roofing company. I was seeking help from both companies, only the roofing company were honest, trying to solve. The IQ project manager was dismissive, pushing back and being obtuse. When we eventually ripped up the whole floor across the back of this 6m installation, the roofing contractor pointed out the poor quality of the roofing felt that had been laid. It was clearly patching over a correction that he never made. We explored further and pulled out of the frame around the sliding doors 300mm x 80mm of mastic, trying to seal into a cover. It was touching the raw wood of the frame and on the other-side showed the logo indentations of the frame manufactures. They'd tried to cover the cut from the subfloor membrane. This issue cost me thousands, in physical costs and time lost. IQ didn't help in anyway.

That isn't the end of it.

IQ also installed a 4m x 2.5m skylight, sitting over our hall and staircase and opened out onto our rooftop. They were the main contractor and we had no idea there was any subcontractor. The subcontracted company were called Natralight, from West Bromwich. From day one the roof-light only worked intermittently. I never had a sustained period of operation without issue. It's been 2.5 years and the mechanism constantly breaks. The roof randomly closes when they're is no rain. It opens itself. And most recently has just stopped working. I have tried over 2.5 years to get IQ to take responsibility for their contract and they have suddenly introduced and pushed blame to Natralight to fix. Now I have a situation were both blame each other and I am left with no solution. I spent a fortune with IQ and I have been left in the cold. My lovely penthouse flat, a lifetime of work to get myself into a position to build such a beautiful home and its been ruined by IQ. I don't have access to my roof garden.

I full suspect IQ to reply and only talking about Natralight. They will ignore all other issues and like all responses in these complaints, brush over the actual complaint to play the PR game. Hey, they'll probably spell the name wrong to throw you off which company it is?

Look somewhere else please. Going back now through my old photos to pull out all the evidence to share.

Designing a new build in Cheshire in the wake of Brexit and then Covid for the past two years has seen the build go through many challenges. These challenges still continue, but dealing with Dan from iQ Glass made a big difference. We are dealing with many suppliers, and Dan and iQ glass really stand out as being very professional and reliable in their approach. If he said he was going to call - he called, and if he couldn't he told me when he could. I felt as if our project would be in a safe pair of hands, and will get delivered when they say it will be delivered. This is only the first stage of working with them, but so far the service has been outstanding.

We can't complain about the quality of the product, but there were constant add ons which increased the price markedly and was never made clear at the time of placing the order.
Over the past month we have been trying to order an extra item, but despite numerous calls each week nobody within the company is ever available or prepared to phone back. The attitude is very much we have your money now go away.
This means that the over all experience of dealing with IQ Glass has not been what one would expect of a company offering a high quality bespoke product.

I sympathise with Paul's situation in one of the prior reviews. We visited the showroom and indeed it does look sleek. The product looked great there and we were sold on a price point that was lower than some competitors. Dream looking good at this point....
Unfortunately, once funds were handed over and it was time for executing on 'The Grand Design' things went south rapidly.
1) A roof light was out of square and wider at one end.
2) Balustrade panels were fitted in the wrong place. 3) Scratched glass removing and refitting. Stating it would polish out, but it didn't.
4) Had to revisit to fix the fitting plates as they weren't tight to the glass.
5) Came out to ease the doors and didn't identify that they were binding because their glass was slipping down.
6) Glass has dropped and water enters the property meaning the client has to get up every morning that it rains with a mop to clear the mess from the internal floor. We are now left in a situation that an alternative firm will have to be sourced to rectify the issues at a hefty cost......
I can't review the Customer Service, i'm sure the reasons are clear! Other reviews of individual members of the team would be inappropriate, so best left alone. The title of the review says everything.... Mark
