I received a first-rate service from everyone at the Ashby branch of Howkins & Harrison. They were all really friendly and helpful from the first meeting (July 2025) to the last (January 2026). They were really good at keeping me updated with the progress of the sale of the property and were always on hand to answer queries and deal with concerns. Can't thank them enough!

I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the conduct of the staff member who showed us the property on 3rd January.

Unfortunately, our experience during the viewing was extremely disappointing. The agent who attended appeared unprofessional and unwelcoming throughout the appointment. She arrived with a McDonald’s coffee and showed very little interest in conducting the viewing. She did not walk us through the property, explain the layout, or even indicate how many rooms the flat had. Instead, we were left to explore the property entirely on our own. Her attitude came across as visibly annoyed, which made the experience uncomfortable.

Despite this, we were genuinely interested in the flat and confirmed our intention to proceed the very next day. However, we received no response to our follow-up email. We have since noticed that the property is now marked as “let agreed” on your website, which is extremely frustrating given our prompt confirmation and willingness to proceed.

Lisa was amazing when sorting out our rental, so lovely, highly recommend!!

I deeply regret renting with Howkins and Harrison, Northampton.First they are not efficient with updating their documents. They won’t give you documents to sign and then push false narrative that you have a binding contract.

I've dealt with Drew at the Northampton office for some time now with the property I rent out & I have always found him to be knowledgeable, reliable & provides excellent customer service. Highly recommended.

Northampton branch for being so helpful in finding a contractor to come and fix our oven that decided to stop working just before Christmas, when we need it the most. We really appreciate the fast response and the professionalism that Vikki showed to sort the situation. Overal, the service, beyond 5 stars.

From the very start of our experience we felt very confident that our house sale was in safe hands . The video and photos were far better than our previous estate agent and they organised 4 viewings on the first day of sale and they sold house on 2nd day. The follow up service answering queries by Andy and Matilda was excellent till the sale was completed.

Drew handled the move out and deposit process extremely well. He coordinated the required works and kept me fully informed along the way. Excellent service.

After 10yrs with Howkins & Harrison managing my property, my experience was turned around with Kelly Petterwood dealing with the end of tenancy which was a breath of fresh air.

Martin, Karen, Cally and Amy, along with their support staff from the Howkins and Harrison Towcester office, helped make the move in our new home an excellent one. They provided solid information and advice throughout the process, ensuring we were able to sell our house to achieve our next home. Even on the day of the move, they kept us up to date with a real-time progress report, making the last hurdle of completion much less stressful. The Northampton branch have looked after my rental properties for the last 7or 8 years and I’ve been really pleased with the level of service and response to the various issues that inevitably arise with property management. Special thanks to Kelly who always responds promptly.

Drew has been a great estate agent. He has always provided quick solutions to concerns raised. In fact I thought estate agents work in favour of landlords until Drew proved me wrong.
He will go extra miles to make sure everything is ok with both parties to avoid any dispute. He does his work with such deligence. He makes sure he performs his duties in the best interest of both the landlord and tenant.
I feel apart from being an estate agent, he is also a voice for the voiceless.
I will forever be grateful to him.
