I was served by Nicola in the garden centre and she was so helpful. It really made my experience much better! Such a sweet and kind lady! Top marks from me 10/10

Joe was very helpful and polite and helped us with what we needed.

Although the product I bought was damaged but likely nothing to do with Homebase, the staff were fantastic, received a phone call to explain the issue and Peter dealt with when I went into the store to collect and he resolved the issue brilliantly and even helped me to my car with what I bought, great staff!

It was very easy to order through the website. The cushion I had ordered was beautiful and very good quality for £16. Unfortunately the colour was not suitable so I returned it to store. Refund was issued quickly with no problems.

I bought a Homebase Powerwasher in Feb 2023, but it developed a leak the other day. It had a 3 year guarantee, so checked with online chat, but they said as it was an online order, so would have to go to the store I picked it up at, Craigleith in Edinburgh. Rolled up at the store with online receipt, spoke briefly with the manager (sadly didn’t catch his name), confirmed details and fault, and we trotted off to get an identical replacement from the shelf. A new receipt was issued and it was all done in about 5 min. So nice to see such good customer service when it comes to goods breaking down, kudos to Craigleith Homebase and the manger.

I recently bought some rolls of turf from Homebase in Craigleith, Edinburgh.

One roll didn’t take, so I had to go and get another roll.

Chris at Craigleith told me to take a photo of the failed roll, to show him, and he would give me a full refund for the replacement roll.

I did -and he kept his word!

Excellent, “no quibble” service!

Was served by Katie on tills. She greeted me with a smile and her mannerism was cheerful and naturally friendly. And, she wished me a great day! It was a simple scan and go transaction, through the checkout in under a minute, but it's great to receive such a positive service.

I was buying a dimmer switch and 3 dimmable lamps for a new light I had fitted. The selection of dimmer switches was better than I thought HOMEBASE would have. I selected the items I needed and at the checkout the assistant NAZIA was very polite. She asked if I had managed to get everything I had wanted for the job I was doing - I told her I was an electrician. I thanked her for being ready to ask me about the job I was doing. I think this is good customer relations.

We were looking for a new kitchen and saw one we liked in Homebase. We booked an appointment and went down to Homebase, Craigleith, Edinburgh, to be served by Amanda Ross,who, when we discussed what we wanted for our kitchen, pointed us in the right direction and kept us right which we are so grateful for. After our initial consultation with Amanda, we drove home happy with what she had showed us, and we were back down 3 days later to finalise our order. She gave us advice and help, all done in a most friendly manner, and we have now had our lovely kitchen delivered. So pleased with it and all Amanda’s help too. She’s a lovely lady, and we hope her manager at Craigleith appreciates Amanda’s great service and happy to help attitude!!

Thank you to Gillian who served me today. Friendly and conscientious. I live on my own and haven't spoke to any one all weekend. Thank you for serving me and Friendly customer service who made me feel like a human being. Part of society instead of using those soulless automated paying machines.

The process of ordering was good. Collection was ok. The person serving was not too helpful given the size of the package. When we got the order home it was clear that it had been stored externally and rain had penetrated the packaging. This resulted in staining from metal parts onto the plastic. Whilst we managed to clean some of it there was staining which we couldn’t remove. As we were able to put this to the rear where no one will see it we decided not to return it as that would have required and additional trip. However, it was disappointing.

It is unbelievable and unacceptable that homebase charges 5X as much as competition.

I came today for electrical supplies and the product cost me 5X more than the same item in Screwfix.

They have gone too far in taking advance of the poor DIYer who doesn't know better.

I hope this serves as an alert to any potential customer - you will be ripped off!
