I would like to say a massive thank you to H Samuel Southampton and the customer service team. The diamond set in my engagement ring came out and was lost. I called customer services and they explained I would need to take the remaining part of the ring to a shop so they could check it hadn’t been tampered with. The staff at the Southampton branch were very helpful explaining what would need to be done and once the checks were done they agreed to replace it. Unfortunately H Samuel no longer sell my ring - I was gutted!! However I spoke to Linda in customer services and she said she would contact the manufacturer and see if they could get an identical replacement. I am pleased to say she was able to get me an identical replacement, it took 8 weeks but I’m am so glad the effort was made as this is more than just a ring to me. This is what I called excellent customer service and I am so grateful.

My daughter and two of her friends recently had their ears pierced at h Samuel by Penny. Penny was really reassuring, very patient and clear on aftercare. Great experience for the girls (13). Thank you.

I recently visited H Samuel in West Quay looking for a piece of jewellery my partner had seen on the website, which was going to be a birthday present. I described the item to the sales rep to the best of my ability as I could not get signal to show the photo. To which she responded in an extremely condescending tone 'We don't have anything in here for £40' whilst giving me a disapproving up and down look to suggest I could not afford anything more expensive. They absolutely has plenty of items for £40 but my partner wanted a specific birthstone piece.

Upon being treated like I wasn't good enough for their custom, I went to along to F. HINDS and spent over £100 on a beautiful item and I was served by a lovely lady who clearly understands what fantastic customer service really is.

Poor poor show from that vile lady in H Samuel Southampton West Quay.

We were looked after by Darren, he was articulate, polite and helpful. Rare is it that sales representatives are genuinly interested in their customers and serve them accordingly. We are delighted with our purchase which was to replace a lost wedding ring. Darren listened and remembered me when I returned to collect our purchase. My only criticism would be that the casual Saturday workers who initially meet the customer on entry should at least remember what the customer asked for whilst relaying the request to the appropriate sales person, and at least look and learn from the subsequent transaction, instead of returning to their post and continue staring out of the showroom window.

H. Samuel - West Quay- visited the store today with my Daughter to choose a wedding band for her upcoming wedding- served by a sales associate, chose a ring and when it came to applying a 10% discount , a male who I believe is store manager came over and seemed to be almost arguing with the sales associate when it came to be paying . He was extremely rude and made both myself and my daughter feel extremely uncomfortable. We made excuses and left the store , what should have been a very special moment for myself and my Daughter turned out to be completely miserable . This is not the first time I’ve witnessed poor customer service and dreadful argumentative behaviour from this male ( didn’t get his name ) he should not be working in retail !!!!

Excellent customer service from Assistant Manager Darren at the Southampton store today. Whilst a very good salesman, he was also not at all pushy, and respected the fact that I said I like time to "take stock" and make decisions without emotion or pressure. We took time to go away for a coffee and chat before returning to purchase the right rings for us. Darren was so polite, approachable and knowledgeable. We are very grateful to have been with him today.

I visited H.Samuel at the West Quay Southampton on the 3rd December to get my ears pierced & was dealt with by Karen a very pleasant patient young lady who explained everything to me throughout the session. I had got confused about a few things and she was so lovely to me. Also as l have some mobility issues and found sitting on the stool difficult for the piercing she offered that l could sit on the sofa for the procedure. Such kind consideration was greatly appreciated & l shall be returning for further ear piercings as l had such a good experience for the appointment. Karen is a credit to the company with her consideration & excellent customer relations. I look forward to returning to the store for my next ear piercing because of her expertise in dealing with me having a senior moment.

From start to finish the Communication was 0 .
The responds was 0
The item i had bought in was never fixed .
It taken 5 mths from start to finish to receive back.
I would never go back to them and the only reason i used them as i had bought from them hoping it would be fixed .
The store is in West Quay Southampton .
No opology No recongition on there service absolutely diabolical

H. Samuel Southampton west quay. Want to say a big thankyou to Megha. She sold us our wedding rings but due to unforeseen circumstances we had to return them. The shop were very accommodating and couldn't do enough for us. We took a long time deciding what to exchange our rings for but they were so professional and didn't rush us. Even helped to use our exchange wisely and get every penny back. They were very busy as it was a sat afternoon but just shows the professionalism in this store. Hopefully her managers will see this. Thanks again Megha! Xx

With all the higher end jewellers around, Samuels just appears too cheap for me. I'm not a snob but when I wanted to buy a watch the other day it was like walking in to Argos. Fine if you want cheap items.

I got a lovely watch for my mother at a discounted price—excellent service from Zoe (Westquay).

The worst retail experience ever... I am a loyal customer of H. Samuel and have spent a lot of money over the years in the Southampton branch. Today, I went into the branch. A young lady told me that somebody would be with me shortly. That didn't happen. I approached a lady called Julie. She said I was next and she would be with me in a minute. I waited and she just walked off and went round asking people if she could help them. I felt very upset and totally invisible. To discriminate against me, in such an obvious manner, on the grounds of age and disability was absolutely disgusting. Thank goodness for the other jewellers I went to afterwards. They understood what great customer service was, hence my making a rather large purchase. Avoid this branch if you're an older person with disabilities. You aren't wanted...

Absolutely lovely staff doing ear piercing lovely professional Laura and her colleague made my daughters experience a great experience. Highly recommend! Incredible with children lots of care . Thank you so much both of you again ! 💗

Went in there looking to buy a new watch. The lady serving me was incredibly helpful, letting me try on all the ones I wanted. Gave me a great price, matching what could be found online for that model. Would highly recommend.

Great service today for my daughter’s ear piercing! Thank you to Darren at H Samuel, West Quay.
She was a little nervous and was so relieved that it didn’t hurt.
Advice for aftercare was brilliant too….and they will check in on her in 6 weeks. Very happy.

Penny is extremely knowledgable regarding product and delivery details.
She personally helped offer a service to buy in store and arrange a delivery the day that suited and provided a lovely gift box and card for a personal message. I would definitely use this store again and recommend her expertise and customer service. She is very professional and kind. Thank you

Very patient assistant when I was not sure about buying the watch i ordered online,let me try other watches on, in the end i settled on the one I ordered online.
