IMVU permanently banned my 16 years old account for madeup reasons. They sent me mail : "Your account has been permanently disabled due to its association with a group engaged in creating content that violates IMVU’s guidelines." . I had creator account but i never upload any product and i never sell anything on IMVU. When i contacted they sent me another mail : "Your account is associated with a ring of users defrauding IMVU"

These are complete madeup reasons. I'm from Turkey, i'm using same PC, same IP for years, there is no any safety issues, i never shared my account and in 16 years nothing happened, never banned etc. but when Turkey banned IMVU my account banned permanently, what a coincidence !. All my purchases, credits, friend list gone suddenly. I'm not US citizen but i'm doing research for sueing IMVU.

It has become less of a game and more of a display of the crash of humanity, where broke men spin tales of non-existent fortunes and women feign affection for virtual clothing. The chatrooms are a theatre of desperation, filled with overweight socially inept individuals just addicted enough to nostalgia to keep this game alive. Stay away.

where to start off? customer support is completely non-existent and you receive emails stating to expect responses within 24-72 hours but there is no support staff to assist at all and your ticket is left open until YOU close it. overall, if you have problems with it, dont bother with customer support as there dont have any, which is the main assumption. i can see this is not just an issue with me and i can see it is a widely held fact about it.

Não consigo acessar minha conta ou até mesmo alterar a senha, pois informa que está suspensa. Já abri vários tickets e já encaminhei dados e documentos solicitados, obtive a resposta que a conta foi reativada e que está tudo certo, porém ainda não consigo acessar.

Customer Support is Non-existent, Sexual Content EVERYWHERE even without AP, Spam is absolutely horrendous, mobile app is terrible as IMVU has about 7 official accounts constantly messaging you and unless you turn off notifications, (Blocking Friend Messages & Invites Aswell) you will constantly be bombarded by messages thinking it could be a friend reaching out? No it's an ad! 90% of the "Free Credit Offers" do not pay out, ask for WAAAY too much personal information, I've been trying to un-delete my account with customer support for 2 weeks now (I voluntarily deleted it) it's been 10 days since thier last response despite numerous attempts to reach them.

IMVU ban people if they are in a room and someone says something that someone thinks is an adult statement, totally subjective. They never show evidence, take 2 weeks to answer a ticket and just say TOS.
There are no rules, not even guidelines. There are people from different countrys and cultures, yet IMVU staff know what is allowed and not, but there is nothing written down, so how do you know what is and is not allowed.
IMVU are continually banning people who cannot appeal. IMVU are the accuser, the prosecutor, the judge, and executioner, and you, the customer, the user, have to shut up and do as the IMVU gods say.
In a few months, like mnay other users it is bye bye IMVU and hello second life.
IMVU is sexist, racist, homophobic and full of paedophiles who catfish and chase teens, and IMVU allow it and do nothing to stop it which they could do in 1 line of programming. Maybe the CEP Kevin Henshaw is a paedophile and an abuser of teens and that is why he allows his company to run in such a terrible way.

I’ve created account multiple times (after deleting them each time). It gets boring. Before you think of joining you should bear in mind that people that do/say very nasty and disgusting things so you need to be mentally strong. Try and stay out of drama because you’ll be dragged into it. Keep your circle small. Unfortunately, It’s a platform that gives people the pass to do whatever they want to someone behind the screen. I have a current account only because my friend wanted to play it. I’m more active on it now but people have not changed. Men are harassing women all the time. People posting real life pics of someone they have beef with. Never share images with anyone because if something goes wrong, you can be a victim. I don’t understand why actions exist (like slapping on stomping). It’s a form of bullying and embarrassing. IMVU say they are serious on bullying but definitely not. It needs to be heavily moderated.

REMOVE THE MOBILE APP!! This may reduce the amount of catfishes and children.
Make this app only available to PC users and make age requirement 25 plus. The young adults are using other peoples pictures from random Instagrams. This should be for mature people only. STOP THE POSTING OF REAL PICTURES!! If you want to show who behind your avatar use IMVU INSTAGRAM.

Harmful scam that takes advantage of many people. App stores need to close it, immediately. They are doing rug pulls from under people who makes orders, and they refuse to explain details or negotiate. I demand full refunds because I didn't get what I paid for after the account removal. Plain & simple. I might aim for emotional duress too, because of broken promises that you've caused.

Bin so wütend wirklich bin seit langer Zeit gesperrt weil ich eine Zahlung getätigt habe habe ihnen alles belegt das es von mir kam und ich werde einfach nicht entsperrt sondern im Gegenteil es wird immer mehr erfragt !!! Ich hab die Schnauze voll !!!

There is also a double standard, where something as simple as a hug was considered inappropriate, yet guns and blood were allowed. Due to the possibility of lack of security regarding our personal data, many of us used false birthdates, even if we paid for age verification.

Now, all our accounts are blocked, and we can’t do anything about it because IMVU expects us to remember or keep old email accounts, some of which have been active for over 20 years. They don't care about any evidence we provide, they simply ignore it and force us to lose our accounts, inventory, credits, etc.

And we are not alone in this. The truth is, it wasn’t worth it before, and even less so now.

Le support est à vomir, le pire que j'ai vu de ma vie, ultra lent, seulement en anglais, et le pire si vous avez été ban, ou que vous avez désactivé votre compte pour un moment, vous pouvez seulement les contacter en créant un autre compte, stupide.
Vous pouvez vous faire ban sans raison, la dernière fois j'ai pris un ban, quand j'ai contacté le support, on m'a répondu, désolé c'est une erreur, ha oui bravo.
Quand vous demandez la raison et les preuves du ban, ils font les morts en disant "on a des preuves" ok dans ce cas, il faut prouver à la personne, ce n'est pas que dans un sens.
Il y a de moins en moins de monde, surtout francophone.

If I could rate this zero stars, I would. Banned my account for 24 hours, because I apparently said something inappropriate in a GA room. I do not visit GA rooms, so I questioned this decision. They immediately reversed the ban, but still accused me of the misdeed. I asked for proof, wanting the evidence they are using. They refused to provide this, claiming it was sensitive information ((Which was apparently my own words)). They are a shady company, who will happily take your money, but provide zero actual customer service. Apparently the next time they claim something happened, I get a permanent ban. I cancelled my VIP, and they are never getting another penny of my money. I warn other against the same

IMVU will be Sued one day if it hasn't already.They do nothing about bullying or harassment,Sexual harassment or minors being able to access this game.As long as they get paid nothing else matters‼️ Parents beware,I know parents who's kids have run away from home,met up with older men and women from the game thinking they were the same age. Any product with the words Daddy and role playing to that effect is with pedophiles on the game. You can get threatened on the game and there are influencers that look you up and then harass you. This game isn't doing anything towards keeping kids under 12 from playing. Should be against the law just as with selling alcohol to minors‼️

Könnte man 0 Sterne geben, ich würde es tun. Der Support ist sehr schlecht. Ohne VIP wartet man sehr lange auf eine Antwort.

Außerdem bekommt man von dem Support nur wage Informationen. Hilfe kann man hier nicht erwarten.

Ich habe meinen Account dort seit 2011. Vor etwa ein bis zwei Wochen wurde mein Account auf Hold On gestellt. Darauf hin schrieb ich den Support an. Die meinten es es hätte eine Zurückbuchung gegeben. Darauf hin reichte ich alle Belege ein, um zu Beweisen das es bezahlt ist. Das ist es auch. Es war eine direkt Online-Überweisung, ein zurück buchen für mich unmöglich. Ich rief bei meiner Bank an, es gab aber keine Probleme beim buchen des Geldes, Ich schrieb Paymentwall, auch die bestätigten die Transaktion.

Mein Geld ist weg, eine Dienstleistung habe ich dafür bis heute nicht gesehen. Ich denke darüber nach den Account zu wechseln und zur Konkurrenz zu gehen. Secound Life.

Ich habe erneut Paymentwall angeschrieben, warte noch hoffungsvoll auf ein Update. Ich fühle mich um mein Geld betrogen. 30 € für VIP unwiderruflich weg.

Today, both my account and my boyfriend's accounts were put on hold due to a $5 payment issue on my boyfriend's (separate) account. I have been a loyal customer of imvu's for years. They've made a lot of money off of me… They should not have blocked my account to force his payment through.

We both called to verify our identity. After our separate identities were verified, they should have handled our accounts separately. Instead, both accounts remained locked. First of all, it's not secure to treat two accounts as one and share information about the other.

They invest no money into the development of the application. It crashes all of the time. They allow new outfits and fancy NFTs (sarcasm). They have no problem taking money. However, none of it goes into development and overall performance.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE / DEACTIVATED ACCOUNT SEVERAL TIMES
I have an account dated back from 2008 too. In the past i have made many purchases in game, for subscribtion and goods. The last years i was login whenever possible, i was not always active, but having a creator store there i was logging once in a while. The first time i found out i couldn't login, i contacted support. It was a hell like experience, although i did have past payment receipts from paypal to them as proof that it was me.
Finally, my account was setup again, with new password, only to find out few days later that it was deactivated again. If i recall, this happened 3 times.
To contact their support is so painful that finally i gave up, maybe another time i'll try, maybe never again. They were closing cases without resolving the issue.
Better have peace of mind and stay away.
