The trip was wonderful and everthing ran so smoothly. Our guide , Akemi Nozawa, was perfect,well organized,and so very thoughtful. She made the trip !

Superb experience! Inside Japan did a terrific job planning every single detail of our trip, which made for a seamless experience once we got to Japan. The variety of activities, the quality of the tour guides, and the pre-departure informational material that IJ provided were all top notch. Highly recommended

I called a lot of agents before speaking to Tristan. We couldn't find a package took us where we wanted to go, we wanted the to explore Japan by ourselves but wanted the reassurance of someone with inside knowledge and to advise us and organise the logistics. Tristan was excellent. I had some ideas of places to visit, things to see and do, Tristan and I had a chat, exchanged a few emails and within a few days, I received an itinerary that included everything I'd had in mind, but quite a lot that fitted the brief, but that I didnt know about despite months of research.
We stayed in 9 different hotels. They were a mixture of modern and traditional. Most hotels were located within walking distance or a short walk from local transport networks and many in walking distance of temples, gardens, districts with character. Spectacular views etc.
I could write an awful lot of good things about Tristan and the team at Inside Japan Tours. Their knowledge, professionalism excellent customer service. The planning, prior to the trip, the support during is all taken care of extremely well. So we knew we were in safe hands and the one tiny glitch we had with our mobile Wi-Fi router (or more accur, my inability to use it properly) was resolved very quickly by their support team.
I can't speak highly enough of the organisation or the faxt that they clearly know inside Japan, inside out and that inside knowledge provided us with some memories of a lifetime that wwe likely would not have seen.
I would recommend anyone thinking of going to Japan. Especially for a bespoke experience like we did to definitely them a try. I personally would recommend them to anyone.

My nephew and I were both visiting Japan for the first time. The one thing we really, really, really wanted to do was watch the sun rise from the summit of Mount Fuji. Since this can be difficult to sort out, I needed help organizing our trip. Our consultant, Joseph Galica, had lived in Japan and hiked Mount Fuji. He listened to what my nephew and I were interested in experiencing, and he put together an AMAZING two-week itinerary. This included independent travel, but some organized transportation and guided tours as well. We will both be going back, and I will definitely be using InsideJapan Tours again.

Inside Japan were incredibly helpful and patient with us right through the whole process from selecting a tour, tailoring it to suit our specific interests and even allowing us to change our minds a few times! The quality of information provided was excellent and all the train, bus and gallery tickets were there waiting for us at our first hotel along with the mobile internet hub. It all went without a hitch and we cannot praise them highly enough.

Although a First World Country the culture is so different it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the experience. But the carefully planned itinerary and the support of the locally based guides made the whole trip enjoyable and memorable. I would love to go back!

My husband and I utilized the expertise of Inside Japans agent Karin Tompkins to customize our Journey and it was Spectacular! Karin asked all the right questions of us to ascertain who we were and what our priorities were in Travel… And after several conversations back-and-forth, she designed two weeks of perfect days and nights! We have traveled extensively, and yet this will rise to the top of our favorite adventures. We will certainly be going back and we will again invite the assistance of insight, Japan that made it seamless and memorable.!

Inside Japan were brilliant. In order to arrange a special 3 week Japan trip I made enquiries of 3 companies. Inside Japan were not only the most responsive, but also the most cost effective.
We discussed their suggestion of where to go as well as my ideas and Will Gooding planned a great itinerary. which he was happy to then discuss and tweak. We were self-guiding - not a tour - and the logistics were brilliantly organised by Will - trains, busses and seats booked; hotels chosen and destination guides giving ideas of what to see and do as well as good "local" information. Amazing trip. Thank you!

Inside Japan provides a thoughtful, curated visit to Japan guided by experienced individuals with excellent people skills. It's a good balance of parts of contemporary Japan, as well it's culture and history.

From start to finish I couldn't rate our experience higher on our first trip to Japan . We went on the holiday of a lifetime and the itinary and documentation and all the guides were great . Everything was thought of , our tickets , what train station we needed . All planned with precision . We needed to change one of our hotels prior to departure ....this wasn't a problem and easily handled and sorted . A big thanks to Will who did his absolute best to make sure we had a wonderful time . I can highly recommend inside Japan

We had Inside Japan recommended, we had not visited Japan before, normally we travel independently, as we were a little apprehensive travelling Japan, we had very little knowledge of the country, we felt happier with assistance.
After our first conversation with IJ we felt confident we had found a company we could work with.
The option of how much input / help we wanted suited our style of traveling, the balance of travelling independently with support of hotels and transport sorted suited us very well.
Our trip was discussed in detail and the agenda set, great recommendations for places to visit and things to do made the planning a great part of the trip.
The hotels were in the right places, central to where we needed to be, the rail travel was superbly organized.
We felt the whole trip was excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend Inside Japan.

Everything from the planning to the actual trip was nearly flawless.

Our agent was very knowledgeable, listened to what we wanted and didn't want and created an itinerary that was perfect.
The accommodation was a mix of traditional and modern and,always clean and comfortable. All train journeys were prebooked and tickets provided. We received excellent cultural inside knowledge from Inside Japan which was very helpful. It gave us confidence to access more traditional experiences.

A perfect vacation, well organised from A to Z. Fully delivered on our wishes places to visit, local guides, transport pick ups & tour documentation not to mention hotels wifi device etc etc
