As often said, its just a website for weird people. You get harassed easily and if you want to be something special in this game, you need to pay. If you don't chat with most of the people, its even kind of fun, but my account was permanantly banned without a good reason. I kinda liked this game, I feel so sorry for everyone who plays it. #ripimvu

Imvu banned you for no reason. you give them proof that they made a mistake and they don't help you. they harassed their paying consumers and than they give you some bs excuses even if you have proof that the account is yours. IMVU is awful, I’m harassed on there lots of times and I’ve been banned for reasons I’m unsure of because imvu doesn’t tell you. I am currently being harassed and imvu has not done a thing this has been going on for months. They don’t take the time to talk with you nor care, they just reply to you with an automated reply and if you keep trying to push through they will eventually ban you too. They do not refund you for anything either. And sometimes when you buy stuff they don’t even give it to you right away. I would give zero stars if I could. All the support members do not speak English either.

I've been a user and participant in virtual 3D worlds since Cybertown in 1999. What sets IMVU apart formost from all the others out there (including 3DVR headset social platforms) is the quality of the avatars and graphics. That's followed by it's feature-set and enormous amount of products, objects, outfits, rooms, and other items available in the millions in the IMVU Shop, which has been made possible by the largest user and creator base of any 3D virtual platform. Over the past 17 years, it has had it's ups and downs, and I've seen many reports on not-so-great customer service. However, over the past 3 years, I've seen the company take new initiatives in both its organization, platform technology, security, safety, and transactions. The company's new name is now "Together Labs", with IMVU as a subsidiary, and was the first virtual world to initiate an official SEC approved/regulated cryptocurrency two years ago called VCOIN, for use specifically in a social online platform and transferrable into real-world currency. They are also the only one to design and provide their own 3D Creating software, "IMVU Studio", which makes created 3D item integration seamless into the platform's Peer Review system. IMVU markets heavily to the younger generation who use the platform on both computer and phone app as a "game", but a good percentage of users are much older who have been on 3D worlds over the past 2 decades, as well as as a virtual presence for real-life businesses, organizations, groups, DJ's, and entertainment. It still remains a 3D world for 2D screen, which makes it accessible to everyone, even on a phone-app, yet the graphic quality is greatly enhanced and noticable when using a premium graphics card. No matter what one may think of IMVU, it is truly, ...the great "Social Experiment" in all meaning of the phrase, and a place where you can be anyone and anything you want to be, and fullfill dreams not possible in the real world.

Imvu does not care for their customers at all, thier customer service is terrible ive been playing for a couple years now and so far ive had 3 accounts banned for no good reason and recently ive had my last one taken away from me again beause they said im violating guidelines and not being truthful about my age. I have never lied about my age the same age on my profile is the age i actually am and when i report and ask if i can show them proof they completely ignored my attempt to clear my case and just decided that they wont give me it back. They dont read the tickets they tell people to write unless ur someone really important for their business because im obviously not the only one experiencing this problems and its really upsetting. So if ur new avoid trying to spend money on this game if you can because they are ready to ban you for literally anything without allowing u to give proof.

My girlfriend made an imvu account 2 days ago and they put it on hold asked me to give illegal documents about my credit card let alone her id all that because i let her borrow my credit card and now she has 40 dollars sent but a banned account. they will find the slightest excuse to get more data base as they told me i have to make another account and then send my case to hers just so they can get more player base this company is just a bunch of scammers and illegal mfs

have had my imvu account for 15 years. I have bought AP. My age has been verified. I have spent so much money on my account. I was chilling in my room one day and we were on the topic of age. I typed. ‘I’m 33, but mentally I’m 12" and as we all know UK has banter. I was merely joking. I have never misrepresented myself as anything other than my age. 33. My account was banned. I contacted and explained my side of the story but they refuse to give me back my account. I explained that if I typed I’m 33, but mentally 80 that wouldn’t have been an issue right? I’m absolutely furious and explained it was just a joke. I don’t see myself as a child nor act like one online. They’re refusing to listen or understand and the customer service I’ve received is appalling. The levels of stress and anxiety I am experiencing from this is ridiculous. If you have kids or a family I would stay as far away from this game as possible. This game does nothing and will teach you nothing but that it's okay to be a gangster this game has a agenda for people that thinks it's cool to be like that, this game was awesome in 2010-2012. But from what I'm hearing from reviews I'm not surprised if the game was run by hoodrats conning people out of money and catering to the toxicity of this game. So if you any other race but black or support the agenda of white people being exterminated because I saw a white girl say make (white boys extinct) then stay clear of this game because this is still going on ~Native Chief Hades~ Peace to all.

Yeah I deleted my old review because I'm embarrassed at the idea that people can recognize me and that things turn against me again and gave too many elements. I'm just at my wit's end from my months-long bullying case and I've had to come to terms with the fact that he'll never leave me alone and never stop bashing me in every room he goes and to turn all people against me until one of us dies. NO I haven't had any contact with him for a LONG TIME, YES I've blocked him from everywhere, and that doesn't prevent others from coming to tell me all the shjjjit. I can't even switch accounts because they systematically recognize me or track who I might be (yes, him and his "friends") I can't do anything at this point except...learn another language or being forced to leave when I'm the victim I guess? I tried to convince myself that everything would work out and that things would pass with time but everything got worse. this community disgusts me more and moreI came across other filthy people, some kind of disgusting sociopaths and sadists who eat the energy of others, rejoice in my problems and who treat me like less than a rubbish and aside from my personal case, I realized it was all screwed up when I saw the number of people blaming the victims of horrible behavior because they're just "weak human shjjt who should kill themselves if they can't stand it" and that "everything is only virtual so the harm done doesn't matter", "just close your pc and go back to crying in your corner like a child". I can't do anything more than tell you to never give out your private information or spend too much time on it and trust your intuition when you think something is wrong, because if you walk out of IMVU with this kind of sick you screwed up and these horribly mean people just screwed up my life way outside of this app, and i just can't do anything because i'm alone and nobody gives a fujjk and I've just had their belittlements and insults and their suicidal incitements in my head from morning till night, for years because those are the things that you never forget when initially you were this introverted and shy sickly kid who was looking for just an outlet for his suffering from the real world and very funny things like bullying at school and neglect from those around him? Trolls aren't that bad after all.

I recommend them to do the YouTube 3 strike system for creators , because I got instantly disabled for a mistake Worked 5 months very hard then boom account gone without any notice, I wouldn’t recommend to create on imvu

I love this apps and imvu community. The imvu community are listening to our ideas while improving and making it better the second life. Hope imvu will last longer then second life

I had an account for almost 15 years spent hundreds if not thousands on it and then they deleted my account for inactivity and refuse to do anything about it. Worst customer service ive ever experienced (CID 10106315 account name Felis) Incase anyone from IMVU see's this, f---you and your s---- game

The bugs they have right now Is very annoying. It's been like this for a while. The photo quality is bad sometimes. I can't even use the app long. Things never load and it's laggy. Hopefully, they can fix the bugs soon. I can't even get past the walkthrough. This definitely makes my experience worse. I've been on IMVU for many years, I left for just a year and came back to a mess. Aside from all these issues, the avatars are very nice and realistic. There is a lot of dating and violence on here so it's not made for kids.

This review takes place in 2016 and before, over a decade after release.
I made an account in 2007, I was a creator from 2012, in 2016 my account was hacked.
IMVU's conclusion was that I had given my password away even though I in fact quit in 2014.
I decided to come back in 2016 and I was unable to login, I did a password reset and received no email.

I used an avatar checker to look at my account to see if I was hacked, it said I was last online in 2015, but I never had the app on my computer for years, when I bought a new computer I never downloaded the app.

I checked my email to see if it was the correct one, it was because I found an email with my username so I was hacked.
Turns out the hacker changed my password and email, I emailed IMVU and they told me that I need to billing information on the account, except I never paid for anything digitally, I bought the cards from Tesco so I had no evidence. My VIP was lifetime from years ago before it was subscription base so I was able to create without paying.

I showed evidence of my email of registration and because it was changed I had to confirm my identification through the now changed email that the hacker used to confirm a change, yet why was I not emailed to verify email transfer nor a password change?

In other words, because IMVU refuses to add second verification nor any account security because they believe hackers do not exist and we simply give our passwords away, I lost all my credits and all my work that were worth over 100 pounds and my perks that were only limited from years ago.

Players have been begging for years for better account security because hacking is really bad on this app and it is worse.

We have been harassed for 2+ Years by some dumb guy who spams our feed posts then deletes his account to make a new one over and over after we block him. Thousands of people have complained about harassment issues but imvu hq doesnt care enough to take action, they just care about the money they're getting. Hundreds of people have asked them to implement the option to only allow Feed Post comments by people in their friends list but they ignore that too. the ability to block actions from other avatars should be available to everyone as well, not just to VIP users. by the way, this idiot found some of our social media accounts when we dont know how. HQ NEEDS TO ALLOW US THE OPTION TO TURN OFF FEED POST COMMENTS TO ANYONE NOT IN OUR FRIENDS LIST BECAUSE THIS IS TOTAL POOP. I am tired and exhausted from blocking his accounts just to have him make more and start all over again. Imvu used to be a great company/program but has gotten worse over the years because they have gotten greedy. They need to listen to their customers before something huge happens and they end up having a lawsuit on their hands.
