Had no problem with this transaction

The girl that cut the keys for me was lovely and very helpful. She was also incredibly efficient in serving the other customers while the keys were cutting.

Very quick and easy to order online and very quick colection the staff in homebase dumfries was very helpfull and polite and cheery keep up the good work and will buy from you again.

Nothing was too much trouble for Molly. I had a few queries including a refund and she was first class. A very pleasant experience.

We'd run out of paint whilst painting the outside of the house. Looking at ordering more on line from our Dumfries store we found it to be out of stock. I rang to check if they knew when they would be getting more in and was told, by a very helpful Ziggy, that he would check and ring me back. True to his word he rang back after a short while to say they would be getting the 10L Sandex back in stock in our colour but couldn't say when the stock would arrive. However, he had located 2 of the 5L tins in our chosen colour and told us we could have them for the 'on offer' price of the 10L tins. We called to pick them up the following day and they were behind the till for us. Excellent service. Thank you Ziggy

I have to say I am utterly appalled by the behaviour and attitude in the store.

I came in on Sunday around late afternoon and bought some plants from the garden centre.
. On my way to pay i got distracted by the stands of products. While I am browsing I heard someone basically b**ching about someone else. I turned round briefly to see it was a staff member with short shaven hair and a little plump looking talking to member with longer hair.
As I am browsing the items I cannot help hear their conversation as they weren’t talking the quietest.
The member with the short hair was basically being very rude towards someone else who I managed to gather was a previous employee.
The girl with the long hair looked angry and uncomfortable with the situation.
I next then heard the short haired girl say “how can she afford that, i bet her parents helped her” and scoffed when saying “annan, why would she want to live there”.
I then again heard the same employee saying something along the lines of “Care, if she has a job in care she wont be making that much” and how care is a job to get in if your desperate.
As someone who works in the care industry and has done for over 12 years I found this comment cheeky and very inconsiderate.

I then left the area to look at buying pillows for a sofa as i had remember i wanted some.
I cannot explain how annoyed and appalled I was hearing this. They were just being rude and nosy and getting there nose in other people’s business.
I later found out from a friend that also shops at homebase frequently that she too had heard this same staff member being rude and inconsiderate to other staff members behind their backs on numerous occasions.

I feel really sorry for the previous employee she was talking about because it was absolutely shocking to hear what she was saying. It sounded like pure jealousy and hatred. I wish to never hear anything similar if I ever return to the store after that.

Quick and efficient staff did not have to wait for my order to be processed in and out in 5 minutes

Was greeted as soon as I entered the store. The staff member noticed that I was checking my mobile phone and asked if I was there for click and collect. When I confirmed she said “Oh I can get that for you.” From entering store to leaving could have been no more than 2 minutes complete with all my purchases! Fantastic! Thank you!

Phil was happy to assist with mixing up some paint for me. He was perfectly polite and helpful, asked if I needed help sourcing some extra bits and bobs. Good selection of items, overall happy with my experience.

I'd checked earlier in the day for the item I wanted and went in to buy it, as the checkier was busy i was told it must be out of stock because I couldn't find it on the shelf , I then went home and ordered it by click and collect and 1hr later was emailed to say it was ready to collect all in the same day

Always check homebase as it seems to have a variety of items in stock and sometimes it may have a hot deal price that is on offer. If i can't find what I'm looking for individual staff members will help, specially if Phil.H is on duty who always has time to help and advise you of stock.
