Overall this shop has been getting tattier over the last few years... However, the women on the tills are always great. Theresa was one of the friendliest people I've ever dealt with in a shop.

Really poor product for paint. I got some high end Farrow and Ball here - it clearly hasn’t been looked after. The can was dented and the paint product had a green layer of film and mould on it. Not happy.

I don't do reviews much but couldn't help but submit a review for Kerry. Kerry has helped me a few times in the past and is consistently so friendly and helpful. Today I bought compost and she told me that there was an offer on, so I bought another at half price.

Then I bought paint and couldn't see what I wanted on the shelf. She checked if it was in stock and confirmed stock levels of a different size. I was happy to look again for myself but without prompting she asked a colleague to help me. I felt so special.

I met her again outside and she said a really pleasant thank you with a smile when I returned the trolley.

Thank you Kerry. Nice to see that good old fashioned customer service still exists.

Easy to order online. Kept up to date when collection would be available. The bags of compost & canes were already on a flat bed trolley when I went to collect.

Excellent customer service from Nina matching some paint for me first as a sample and then a 5 litre pot. Nina really knowing her stuff helped me no end. Ant on the checkout too was pleasant and knowledgeable. Thank you both!!

Effortless click and collect,in and out in less than 5minutes

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from a staff member named Tanveer. She was incredibly rude, more focused on her phone, and engaged in a personal conversation with her colleagues about her braces and wanting to get rid of them. I had to wait for about two minutes before she stopped talking and got off her phone to assist me. As a loyal customer who has been shopping here regularly for over three years without any issues, I was shocked by this experience.

I first noticed her this summer, and even a few weeks ago, she was quite rude, laughing when I asked for directions to the bathroom furniture section. Yesterday, her behavior was unacceptable, to say the least. Not only was she rude, but she also gave me the wrong change. While I don’t typically complain, her attitude truly ruined my day.

As someone who works in retail, I understand the importance of treating customers with kindness and respect, and this was far from it. It was a 0/10 experience, and Home Base should really consider hiring friendlier and more professional staff.

I was served by tanveer,a helpful friendly member of staff and I would not hesitate recommending this store.

Recently went into collect tiles that had reserved on click and collect. Upon receiving the items I noticed that a lot of them were damaged. Kerry and Raj went above and beyond to help me with this issue and took their time to open all the boxes I had bought to ensure the level of damage! I had travelled a long way to collect these tiles and really appreciated how helpful and friendly they both were!

I was very disappointed with the customer service I received. I ordered 2 expensive shelving units which were delivered to me a day before a party at my house. One of the units turned out damaged with a twisted leg. The other unit was clearly a returned item and was also damaged & heavily scratched, Homebase had the nerve to offer me a measly £20 maximum discount. I had no other option but to repair and keep the shelves as I needed them to tidy up my house before the party the following day.
Homebase got back in contact with me and resolved the matter to my satisfaction.

Tim, deputy manager went out of his way to help me. Really helpful gentleman. Also, the ladt who served me was very pleasant. It was almost closing time but they didn't make us rush.

This is such a shame I have to write this as I previously left 5 star for my amazing customer service the other day. However today when I went to return something I was served by a different girl called Sam who was beyond rude the way she served me. Acted like I was an inconvenience to her, she was moody, short and slammed the receipt down and went thanks bye, and for absolutely no reason, was evident she was in a bad mood. Whether she was just stressed or having a bad day, I work in retail and understand it can be hard but I would never speak to customers the way she acted. Disappointed and I left the store feeling like her behaviour was so unnecessary.
