A Broker Who Actually Understands Complex Construction Risks

I recently worked with Firas Wahab from Gallagher (IMAR) to secure insurance for my business, SFM QLD Building Services, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the outcome.

Our business operates in the remedial construction and defect rectification space, which isn’t always straightforward to place from an insurance perspective.
Firas was transparent throughout the process, took the time to understand how we operate, and worked through a number of challenges to secure a policy that genuinely suits our needs.

What stood out most was his responsiveness, attention to detail, and willingness to go back to underwriters multiple times to clarify and improve key areas of cover.
He made what is normally a complex and frustrating process feel structured and manageable.

I would highly recommend Firas to anyone needing a broker who is thorough, professional, and genuinely invested in getting the right outcome for their client.

We have been dealing with John Barbera and his knowledge and attitude towards helping us get what we required and not over insuring has been second to none . I had emailed Martin Du to go ahead and send out policy. NO response.
I was called by a lady named Sue re the insurance.
Then I emailed Martin again and still no response.
So now I am NOT renewing my insurance with htem.

You told me I was covered for my public…

You told me I was covered for my public liability policy before I commenced the job. Three months in you told me I wasn't!! You then informed me i needed to pay an extra $6000 to retain my cover on that project.. Leaving me extremely exposed i had no choice. That's basically extortion... no im not happy with my experience.!

Been a client for nearly 20 years and…

Been a client for nearly 20 years and every year without fail the price goes up. I then have to call to reduce premium. Touch wood I've not had to claim yet. Gone are the days of customer loyalty.

I was struggling with current broker…

I was struggling with current broker and they gave me no choice but to ring around. I stumbled across Gallaghers and Faye took on my queries. I had to explain all the previous history and finding out I had not been correctly covered for things I had stipulated, add to that insurers had changed cover for what I needed. Faye patiently listened and took on the quest. It was a drawn out process trying to find an insurer who would cover, and the inclusion of a legal document that needed legal advice, Well Faye hung in there during the whole month or so long drawn out process, phone calls, emails, back and forth, hitting brick walls, get close, then the rug was pulled, but Faye never wilted, she hung in there, kept searching, and in the end we had success with an insurer. Highly recommend Faye and all the staff at Gallager.

I Contacted your office to get cyber insurance quote 6 weeks ago and 4 weeks ago. I was told the they would phone me back both times. Still haven't heard.
