Great for freelancers and those just dipping into self-employment
I was recommended to inniAccounts by a friend who had already spoken highly of them.
All correspondence by phone and email has always been very professional and insightful for keeping everything check with regard to HMRC, deadlines for payments and returns, and general updates about legislation affecting limited companies or the self-employed.
The software takes a bit of time to get used to, but it's very well done - especially useful for collating and collecting information about the workings of your company :)

InniAccounts makes running a business easy and foolproof. They take all the worry out of filing returns correctly and on time, as well as giving you a real-time view of your finances so you are never hit with unexpected TAX bills etc. They are always ahead of the game and there to explain the relevant parts of the ever-changing HMRC rules so you don't have to spent more time being an accountant than doing your actual job.

inniAccounts are a brilliant company - the software is super easy to use and makes book-keeping the easiest it can be. They are constantly innovating too, with a new app to make it easy to do the accounts on the go. The customer support is second-to-none and they are so proactive in making sure we are always working in the most tax efficient way and answering our questions quickly. It's a comfort to know they are on top of the official paperwork, meaning I don't have to worry that we are complying with all the relevant regulations. I would unhesitatingly recommend them to anyone.

Great software, personal service
I have just made the move to contracting from permanent, which is obviously quite a nerve wracking experience with lots of new things to learn and small but significant decisions to make. I wanted to use software like Free Agent, but wasn't sure how to choose an accountant. They all seem to have roughly similar fees, and it's either a large online accountant which lacks personal service, or a small nameless accountant you know little about. A friend recommended inniAccounts, and I was persuaded by their reviews on here to give them a shot. I tested the software using the demo, and spoke to someone on chat who answered my questions. The combination of the software, and what seems like a small company setup by contractors to serve contractor needs, appealed.
The reality of my experience (after 2 months) has been really good. The software is good - it looks good overall, and the tax information, and personal tax planner, make it all so much easier and takes the guess work and stress out of the situation, meaning you know exactly how much you have spare. I used Barclays in order to get the automatic feed, and I like the overall experience.
You get a personal accountant (mine is Jake) and my experience has been that all my (often daft or impatient) questions are answered promptly and professionally, with clear information. The mobile app is good, although i would like to be able to create the transaction in the same wizard as uploading the receipt (you have to upload the receipt, then create the transaction, then go online to marry the two. And you can't do business bank transactions, only personal ones. It would be nice if it was a single experience for any type of transaction, although i appreciate from the back end perspective this may be difficult to achieve), but that is a minor quibble, compared to what life would be like without it (I shudder to think what life with boxes of receipts and annual trips to the accountants office must have been like, plus trying to figure out how much money in the account was actually available.
One feature I love - you can put in repeating transactions (EG a target amount you want to pay in to a pension, or annual subscriptions) and it auto budgets for you each month, taking that commitment in to account when you look to see your available balance. EG a 12000 annual fee is broken down in to 1k a month. Really helpful.
Some people may have more complex requirements, but for someone like me who is entering the contract market and needs clear simple personalised advice from people who understand my needs, I couldn't recommend them enough!

A highlight for me was you spotted the benefit of having an accountancy service and software being developed under one roof. We made this decision over a decade ago and never looked back. It allows us to deliver a service that is impossible for other accountants to match.
