Bought laminate flooring 2020 for new kitchen, over £1000 paid. Absolute thin, flimsy rubbish. Most joints show and does not fit together very well.
For many, many years I was working in the building and maintenance industry and had several material outlets to choose from , and never chose to buy from Homebase as all the others were better in quality and price.
Unfortunately I shopped at Homebase Chichester for our new kitchen. Big mistake.
Now have to replace the lot. Be warned.

Well what a joke ordered my stuff of line got a phone call saying they run out of my iteams the fabric cubes asked if they had different colours which martin your in store employee said we could change the colour and do a swap over to turn up and be told I have to pay more for them and he didn't swap any of it what a total job the lack of communication and the store manger was totally rude he should learn how to speak to people so well done martin you done a great job NOT

We have been shopping at Homebase Chichester for a while now. On one of our early visits we received some friendly and professional help from Janet, she really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and took the time to talk about ideas for our future home improvements. Every time we have gone back we actively look for her for any help we may need. That is not to say anything against other staff interactions that we have had, as they have all been good as well, but she is truly a star.
With the shop closing we will honestly miss having our chats and wish her and all the staff the very best for the future.

Went into Chichester Homebase to look for bathroom storage and Janet overheard us talking, she suggested a natural wicker storage system. Then we happened upon a wardrobe for a different need, again Janet was very quick and so helpful.
Ordered the wicker storage and collecting on Sunday, will have another look at the wardrobe and will probably order it.Obviously this store is not on the hit list hopefully.

The staff were great but I felt sorry for them when 4 or 5 teenage boys decided to come in and start trashing the place. I felt vulnerable as a customer. It’s a bit of a moot point as the company seems to be folding, but your staff need more support.

Went into Homebase in Chichester today got served by two lovely ladies, Janet & Amanda they were so helpful helping me and my husband. Very attentive and happy.

I have used Homebase many times before and I tend to favour them for DIY over other leading retailers.

However the customer service that I received from the Chichester branch today was absolutely appalling from both the staff member I spoke with and the store manager.

To say I felt belittled and pratronised was an understatement when all I wanted to do was clarify if the product I was ordering would be ready to collect before closing as i was travelling from over 30 minutes. away.

I called the store in advance and was told by a staff member to start with that he couldn't place the phone down and check that the item was in stock, before i asked my husband to leave, his response was " I can do that or I can save my time and yours and you can just wait for the text message." Several times I tried explaining that I wasn't being difficult but if I received the text message within an hour the store would be closed I then asked to speak with the manager and was told I understand but "whilst I am on the phone to you madam there are members of the public that I am now not able to serve."

When the item was ready I received a call from the click and collect manager Niko who was very helpful and polite and went above and beyond.

DO NOT ever call this store for clarification as they are not very forthcoming, their head office on the other hand were very understanding.

Excellent customer service from Jack. I was disappointed that I couldn’t order the colour paint I wanted. Even though Jack was about to go home, he stayed and mixed the colour for me. The lady who helped him was so friendly, I went out the store with a smile on my face and a perfect pot of paint!

I recently visited Homebase to collect a Keter storage unit I had ordered, but my experience left a lot to be desired. Upon arrival, I was met with confusion from the staff member at the customer service desk. Although I provided details of my order, she informed me that it wasn’t there. I mentioned it was a Keter storage unit, and she acknowledged that she knew there was one but it didn’t have my name on it, which was frustrating. She then attempted to call for assistance over the tannoy but was met with silence. I even suggested I fetch the item myself as it maybe quicker.

Feeling exasperated, I requested to speak with a manager. After another tannoy call, a young staff member finally arrived, taking over the situation with professionalism. He explained that my order had mistakenly been given to another customer and sincerely apologised. Unfortunately, the replacement unit was in poor condition—the package was ripped, and the unit itself showed signs of wear, as though it had been dragged across the floor.

Before leaving, I mentioned to the young man that the initial staff member’s attitude was unhelpful and came across as rude. In my opinion, she would benefit from additional customer service training. This experience was disappointing overall, as I expected better organisation and service from Homebase.

Dawn in your Chichester garden depot was outstandingly helpful and polite. If all staff were as good as Dawn the 'High Street' branches would flourish.

Martin called me to discuss my online click and collect paint order. Great service that is rarely seen these days. Then in store all who helped me, including the female manageress who had everything running so smoothly and serving customers too, again just great friendly service from all. Thank you

Click & collect is a very easy service at Homebase & your order is ready to collect within the hour.

Quick speedy response and rang to let me know that they couldnt access my exact item but we're sending the same but better quantity.

Very helpful staff, lady who picked the order directed me to the till and was very friendly. Then Jason helped me with two trollies to the car and helped me put the pots in my boot. Just what I needed after a long day at work. Thank you

Great customer service from Janet who helped us locate a number of items this afternoon. She has a lovely sunny attitude and we were most grateful.

We were served by Dawn and Niko. Both went above and beyond to help us in store with our purchase. Both stayed after their shift had finished to ensure a complete service. Extremely kind, friendly and professional. They couldn’t have done more to help. We were so impressed and thankful.

Shout out to Jason for helping load the sofa into the car too.

Easy & straightforward

Paint order ready on time. Even put it into a trolley for me as it was heavy. 5*, Great service.
