We visited the H.Samuels in St Davids Cardiff. A lovely member of staff called Lorraine helped us buy 2 sets of earrings for our Nan as a gift. Lorraine was very friendly and helpfull and we were very happy with what we brought. Our Nan was very pleased too! I would highly recommend shopping at this store!

I am heartbroken, I have had multiple issues with my engagement over the past 2 years, 1 being my fault and bent it but we took it to be fixed and it came back still wonky and we got told I had a fake diamond but they claimed to have replaced it. Now a couple of weeks ago my diamond fell out, took it back to the shop because it shouldn’t have fallen out and my experience in the Cardiff store was horrendous to the point where they made me cry.
The workers made it out to be my fault and when I mentioned it was still wonky they had an attitude and claimed they can’t see it until I pointed it out and the attitude shifted but then they blamed me for not going back sooner to tell them (I am a busy person), and they claimed to have never said I had a fake diamond when I first took it to them. They sent my ring off to see if it was my fault or if there was a fault with the ring, they told me it would take 10 days fast forward to today (over 2 weeks later) we get a phone call telling us it is my fault and that it doesn’t look like wear and tear but rather it was caught on something surely your engagement ring is meant to last and to be wearable. They also told us that the cost of getting it fixed we should just buy a new engagement and they have taken my ring to Birmingham for a second opinion. I get married in 8 months and it looks like I won’t have my engagement ring.

Marina at the Cardiff store was a great help. I got the perfect ring and at H. Samuel I was never made to feel out of place, whereas at some jewellery stores I was always a little intimidated. And when the size was slightly off, I was able to get the next size up with no problems.

I had to make a review about 'Magic Mike' the manager of H. Samuel in Cardiff, St David's Centre. He went above & beyond what you'd expect. I had bought 2 watches from him & each time he took me through all of their features helping me to make an informed decision which watches suited my needs. I took both watches back when they needed to be altered at summer/winter time. He again during a busy day took time out to serve me. He was actually running between customers the store was that busy. Why can't all managers be this good. He is an asset to the store. Thanks again Mike!

Worst service.
I have places an order two times thru online and waited for 2 weeks then it’s cancelled.

Me and my partner are in Wales on holiday and he proposed to me! Unfortunately the ring was a little snug for my finger. We popped into the Cardiff Branch where we enquired if there was anything we could do. The staff were very helpful and ended up referring us to Mike, he really did go out of his way to try to help us he suggested many different ways we could go about it but came to the conclusion we couldn’t do anything while we are away as we didn’t have the certificate that came with the ring with us. Mike was very apologetic and polite. (Anyways fast forward me guilting my sister to bring us the certificate) We head back to the shop and because of the information Mike had given us we knew what we needed to do and he assisted us again and I now have a perfect ring that fits and means when We go home from holiday We can show it off to all our friends and family. It really has meant so much to me and my fiancé!

My boyfriend bought me a beautiful promise ring for my birthday in September, we had to go in store to get it changed as it was too big (our mistake) all was fine and we got the new one delivered which it came in a few days, no issues whatsoever. After 2 months of me wearing the ring one of the stones fell out, safe to say I was heartbroken. But this month we finally managed to go back to this store as its the closest one to my boyfriends home to see what can be done. A lovely man greeted us, he said we was eligible for a replacement as it was a faulty ring and was incredibly sympathetic as it was obvious what meaning the ring had, knocked off the near £5 delivery charge too as he saw when we got the ring changed due to incorrect size we already paid that before. I also even got the ring insured as this whole incident made me worried and I wanted extra cover on the ring. He processed it all on the system, took all my boyfriends details as it again was going to go to his address, gave us our expected delivery date of 12th Jan and our reciepts and we left.

13th January we still had no ring so alarm bells went in my head so I went onto live chat with hsamuel who said the store will have to call my boyfriend in regards to this issue, that was literally it. The store called my boyfriend and told him the order for the replacement ring was CANCELLED. So redid the order AGAIN. they did not give my boyfriend a new order number or anything, not even a delivery date.

So today, being now the 19th Jan, we still have no ring nor any emails or anything in regards to this matter.

I am so incredibly upset as this item was a promise ring to me, it has meaning and value. It was not cheap either. Then adding on the insurance I personally bought. Just to be put through all of this, and now to top it off I don't even have a faulty ring. I have absolutely nothing. Yes this issue may be resolved soon as me and my boyfriend are set on getting this ring and either today or tomorrow are calling hsamual again but the hassle and stress we've been put through is just unacceptable by all means.

Update from my boyfriend who just called the store- "It was never coming. The order was cancelled because it was only in stock from nothern ireland and because of the currency exchange problems it was cancelled and they wont reorder, she gave me three options and they all involve me going back to the store i cant even get a refund unless i go in store" Why couldn't we be told this two weeks ago?!

Another update- my boyfriends mother called the store as she rightly said an online order should be refunded online and said this to them in which they again said they'd call back, they called back and agreed to doing a refund of the ring and my insurance and to expect it in my boyfriends account in 5-7 days. All sorted? NOPE! Got another call stating they've just noticed a processing order for the ring and asked my boyfriend to wait another 2 weeks to see if he receives it and if he doesn't to call back, so my boyfriend rightly said no he wants the refund and they AGAIN said they'd call back. Did they? Nope.

UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!! Never been so angry or upset in regards to an shopping order of any sort before, when we have this refund we'll definitely be going elsewhere for a ring. Hsamuel has lost mine and my boyfriends custom indefinitely.

My Husband and I purchased our wedding rings from H.Samuel in Cardiff back in May 2021 after he had purchased the most beautiful engagement ring from the same shop just 18 months earlier and we had the most amazing experience. Even when we realised the wedding ring I liked didn’t come as standard stock in the metal I needed nor did it fit snug around the engagement ring It wasn’t too much trouble for them. One of the shop assistants was so knowledgable and reassuring and talked us through the process of getting the ring custom made. I must say the whole process was so stress free and I’m so happy with the ring. It was the best decision to shop at H.Samuel.

Staff were friendly and followed Cov-19 restrictions within reason. I'm terrible at remembering names by the gentleman that served me was quick, friendly and knowledgeable.

Ordered my product at a great sale price 50% off the list price.
Product arrived 48 hours later (I was expecting 3-5 working days)
Inspecting the product for packaging and quality (I feel like I cheated H. Samuel out of monies). The product is of AAA standard. Over the moon with the product and over all service provided.
