Worst customer service

Worst customer service. Do not go here unless you want over an hour wait times and people and bots that don't actually help you and hang up on you/end messaging before you are done.

ahm premium increased 52% 1 month after I signed contract AND deducted $200 after 1 month

In mid Mar, I switched to AHM paying a lower premium $90.13 with less coverage. Unfortunately, in less than 10 days, I received an email claiming the premium increased to $145.65. To make things worse, in mid Apri, ahm deducted $200.15 from my account.
I called and emailed ahm but no reply so far!
Dont want other consumers to be fooled. Avoid ahm!!!

No customer service

Very poor customer service. Very long wait times to speak to someone online or phone. Very slow at transfering policy from original fund to theirs. I was getting charged by both funds nearly 2 weeks after joining ahm. So I opted out and went back to my existing fund!

Hi Fiona, I am really sorry to hear about your experience. Long wait times, delays transferring cover, and being charged by two funds at the same time would be incredibly frustrating, and that should not have happened.
We are currently in one of the busiest times of the year with annual premium reviews, which can put extra pressure on our call queues and processing times. That said, we completely agree this is not an excuse for long waits or slow follow up, and it does not change the fact that your experience fell short.
We appreciate you raising this, as it clearly highlights where our service and processes have not worked as they should. It is disappointing to hear we were not able to support you properly during what should have been a straightforward change.

AVOID THEM

AVOID THEM.

Going through a stressfull time at the moment with Skin Cancer and they don't do anything to actually support - they don't cover anything like hospital cover etc

If you go up the packages to have it covered it ends up being the same cost as my CAR LOAN.

Avoid - go else where just a rip off. Much much better options out there.

Since I have resolved all of my issues…

Since I have resolved all of my issues with providing incorrect information and actually received a phone call to ensure I wouold have a better deal I have been happier with the outcome of my original call. I have reduced my monthly payments and have tailored my deal to suit my needs better. The time it has taken with the misinformation on emails was tiresome, but I am up and running now.

Actual Scam

Waited 75 minutes on hold to be told, no it indeed is correct that I'll only get $18 back on a $400 payment after not claiming anything for a year.

Speaking with Lee to initiate my return as an AHM policy holder, I couldn't have asked for a smoother experience. All details being clearly covered with such a genuine and helpful operator, is a rare novelty these days. Very happy!

Competitive Health Insurance - AHM

On initial contact I found the representative to be friendly and informative. She clearly presented her companies policy features in a clear and concise manner and contrasting those feature to my existing policy. There was no overt or covert pressure to switch insurance, a trait which was appreciated compared to other agents. Highly recommended.

We have just switched to AHM after 30 years at one company. Kara, who answered our call, was exceptional - knowledgeable, helpful, patient and charming. If all at AHM are like Kara I feel I have certainly moved to the right company.
